  • Fantastic location and home

"This is the perfect home to enjoy beautiful New Suffolk beach! The deck is amazing for morning coffee and enjoying the boats the that go by in the evenings for a great sunset and BBQ! The beach is fantastic, especially with young children, my 8 year old swam all day long looking for shells, diving for "puffer fish" and playing on the beach with new friends she met during the day at the beach. Case's and Legends right around the corner and you are set with some dining options as well as wineries, Braun's and Love Lane all near by. The house has everything you need to make your vacation easy and memorable. Our family can't wait to go back next year!"

  • Terrific

"Our family, including a toddler and an infant, had a wonderful week at Rose Cottage. The owner goes out of his way to make sure your stay at Rose Cottage is a true vacation. Shelter Island was a great place to explore, and such easy access to the North and South Forks of Long Island for day trips."

  • Bliss

"This cottage exceeds its description! It is easily the most artistic, charming vacation cottage I have ever rented. I never went to the nearby "public" beach, just donned my water shoes, climbed down the swim ladder, and was in heavenly salt water multiple times per day. New Suffolk is the chillest town, and the area is bursting with farm fresh produce and beautiful wine, fresh seafood, and glorious sights. The large deck hangs over the water, and immediately puts one at ease. Gathering here with friends, around the big outdoor table, watching the Wednesday boat race, has built unforgettable memories. The owner is very very responsive, and just wants us to all enjoy this work of art that she has created. There is one neighbor, but the rest of the view is open sky and salt water. I envy you if you rent this place, it is quirky, but in the most wonderful way. I will say, that it felt very spacious because of the large outdoor space. Books abound, and wild bunnies, Osprey, and all kinds of water birds can be spotted in this unspoiled location. The local restaurant, (one block away!) is wonderful for vegetarians and omnivores alike. For a special evening, do not miss North Fork Table and Inn."

  • Great time right on the water

"We are a family of four with two small children and had a wonderful time in this place. Ann came out to welcome us and showed us everything so we could get as much as possible out of our time. The place was clean and everything you might need for a week was right there. We enjoyed being right on the water and just a short stroll away from a beautiful beach. We enjoyed our daytrips as much as the days we just stayed on the property and kayaked and enjoyed the place. Overall we had a great time, thank you for having us!"
