This place was AMAZING!!!! We stayed the week before Christmas and EVERYTHING was perfectly decorated inside and outside for the holiday~This made us feel right at home. We as a family travel from Florida to Hiawassee every year for a week family getaway and this cabin is without a doubt our FAVORITE! Suzanne the owner was very nice and answered all of our questions upon arrival and any we had during our stay. We cant wait to visit again.

What a reaction we had when we drove up and saw it perched on the mountain, overlooking the valley and mountains beyond. Truly, pictures do not tell the story. The furnishings were beautiful and such care is given to every detail it was a delight. We marveled at the hot tub's location on the beautifully landscaped area, overlooking the valley and mountains. It was beyond what we expected and the owner was a pleasure to communicate with. We hope to stay here again!

We were very lucky to arrive just after a heavy snowfall...WOW...what a beautiful view of all the snow covered mountains!! The photos online do not due the cabin justice....every room was beautifully decorated with Christmas items, it felt like OUR cabin not a rental. The cabin is located close to all the major activities in the mountains, we went snow tubing and skiing twice during our stay, both were an easy drive from the cabin. Shopping and restaurants are less than 15 minutes away, yet you feel like you are miles from civilization. We will definitely be back, next time we will try the summer. Thanks to the Krause family for their help and keeping us well informed.

The photos didn't prepare us for the scope, size and generosity of this home. Our jaws dropped...literally...upon setting eyes on the architecture, the views and the decorating. Everything that was described to us in the advertisement as well as during conversations with the owners was there - and more. The attention to cleanliness, the knick-knacks, the furnishings, the art work, the practically stocked shelves and drawers, endless details which had been so well thought through...it all shows the handiwork of caring owners who have invested a lot of time into creating a special experience for their clientele. Mornings on the porch with coffee, friends and family; the misty morning mountain views; the rock terraced side yard with fire pit and hot tub; the homey feel....I would recommend this property without hesitation. We fully expect and hope to return someday. As for the views, it doesn't get more gorgeous. Can't even imagine how beautiful it must be in the fall. Three stories of balconies look out over the tops of the trees on the mountain slope the home sits upon, offering vista views of some of the highest mountains in Georgia across the wide valley. The North Georgia area offers many fun things to do as well. A trip to Brasstown Bald mountain, which is the highest peak in Georgia and is also in plain view from the cabin, is well worth the visit/hike. We had very good experiences with Boundary Waters marina (boat rental) in Hiawassee, Southeastern Expeditions (white water rafting) east of Clayton, and Sunburst Stables (horseback riding and ziplining) east of Helen. As for local food, we highly recommend the Bear Meadows Grill on 76 in Hiawassee - modest pricing, excellent food. There was much, much more we could have done but only had 5 days - more waterfall hiking would have been great, as would some time in Helen sightseeing, and it would have been great to visit Tallulah Gorge. I guess we need to save something for next time! We send a heartfelt thanks to the Krause's for creating and sharing this gem of the mountains with us.

We were lucky enough to spend 5 days at this beautiful cabin and enjoyed it so much we didn't want to leave! It was equipped with every amenity you would need and many extras too. The owners were wonderful to work with and very kind and helpful. The cabin and surrounding grounds were BEAUTIFULLY maintained and the wonderful sound of the rock pond was a GREAT plus along with the hot tub. We never wanted to leave the amazing views and peaceful, relaxing surroundings of the location! We will be back as soon as we can!
