A Little Place in WV has everything you need for a quiet getaway stay. Beautifully sited on a secluded 5 acre wooded lot the hilltop location offers a graceful view across gently rolling hills to Cacapon Mountain in the near distance. Fog often divides the peaks and valleys in the early morning. Sun, moon, and stars rise to greet you, warming your morning or silvering your night. This cabin is a great place for a romantic getaway or an intimate weekend with your family. Secluded and completely surrounded by woods the site provides privacy in an open outdoor setting. Small groups of friends will enjoy the chance to hangout and visit in a beautiful setting--quiet, secluded and peaceful. The deck and one balcony look east to Cacapon Mountain with rolling hills between. A second balcony looks straight into the trees. The two bedroom cabin sleeps six comfortably. Recently renovated, the charming mix of colors, furnishings and natural light provide a warm cozy atmosphere. A gas fireplace will take the chill off an autumn evening and add an intimate feel to the living room. There are three TVs and DVD players, satellite TV, and a library of DVDs to keep you entertained. The cabin has free WiFi to keep you connected. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. There is a washer and dryer in the basement. You can enjoy your meals inside or on the deck with views across the valley. The master bedroom suite has a queen size bed and sitting area. There are two balconies with wonderful cross breezes. The cabin has central air but you probably won't need it. The second bedroom has a double bunk bed. There is a futon in the basement den. Plenty of sheets and towels are available.

We had such a peaceful stay. It was in such a beautiful, and scenic location but still close to town. We enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace/TV after a busy day in the surrounding area.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It's very roomy and well furnished. The views from both the living room and master bedroom were spectacular. While we loved how secluded the cabin was, folks unaccustomed to rural areas might get a little nervous as they drive the last few miles to the cabin. The roads are steep and unpaved. It's best if you make your first trip to the cabin while it's still daylight out and you can more easily find your way.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Very nice, but a little "too excluded." It was a little "scary" driving on the dirt/gravel roads to get to the house.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: I am in my early 60s. I love walking out doors and in recent years I have hiked in the Anapurna region in Nepal, been to Machu Pichu in Peru and most recently traveled the Colorado River for 21 days by rubber raft through the Grand Canyon. I own a small business in Baltimore and love visiting A Little Place in WV.
Why the Owner Chose Berkeley Springs:
Several years ago my wife and I accidentally passed through Berkeley Springs. We had lunch at Tari's, looked around and decided to come back. We made several weekend trips staying in cabins in the area. We got lucky and found our cabin one very dreary but enchanting day in November. It was well built and had a wonderful view. But it was a mess. Nothing that a little bit of destruction and then construction couldn't take care of. I love a project. I hope you will enjoy the serenity and beauty of A Little Place in WV.
