  If you are looking for a cheery cottage-like accommodation to unwind in and holiday from, look no further. We spent 10 relaxing days exploring all of Oahu from The Hula Breeze and were so pleased to always return at the end of the day to our cozy, private room in wonderful Kailua. The Pineapple suite was charming, comfortable and clean with lots of windows and direct access to either the front yard or back yard where a pool and our private garden sitting area was. Every night we slept soundly with all windows open so we could enjoy the fresh air, the chirping crickets in the late evening and the songs of the tropical birds that visited the lush gardens in the morning..we never felt unsafe; a very different experience from a previous stay in Honolulu! As we had rented a vehicle for our island travels, we did appreciate the "suite driveway"/ parking offered at this ground level walk-in accommodation; it was truly a bonus to not have to lug (hey we are on holiday!) all of our daily gear/groceries too far. There is a shared washer and dryer onsite and depending on your length of stay, fresh linens are available. There is no daily room or food service and we new that coming in..which suited us fine. The Hula Breeze has their suites all professionally cleaned between guests by a local company with very friendly staff, so if you need anything, speak up and they and the owners will be happy to help you. This windward location of Oahu is exceptionally beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed the friendly neighborhood and the under 10 minute stroll to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We walked and walked, the 3mile crescent shaped Kailua beach stretch every day; the fine clean golden sand ,and blue green-ocean colors are absolutely beyond belief! So were the lack of any crowds...this is no Waikiki ! There are a variety of walks/hikes in the area too, which offer some amazing scenery of the surrounding area. The town center of Kailua, just moments away, is well equipped and offers plenty of choices for shopping and dining. Our Hula Breeze hosts,Allison and Sven (and their friendly dogs) were so very warm and welcoming during our stay in their lovely Hawaiian home and community. We would absolutely stay at the Hula Breeze again and highly recommend booking early with these folks ... their accommodation, and Aloha hospitality that they offer is rated #1 by many travelers for good reason!   We decided to stay here because it was "out of the city" and away from the hussle and bustle of Honolulu. We spent 4 nights here and loved every minute of it. If you want peace and quiet this is the place to stay. Allison and Sven are lovely, the neighbourhood welcoming and the beach is just a short walk away. If Hawaii wasn't so far away we'd be here every year. If you love to have air conditioning all the time, this is not the place for as there is no AC.

  I spent a wonderful week in the Pineapple Suite at the Hula Breeze. Allison and Sven are the perfect hosts, so warm and friendly. The property is beautiful and private, so peaceful. The property is located just a short walk to the beach, the Kalapawai Market and to town. The beach is amazing for long walks, so beautiful with not a high rise building in site, just perfect. Allison had great recommendations for places to hike, dine and to visit . . would not have found them in a travel book. Thank you Allison I have been to Hawaii a number of times but have never returned so relaxed, thanks to Allison, Sven and the Hula Breeze.

  Thank you Allison and Sven for 4 relaxing nights at Hula Breeze. Loved the village of Kailua, the beaches, shops and restaurants. Had a great time snorkeling --- saw lots of fish, sea turtles and beautiful reef. It was the perfect beginning to our Hawaiian adventure. Hope to come back to stay again.

  We really enjoyed our stay in Hawaii. If you want to get away from the night life of Honolulu, the Hula Breeze is the place. Allison and Sven are very helpfull if you need to and they give you all the privacy you need. If you don't mind having dogs around, it's the place. Ringo was part of our stay there. Thanks again.

  Great place to stay. The accomodation is spacious, clean, bright and comfortable. Everything thoughtfully supplied for a carefree holiday. Helpful friendly hosts and nice neighborhood. Close to beach and shopping centre, we loved the healthy foods in Down To Earth health shop. We would love to stay there again when next visiting Kailua.

  Our stay at the pineapple suite was beyond our expectations. Sven and Allison are very gracious hosts and love helping you plan things for the day, give directions to locations and tips on where to eat and things to see. The suite was the perfect size and was very comfortable. The beach was within walking distance and was beautiful and coming home after that to have a cocktail by the pool and listen to the birds and watch the lizards was a perfect day. There are lots of restaurants and little shops in the area within walking distance and hiking trails and waterfalls very close as well, but by car. The house is on a dead end road in a quiet residential area so it is very peaceful and relaxing. I would recommend this place to anyone and we are already planning a return trip!

  We love our stay at the Hula Breeze! Such a peaceful, quiet neighborhood; we can't imagine staying in one of those massive and busy hotels. It was like coming home every night by driving through the neighborhood, pulling in the driveway and walking right into our suite. Forget parking garages, elevators, walking through the lobby to find your tower and an endless walk down a hallway, this is much better. Having the kitchenette and laundry availability was a lifesaver!!! Allison and Sven were exceptional hosts!!

  Thank you Allison and Sven--You made us feel very comfortable. We loved being in a quiet neighborhood and being able to walk to the beach (one of the most incedible beaches in the world), and to town for dinner and shopping. Driving to Honolulu was easily accomplished over the Pali. We also loved driving to the North Shore on the quieter roads on the east side of Oha'u. You were very helpful in answering all of our questions and I will highly recommend your B&B to my friends and family. We hope we are able to stay again in the future.
