A charming little cabin with a fantastic view. My husband and I were quite delighted with the rest and relaxation that it provided, and the drive up from the road is most fun adventurous, even if it did cause my ears to pop lol.We would love to plan a return visit.

Great scenery! Good location

We had a great stay. The bed is really hard, the couch is not very comfortable. We came here for the view and what a great view we got! The Stargazer fits this cabin.

Nice place to relax

Stargazer get a way

The cabin was clean and everything we hoped for. The view was awesome. The area is fantastic. Our mid size car made it up the mountain with no problem. Our little Yorkie was right at home there with us.

Stunning views!

Had an amazing time at the Stargazer cabin. Rough & steep road heading up, but well worth it for the view! We always travel with our pets & I really appreciated the enclosed deck with the built in gate so our dogs could enjoy being outside with us! Also the cabin had dog bowls & a very comfy dog bed!

3 nite getaway @ Stargazer

We had a great 3 night stay in the cabin. Saw some awesome sunrises and great Mountain View’s. The gravel road is more suited for an suv or light truck and not mama’s Lexus. Stay here and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Relaxing get-a-way, beautiful mountain view

We thoroughly enjoyed our much needed get-a-way visit at the Stargazer cabin. We found everything was as pictured and described. Very clean, well maintained. Comfortable bed & bathroom, kitchen with all necessities, fun game room, lovely fireplace, great hot tub! Thank you for including some firewood! The view.....beautiful day and night! Would recommend staying here to anyone wanting to enjoy the mountains. This cabin is pet friendly, our golden retriever was very glad to come with us! Having a little of the wintery weather, we did not visit the area attractions, just stayed warm and cozy at the cabin.

Amazing View

Our stay at Stargazer was very relaxing, just what my husband and I needed. The view was nothing short of AMAZING!!!! Definitely GOD's beauty!!!! However, the cabin could use a little TLC. Inside needs a good deep cleaning, (cobwebs, dust in corners, and furniture either needs replacing or shampooing). The bed was a lot firmer than most people like (HARD). There were several places outside around the cabin that needs some attention. The deck has some boards that need attention. A lot of this stuff is just your normal TLC that has to been done with a house.

Overall 3.5 out of 5 stars. Amazing views but the cabin itself was average. My biggest issue was the listing describes "luxuriously appointed with lots of extras" but it is not luxury - just your typical. Yes, it's a rough ride up the road but welcome to the mountains... put your vehicle in first gear and drive slow. Inside the cabin, a few upgrades here and there like a smart TV and garbage disposal could go a long way in my opinion. I appreciate the pet-friendly aspect and the quiet tranquility. All in all, I only picked this place for the view and it was exactly what I needed.

We are sorry tkat you didn't believe the cabin had extras, we thought the hot tub, fire-table, foosball and nice big King bed were upgrades to many of the other "average" cabins that are for rent. We will definitely check to see if the TV is lacking, honestly, we though it was a smart TV, if not, it will be replaced immediately. As for the garbage disposal, we cannot put one in since the cabin is on a well and the minerals would damage the disposal. We are happy to hear you got the peace, quiet and incredible view that the Stargazer does offer.

Amazing views!! Disappointing Accommodations!

The location and the view were amazing! Truly breathtaking! With that said, the cabin was run down and dirty. The gate was broken. The rocker on the deck broke when we sat in it. The kitchen was ill equipped for cooking. There wasn't even a spatula to flip eggs. The cabin was very dirty. Surfaces were clean, but corners and windows were thick with dust. Cobwebs were on the windows, hanging light fixtures and walls. The bed was incredibly hard. It was hard to sleep and there were bugs in the bed. Lots of bites!! We left after only two days and didn't finish out stay.

Cindy, OMGOSH, it sounds like you slept in a haunted house!! We are so sorry to hear that you had such an awful time at this lovely cabin. We will definitely check on all broken and missing items, although this is the first we have heard that the kitchen was ill equipped. We do know that it's a small intimate cabin and sometimes things are put away in odd places, like the silverware being stored in the big black cabinet next to the kitchen table. The cabin was cleaned prior to your arrival but there may be some cobwebs way up high in the corners, unfortunately the cleaners cannot reach them on a regular clean but we can see if it's time for a deep clean. There are no bugs in the beds, there is a bedbug protector on the mattress, but you may have gotten into some chiggers, they are very abundant in the North GA Mountains. As for the firmness of the mattress, this is very subjective and many of our guests ask for a firm mattress...but I do agree with you, it iis definitely on the harder side ( I have slept on that bed many times ). Agree, so sorry that you had a disappointing stay and hopefully you will give us another try in the future. Blessings ~ Mary

Incredible Views and a Jewel in the Rough.

