Jillian and I came to the Pike's Peak area before we were married and living in Colorado, and we were so smitten by it that we vowed we would live here together someday. We love intimate, downtown spaces at the foot of the mountains, and we feel so alive when we're in distinctive places like Old Colorado City, Garden of the Gods, Red Rock Canyon Park, Manitou Springs, Cave of the Winds, Pikes Peak and Cheyenne Canyon.

What makes this condo unique

Amazingly appointed space that feels intimate for a single or couple, but that can easily host families or other groups of 7 people.

Have some wine by the fire, cook a great meal in the fully-sized kitchen, invite friends over to hang out, catch a movie on Netflix and/or enjoy games of all kinds, from cards, to chess, to darts to puzzles to board games.

Seconds walk from all kinds of high quality restaurants, galleries, pubs, and shops.

Bike or take a short drive to mountain trails, parks, awesome vistas, and natural playgrounds. Want to get to area attractions or cruise around the area on a bicycle? Not only can you get to Garden of the Gods and Red Rock Canyon Park by bicycle, but also some great trails wind through Old Colorado City to downtown Colorado Springs and to Manitou Springs. The Library loft inspires fun!

We brought 4 teens for a sweet sixteen birthday weekend of hiking and shopping. The library loft is so unique in its layout with the loft ladders, fireplace, full kitchen and even a record player. The kids spent the first 2 hours just discovering everything in the loft. No T.V. needed! Shopping and dining only a few steps away. Great down town veiw of Old Colorado City. We were able to hike in the mountains and end the day in town. Truly a unique experience, we will be back!

Great time in Colorado City

We really enjoyed our stay at the Library Loft. I’ll list the things we absolutely loved and then the few things that knocked off one star. The good -first impression as you walk in is awesome. The place was clean and very charming. The lofts were fun for the kids (we have 3 teenagers). The games and books are also a nice touch. Some reviews complained about only one tv, but I actually loved it. We sat in the main room a couple of nights and played board games. No distractions of a tv and great family time that is so rare these days! The location and proximity to all Colorado Springs has to offer was also a huge plus. Less than a 10 minutes drive to places like Gardens of the Gods, Cave of the winds, etc. We loved being able to walk to the local shops for souvenirs, great coffee, local wine and excellent food. The place was stocked w soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, shampoo/conditioner, some kitchen basics (seasonings, oil, etc). Overall a nice choice. The owner was also super responsive to our questions. Now, the not so good (I won’t call it bad, just things any one staying here would want to be aware of). The lofts - perfect for teenagers or tweens... definitely not for small children or adults. You can only stand up in the area w the sky light. A few heads were bumped, lol. I climbed up there once and was ready to come down immediately. The finish work in the place leaves a lot to be desired. I feel like just a little investment in the place could really improve overall impressions. Many things are in need of some repair (not big things, just stuff that makes it 4 and not 5 stars). Examples - The locks on the bathroom doors are falling off and stripped out. The kitchen ware and cookware are just alright and kind of bare bones. The coffee pot is a one person pot, so we had to brew two pots. The front door handle actually feel off (my husband fixed it, lol). The dryer takes forever to dry. You can just tell everything is very DYI by a not so handyman. The last thing that I think is important to note is the area. It’s alive and so charming during the day. The Saturday farmers market is awesome. At night and early in the mornings, I didn’t love it. If you like to take an early morning or evening stroll, the area doesn’t seem the safest. The homeless population is high in the area and made me uncomfortable to walk by myself or send the teens out alone at night. During the day no problem. Overall I would recommend, just a few things to be aware of.

Thank you to the owner for the "locals of the beaten path recommendations." Garden of the Gods cafe was delicious and the Red Rock and God's hikes were stunning aswasthe drive thru Cheyenne park
