Hat tip to managment company for allowing us to check in a few hours early while we tried to escape Hurricane Michael. Much appreciated!
Getting up the mountain was a bit of a challenge but once there the view is absolutely stunning. Really enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor fire pit. Although provided note in kitchen advertised first morning coffee on them, none was provided. If you want ANYTHING consumable for the kitchen, except salt and pepper, bring your own: ketchup, mustard, tea, coffee, mayo, peanut butter, etc. Also bring, toilet tissue, hand soap, and dish washing soap. Soap provided was small bottle of heavily watered down dish soap. Several little notes and signs throughout threatening fines for uses/misuses was off-putting: smoking $350, fireplace $100, thermostat $???, frankly I stopped reading them. Guess the owners had some negative past experiences.
This is the mountains and not Disney World so wildlife is for real. Be prepared to deal with roaming bears and aggressive yellow jacket bees. (Got stung by one.)
We stayed prior to fall leaf changes but that would be spactacular, I am sure, and would be an ideal time to visit. All-in-all a pleasant stay in a well maintained facility.
