A great place to stay

I stay at the Sonder apartments when I am in New York, I find them to be a great quiet location with easy access to Brooklyn and the financial district. Rooms have kitchens as well and lots of supermarkets/general starred in the area. Will be back again

A good-sized aparthotel in a great, safe location for downtown Manhattan/Brooklyn tourist attractions and a short walk to Fulton Street subway station. Beds were comfortable, with not too much street noise at night. But some fixtures e.g some lights didn't work and it wasn't as luxurious as the photos suggested. It was also quite a dark room but overall it was a good clean, comfortable hotel room which met out holiday needs.

We loved our stay

The room was perfect, clean & spacious. The location was great too, so many food spots & the subway entrances were very close. The sonder app made everything extremely easy, we never even used the front desk.

Unfortuanatly I can't leave a good rating for this Hotel because I had a huge cockroach in my bathroom and had to move the apartment. Apparently that wasn't quite unusual. One staff member was very helpful and nice but the others almost made fun of me being afraid of the cockroach. I can't recommend this apartment.

Not the place issue, but there was construction next door so it was noisy during the day. But if you are there to be a tourist, it doesn’t affect you too much as you are not there during the day. Family of 4 (2 teenagers), so good to have the separate rooms for everyone to have personal space. Easy to navigate to public transport..

The apartment was huge and well equiped. A washing machine and dryer would have been the icing on the cake. Would recommend for longer stays. Close to the subway which was clean, safe and cheap. Walking distance to the Brooklyn Bridge and the Staten Island ferry etc

Great location and large apartment

We had 4 in a unit on the 14th floor - great size space and was a blessing to have 2 baths. There is construction next door right now, so the mornings can be a little noisy, but it never bothered us too much as we were out the door exploring the city pretty early every day. Roof deck is awesome - We'd go up and have coffee most mornings. Central to so much there, and plenty of subway stops within a few blocks, so pretty easy to get anywhere.

Hospitality can be difficult when there is little opportunity for face to face contact. With that is mind some better comms about what’s available nearby (diners, entertainment, pharmacy, food delivery options) could help. Room comfort would be better if an armchair or sofa could be provided.

Hotels.com have been wonderful. Sonder have been absolutely terrible. Rude woman on reception when we arrived. Snatched phone off my daughter as we couldn’t get online to checkin. Broken sofa bed. Room changed which was worse as it was unclean, damaged bathroom furniture, faulty plug sockets which sparked. Stained bedding and towels. Industrial sounding AC in bedroom. AC didn’t work in lounge. Uncomfortable sofa bed. Complained but never saw a manager, just unhappy looking staff in a cubby hole for a reception. Booked a superior room. The only thing superior was the price. No mirror, toilet roll holder broken, hooks on wall broken, horrible odour, the only good thing was one member of staff - Susan who tried her best, alone on our first night. Have spent my entire trip trying to sort out this mess. Avoid Sonder
