Average Stay

The house was in a great location, there were some minor quirks to the home. Some of the upkeep needed a little attention but when the property owner was contacted regarding an issue they did send someone out to rectify the issue.

Check in & communication was good. House will sleep 8 but there were only two mismatched chairs & stools on the beautiful 3 level deck. Those two chairs were too heavy to move anywhere else. There is an old picnic table on top deck that I got a splitter from the first morning, so we chose not to use it. We were not able to use & relax at fire pit since there were no chairs. When we arrived the coffee maker descale light was on, had to the clean scum off bottom of water tank before using it. Some kitchen items, glasses, bowls & silverware, were not clean, I guess that happens when there is no dishwasher. Hand washing the dishes was no an easy task since both sink stoppers were broken. There wasn’t an ice maker or trays to make ice. Master bed made a noise every time we moved & the air conditioning blew right on you, all the time There was no attempt to make master bedroom cozy in a huge space. Upstairs there were children’s beds but no way to block steps if you needed to. Mirror in the only bath had some kind of finish that made it hard to see/use. We were attending a wedding and had to go up and down the stairs to use the other mirror. Bathroom door doesn’t shut easy. There were a few light bulbs out in kitchen Some of the blinds were broken, but we could still use them. We chose not to have broken blinds & burnt out bulbs in our home so it was disappointing to vacation that way. Nice home but clearly a filter/editing was used on posted pics.

Quaint

It was adorable inside. Nice lake view. Inside bathroom door didn’t close and didn’t realize there was only one. A small bedroom was off of the master bedroom. It was ok just didn’t realize that. Couch was super comfy and beds were so comfortable!!!!

Great stay

Overall a great stay. Property was very clean inside. Could be better if the doors were fixed and the landscaping taken care of especially a walkway from the driveway to the main entrance.

Stay at Acre Lake

The property is nice. Sitting on the dock was very enjoyable and quiet. We inquired about the significant cleaning fee along with the request to wash the dishes, take out the garbage, and remove the sheets. We were don't believe guests should be asked to clean the property and pay a cleaning fee as well. The property manager we discussed this issue with was less than professional. In addition, and most importantly, there are cameras throughout the interior of the property which is an extreme invasion of privacy. We covered all of them.
