Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!
Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!
Here at Yellow Rose, your safety is our priority. If a cabin requires 4 wheel, front wheel, or all wheel drive to access it, it will be listed in the description. If bringing or riding motorcycles, please call and ask for motorcycle friendly properties. If you have any concerns about accessing your rental, please call prior to your arrival and we will be happy to discuss it with you.

We had a great time, plenty of space, games for the kids to play. We loved the grill and the fire pit. It is a lovely home that is located just outside of town in a nice quiet area.
Lovely cabin. Grandkids thought it was great. Watch for deer, dogs and ponies in the road. My granddaughter wanted to pet the highland cows in the pastures. Do take pictures of directions sent for check in, as the service going up is spotty.

Hi there! Thank you for the wonderful review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon!
This was a perfect cabin for a weekend trip. The place was clean, quiet and comfortable! Definitely will be a repeat book for next trip towards Bryson City/ Cherokee.
This was a beautiful cabin with comfy beds. They supplied everything you needed in the kitchen as far as basic spices, crock pot and great cookware. I would definitely come back! It’s not far from Nantahala and we had dinner at River’s End which was wonderful too!

The cabin was beautiful and was well stocked with everything needed. The firepit was nice and we enjoyed just relaxing there at night. Good cellphone reception most of the time. I would definitely rent again.

Thank you for the wonderful review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you again soon.
The cabin was absolutely beautiful in a nice quiet setting off the beaten path of a short drive on a gravel road with no steep climbs! Check in process was simple and just overall a nice peaceful trip!
We had a great time staying here! There were 4 adults and 2 kids under 2 and it was the perfect size! The only time we went out was for the Polar Express at the Great Smoky Mountain Railway which only took us about 20 minutes to get to! We really enjoyed the games and movies the property had (they also had puzzles!). It was a very relaxing place and we hope we can visit again soon!!

The cabin was nice and had everything you need for a visit to the mountains. It is located on a dirt road up the mountain. Maybe 10 minutes after you turn off Hwy 74. It is private and quiet. Pastoral views on the way to the cabin. We had a nice family trip.

The cabin was perfect! There wasnt a steep hill that you had to go up to reach it. The cabin was clean. The beds were comfortable. The drive up to it was very nice as there was a farm. We enjoyed our stay!

Reviewer Comments:
The cabin itself on the interiors was quite nice. Outside unfortunately we had issues with a number of Copperhead snakes and unkept ponies taking over the fire pit area and back deck significantly limiting our ability to use the outdoor space. We reached out to management but the whole team was off for the weekend and really did not offer any follow up, except that they would look into it.

It was relaxing. Meet some very nice people. The grass did need to be cut. Let people know you do have to travel a gravel road for a bit before getting to the cabin but the directions were good.

Overall the stay was great but every rental place needs to advertise what kind of coffee maker they have particularly when they’re in a remote location so that you can come prepared with the right type of coffee to fit the machine. Also written directions taped to the TV about Wi-Fi and TV instructions would be helpful.

Mouse heaven
There are mice and droppings in every room Very unsanitary at night they came out and partied in the living room under the kitchen sink and bedroom closet. Very disappointed and an unhealthy atmosphere. Will not stay again and will be cautious using Vrbo again.

Hi there. We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay. Our cabins are on a monthly pest control program. Unfortunately, being located in the mountains and wooded areas, pests find their way in. We do our due diligence by hiring professionals to treat our properties regularly, and we have them treated more often when guests report issues. This property has since been treated for the mice issues you reported.
IT was PERFECT, absolutely fantastic and there is no more to tell, as it was exact, no it was better than expected. We were looking for a calm and comfortable lodging, we din´t wanna be around people, only beeing for us. It is just a little drive to the Grey Smokey Mountains and the Nathahala Forest is just a round the corner. So you can hike as much you like. A supermarktet store and and a petrol station is also nearby. The cabin is stunning, absolutely. Much more beatuiful than the pictures show.

Reviewer Comments:
The cabin was down the road from a friend’s home, which made it very easy for visits. The interior of the cabin was very clean. The only problem was outside, used charcoal was left in the grill. It was easy to clean out and replace with fresh coals, so not too much of a problem. We didn’t encounter any large wildlife. But, we encountered bumblebees especially at the front of the cabin, but we also encountered them other places in the area. Entering the driveway the first time was a little difficult, but after a few times it got easier. There was adequate parking and it was easy to load and unload the truck. You might want to add that there is a Blu-ray player to the information about the cabin. The kitchen has adequate utensils and cooking equipment. The santoku knives need to be sharpened! The information left on the refrigerator about WIFI did not work. The only connection we could get was Starlink. The cabin was close to local attractions, like the train tour, Nantahala River, and shopping in Bryson City.

Falls Short Of Potential
Curious if perhaps the cabin was not prepped for fall visitors as there were concerning conditions. LOTS of cobwebs in primary bedroom around light and fire alarm. Dangling dead spider in kitchen area and heavy cobwebs in high living room windows. Some webs upstairs bedroom. The biggest concern was the mouse droppings in the bottom drawer below oven and the primary closet. We washed all dishes by hand and stored in dishwasher or drainer. Drying off after showering, a sour musty smell was released from the towels. Knowing mice had been present, we suspected the worse. So, we washed all towels/cloths as well. Some overhead lighting dim and several lightbulbs out. We rotated bulbs where we needed light in lamps. We contacted property manager regarding non lighting fireplace and it was repaired over two days but the grate was left out in between the days and a person tripped over it coming into the house. We did alert of webs and droppings. Know how to use a French Press unless you have K-cups for a Keurig. The Keurig had retained water in the tank so we would not have used it regardless, considering the state of the cabin. No pantry space for food as all small closets near kitchen are locked. So, that makes for clutter. Bring spare trash bags. The cabin has a nice layout, very nice fire pit and safety features for small children. Beautiful drive from Franklin to the cabin which is in a farm neighborhood as listed. Great potential spot, but fell short on our trip.
