Ahhh: the beach house. Shoes are kicked into the back of the closet, bathing suits appear at dinner, hemlines shrink, blood pressures drop and beach umbrellas become sundials. At the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and up a flight of steps you’ll enter this Key West style home in the heart of Anna Maria Island. In a sun-dappled great room with oversized cushy couches a flat screen takes center stage and sliding glass doors extend the living area to a sunny deck with a wide view of the canal.
Perfect for fishing or kayaking from. The gourmet kitchen is prepared for any occasion and any crowd with plenty of counter space connecting to the dining area with seating for 8. Of course you’ll have wireless for surfing the web. A quiet master bedroom is furnished with a king sized bed and an ensuite bathroom.
Another guest room decorated in all the shades of the sea has a queen sized bed and just about the cheeriest kids’ bedroom you have ever seen holds 3 twins. A heated pool completes the picture.

This property is realtor managed and as such did not give the personal attention we were accustomed to from multiple other VRBO experiences all over the country. We had specifically requested a split floor plan with privacy for two families and was told this was the case. Technically it is except that there is no middle. Standing in the foyer you can put one hand on the master door and the other on the 2nd bedroom door. The master bath has no door, the commode is in direct view of the bed. A previously unaddressed problem with the house was not responded to for two days after we reported it and resulted in a major inconvenience. We were charged season rates off season. The pictures are accurate, the house was clean, It was minimally furnished and supplied. Seating 7 in the living area would require filling the couches and bringing furniture in from the sunroom. There are 6 dining chairs and no bar stools. It is a simple house that is fine for a small family not requiring separate areas. The pool being below the living area made it easy to keep small children away from it when not actually using it. There are some shops, places to eat and a beach within walking distance for both kids and older adults. The neighborhood is quiet. It is fine if it meets your needs, but you need to ask a lot of very specific questions.Recommended for: Families with young children.
