Situated in an alcove near the tip of the Northridge peninsula of Playa Flamingo where the Flamingo Bay is your front yard and the WHITE SANDY BEACH of Flamingo is your play ground, we welcome you to our hide-a-way in paradise. Our home which is named CASA DE SERENIDAD is aptly named for the tranquility and serenity one feels when here. Experience your own private beach just below your villa and enjoy a siesta while resting in a comfortable hammock at the surf's edge. Snorkeling during high tide is an favored option while you are already there. We also have available a 2 person sit on top ocean kayak which you may use for FREE!

To enhance your vacation with us, besides the fully equipped gymnasium, we have a small infinity pool with lounging chairs next to the rancho/BBQ. Above your villa apartment, there is a decadent small wading pool with 2 hammocks positioned over the pool where you can be partially submerged and can relax, enjoy the scenery or watch television.

To get to your villa apartment, you can choose either to use the stairs or a suspended bridge that links the BBQ palapa area to the topside wading pool of the 3.5 story building which houses your villa apartment and the gym. There are motion lights which automatically turn on when detecting any movement. Therefore, you will be able to see your way to your apartment at night time. Parking is street side and when you enter the secure, private property, the pathways lead you to your amazing views of the ocean, the hillside, beaches, and the lush greenery of fruit trees, flora and fauna surrounding the property. Because this setting is unique with open railings, multiple stairs, and no fencing around the pools, the property does not lend itself to small children under 12 years of age. Also, should you have more than 4 people, we do have an overflow ocean view apartment for 2 to consider as well.

  • As a solo traveler, I can highly recommend CASA DE SERENIDAD. I stayed for two weeks and it was one of the best times I've had in Costa Rica. Don and Babe are amazing hosts with huge hearts. Their staff is second to none! The villa was just perfect. Rather you come alone or with others, CASA DE SERENIDAD is a perfect place to relax and unwind. You have everything you need - gym, sauna, pool... AND with the most beautiful view in Play Flamingo you may never want to leave! Thank you Babe and Don for a terrific two weeks in Costa Rica.   • We had the pleasure to vacation at Casa De Serenidad this past September 3-10 2009. It a wonderful experience that we treasure. We stayed in the Villa Vista del Pacifico, which is one of the many villas. It was beautiful and so spacious. The island theme lets you know you are in Costa Rica. The view of Flamingo Beach is breathtaking. At night you go to sleep with the sound of the ocean just outside. Don and Babe are very gracious hosts and their staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful with everything. My husband's dream while there was to catch a marlin. Babe helped us to locate a charter boat and he did catch his 350 lb. marlin!! I highly recommend you visit Casa De Serenidad for a vacation to remember!!! Perry & Mary Jo Coaker

  • It's been about two months since my wife and I spent a week at the Casa, and I asked myself this morning- did that really happen? Feels like a dream sometimes! We stayed with Babe and Don over the summer and were constantly surprised by the outstanding hospitality and amenties. The hammock/pool was fantastic - I actually read an entire book that week (almost never happens!). The beaches on Playa Flamingo were beautiful - nice trees for shade, quiet, great waves to play in. Definitely recommend renting a car to get around. The Casa is up on the hill and you don't want to be walking that every day. Playa Flamingo has a couple of nice restaurants, and Babe directed us to a fresh fish stand near Brasilito so we grilled out a few times during the week. The car is also great for checking out some other beaches along the cost. We also drove back towards Liberia for a day to go to Rincon for a full day of zip lines through the jungle, hiking, and tubing along the river. (This was a great adventure - highly recommended.) And what made the whole week memorable was having such a comfortable place to call home every night and morning. The pictures in the description here don't do the place justice. I spent hours and hours searching for the "right" place - this was it. Most importantly, Babe and Don are good people.

  • Where should i start? I was only planning on staying 3 weeks and it ended up a month! The location was perfect! I had easy access to the beach, snorkeling, great restaurants, deep sea fishing, canopy and zip line tours, golf courses, hikes, and some of the best surfing in costa rica. I stayed in the "Villa Vista Del Pacifico" apartment and it was INCREDIBLE! The owners, Don and Babe were wonderful in every possible way. I felt like I had another set of parents since i went to costa rica on solo. And on anything you want to do, Babe is very informative. So that's helpful when you're new to an area. But waking up to the ocean waves, the spectacular views, crabs, lizards, monkeys, you feel like you're on a real vacation! Just being there a month, I can't even explain all of the little things that make this apartment one of the best places to stay in the Guanacastle area! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

  • Casa de Serindad is a special place. It is the most enjoyable and beautiful place we have stayed through our travels. The lovely flat is equipped with everything you need. There is a gorgeous view overlooking Flamingo Bay. The sounds of the ocean and star shows at night provide you with a wonderful experience. Our stay was completed by the hospitality of Don and Babe the delightful couple who own Casa de Seinadad We felt a vacation of a lifetime.

  • WOW!!! This place was far more impressive than the pictures could show. World class views, the sound of the ocean and tropical breezes just takes you to your happy place. Babe and Don couldn't have been more hospitable and helpful. Everything is first class all the way. I will be back again and I highly recommend this as the best value Costa Rica has to offer.
