Perfect retreat from the crowded neighboring towns

  • 5 of 5

First of all, Marijo and Dean are wonderfully nice! We stayed here in lieu of staying On Mt. Desert Isle to explore Acadia National park. It was perfect! We had everything we needed for our small family of 3. The cabin is beautiful, exceptionally clean, quiet, with trails and land to explore also. We Went to Ellsworth for supplies (food store etc.) we cooked breakfast daily and dinner most nights. Beds were comfortable! My son liked that there was a small television with sattelite. The property is a tree farm and blueberry farm and borders a state park, we saw porcupine and turkeys on the property, deer and a moose in the near by stream from a distance. We had a lovely stay. Honestly after hiking in the crowded parks we just loved coming back here to unwind in the late afternoon and evening, cook and look at the stars. The cabin provided a retreat from the crowds and is centrally located between the Schoodic Peninsula and Mt. Desert Aisle areas of Acadia. We will be back for sure.

Oh and it was Solar! Green living at its finest. What a lovely week. There was also a canoe and a grill which we didn’t use.

Outstanding little cabin!

This place was exactly what we needed! The hosts were gracious, the cabin was immaculate and so very quiet. Close enough to Acadia National Park and the surrounding areas. We would highly recommend!

The great reviews were right!

Amazing stay in a cute, clean, cozy cabin. Having a Keurig there was an extra plus! Lots to do in the surrounding area, but you could also just spend a few days exploring the property (which was one of our favorite parts). They have a huge property on a tree farm where we hiked around and saw lots of wildlife. Marijo was super friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place. Great price too. :)

Perfect Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

I was looking for a nice, but safe place for my daughter and I to stay that wasn’t too far from Acadia National Park. After reading the reviews, decided to give this cabin a try. We loved it! The property itself is like staying at a park. There are so many trails to explore and we were amazed as we drove some of these well maintained paths that we had gone 3 miles inside the property. We took some wonderful walks. The views are gorgeous. We missed the mama moose and her baby, but saw the hoof prints. We did see porcupines, turkeys, and the cutest little ducklings off to swim in the stream by the cabin. As for the cabin, it was very clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. The main bed was comfortable and my daughter slept well on the twin pull out. The drive to Acadia was an easy and scenic 40 minutes. We went to Ellsworth for supplies and for easy access to full cell phone service. Marijo and Dean are super friendly and accessible. We loved coming back to the cabin and finding some delicious blueberries and a helpful book on Acadia waiting for us. I would definitely stay here again. You feel like you are off the grid for a bit!