We've stated many times in the N GA mountains in several cabins. Your views are the best! We thought however you'd like some feedback as there were several things not working (some small ) but when we'd go to use them they wouldn't work or had issues. The ceiling fan in the living room makes a clanking sound no matter the speed so we had to turn it off, the butane lighter for candles you have is out of gas, the light over the micro wave doesn't work, the cutting board looks so dirty i was concerned cutting food on it (both sides). The hottub cover needs to be sprayed for ants and only 1/2 the water jets work in the hot tub, the fire pit area on side of house has foot high weeds all around it, and the downstairs laundry area has a wet pet strong odor. Again a jewel in the rough with incredible views.

Wayne, I want to let you know that the cutting board has been replaced, the fan fixed, new bulb in the microwave and weeds have been removed from the fire-pit area.The cabin is under regular pest control service and we will have them look at the hot tub area when they come back up to spray. Not sure how the candles got in the cabin but those have been removed as well since they are a fire hazard and the lighter will be replaced when the fire-place is available for guests again in the Fall. With a 2 Star rating, it's obvious you didn't enjoy your stay and we apologize for that. Hopefully this doesn't deter other guests from coming up and staying at this wonderful cabin with one of the most amazing views in North Georgia.

This is a very strange review?? We spoke with the guest upon arrival and told him the smell was the chemicals since the hot tub had just been dumped and refilled. It most definitely did work and was working fine when the cleaner arrived to clean up after his departure. This is a lovely cabin with an incredible view and a 2 star rating is definitely not what is deserves. Our company was responsive and explained exactly what the odor was when the guest called.

Beautiful Views

Great place to relax and unwind. Very nice property with great communication from the host. Luckily I drive a 4X4 because one is needed to get to the property. It’s a fun drive in the right vehicle. Also, bring your own firewood, wood provided does not burn. It’s weird but true. I highly recommend the property if you are looking for peace and quiet!

Stargazer Cabin

Great view from the deck - had a mouse run across the floor from the dishwasher to the stove - road was very bad...had to rent a 4x4 to get to cabin - did not mention it was that steep. Description of the road was not accurate. Shower was too dark to see good.

So sorry you had such a bad experience at the cabin. We get such wonderful reviews on this cabin. We do have a detailed description about the road condition and needing a 4WD and no low lying vehicles. The last thing we want is a guest being surprised and getting stuck so we don't hide the fact that it's located on the second highest privately owned peak in GA. Way off the beaten path and up a dirt/gravel road....that's why the stars are so bright up there :) We do apologize for that little bugger of a mouse, he has been quite the challenge to catch and being pet friendly, we won't put out any poison just a mouse trap and a noise emitter. Unfortunately the North GA Mountains has an abundance of wild life, although we do try and keep it outside the cabin.

Beautiful view

There is a beautiful view from the deck with a hot tub. The bed was very comfortable and we cooked every night. The ride up the mountain is very steep and very bumpy. I think that you need to drive a 4 wheel drive suv for the climb. It would b very hard to go back down the mountain to eat dinner out as I would not want to make the climb back at night

Beautiful vistas

Had an amazing weekend getaway. The drive up to the cabin is a lil steep and bumpy but well worth it! Enjoyed the hot tub and stargazing every night. I didn’t dock stars but it is good to be aware there are an occasional daddy long leg in the bathroom and a mouse that found our dog food. The cabin is smack dab in the middle of the woods so it is expected a few get thru! If you’re not a fan of critters tho I’d find something more urban! Overall a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it!!!

Nicole, so glad you enjoyed your stay at the Stargazer, it sounds like you had an amazing time. You are absolutely correct, it's in the middle of the woods and it's you and nature so occasionally a small visitor gets inside. Happy to hear it didn't disrupt your stay and I promise the cabin is under regular pest control service. Definitely come back and stay with me again in the future.

Great Cabin

We had a great stay at the Stargazer for my wife's birthday. We were able to bring our puppy and she seemed to have a blast as well. The deck is enclosed with a gate making it easy to hang out outside with her off leash. The property manager was extremely helpful and suggested a nice hike with waterfalls for us to visit and was always prompt in responding. After the falls we made a quick visit to a dog friendly brewery in downtown blue ridge, which was nice as we didn't want to leave her at alone. This would be a five star review, but the batteries in the TV remote did not work and there were a lot of dead ladybugs near the lamp on the bedroom dresser. Don't let this detract you from considering the stargazer as everything else was in great condition and clean. Some of the reviews mentioned the gravel steep path up to the house, but it was no problem for our little Hyundai Accent (even in the rain). We will definitely consider visiting again.

Jeremy, Thank you for your great review of Stargazer. Sounds like you really enjoyed the cabin and the area. Glad we could accommodate your pup and it worked out perfectly with the gated deck. We will definitely have the cleaner check that remote and make sure extra batteries are in the kitchen where we usually keep them. Definitely come back and see us again and hopefully next time you visit it won't be ladybug season and we can earn that last star!
