Why the Owner Chose Palm Valley Country Club
When our children were little we discovered Palm Desert by trading Marriott points to stay at their nearby resort. Since we were successful at renting our vacation home in Maine, we decided to give it a try closer to home and somewhere we could go for heat since we live near the beach. We explored all of the Palm Springs area, but Palm Desert had the right mix of youth, stability, and value for us. We chose Palm Valley Country Club because we loved the look and feel and the clubhouse was the nicest we'd seen. The kids insisted we have a place with a good pool (or 46+ pools). In addition, we knew we needed to rent our new vacation home in order to afford it and hoped to use it as a winter home when we retire some day. We bought a place that needed work but had the 3 most important things in real estate: location, location, location. Then we practically gutted it and put our sweat equity in. In addition, Palm Valley Country Club was one of the few private clubs with a big pool in addition to the community pools which was a must for our kids. It's also one of the few that allows short term rentals of less than a month. We could easily see that although these condos weren't new, the country club and the homeowners association were committed to keeping Palm Valley current, relevant, and looking sharp.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
My husband loves to get up early and play golf on the Challenge course. He also enjoys bringing friends out to enjoy our vacation condo. My entire family LOVES Joshua Tree National Park and hiking there. One likes to rock climb. The girls always request shopping: the River, downtown Palm Springs, or the nearby factory outlets. The older one liked to watch TV in the den where she slept before heading off to college, since she doesn't have a TV in her room at home. I like going to the pools at night in the summer and having an excuse to nap, since we usually use our place only in the off season! The restaurants are fun to explore, and we really enjoyed the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Our favorite restaurant is currently Matsura - the best Japanese food and sushi in Palm Desert. My husband and younger daughter now have a father/daughter tradition of going out to the desert so they have a long ride to listen to and sing Beatles tunes, go out to the movies, and eat Italian and Japanese food. I feel fortunate that they've been able to create those memories because of this Palm Valley CC home.

This Palm Desert Vacation Rental is our family's favorite getaway for golf, relaxing, and warmth. You will feel like you are guests of ours, but without sharing the place with us! We outfit our vacation homes with nice things and treat you well, and our guests do the same to our places. We look forward to hosting you for your stay in Palm Desert.
We are a family of four that has been going to the desert together since the girls were 5 and 3 (they are in college and high school now). We have traveled with them a lot, and understand that when you arrive at your destination, you want to get right to the fun. We also understand, now more than ever, that you want to keep your load light. So we make sure that all we (and you) need to bring is our food, sports equipment, and clothes.
Our extended family from Massachusetts likes this Palm Desert vacation home so much, that they come to see us, and ask if we can go to the desert. The place is nicer than our primary home, and the weather more reliable. We hope your family will enjoy making your own memories and traditions here.

We owned a place on Sweet Pea for 12 years but sold in '97. This is our first return to Palm Springs and it is as wonderful as I remember. The condo is beautiful and also very comfortable. Had a wonderful time. Hope to return soon.

"Hi there, I would definitely recommend anybody thinking of staying at this condo. The condo itself is very well taken care of. The furnishings as well as finishes are very nice, and dealing with Melinda was very effortless. The place is clean, the grounds of the country club are very well maintained, and the clubhouse is very nice. Tennis courts are very clean and set in a beautiful and well maintained setting."

My family and I had such a great time. I wasn't sure what to expect or how much to pack. But I must say that they think of everything! That significantly reduced the anxiety for someone like me that worries about forgetting things. Also, my family and I love love watching movies and this place was perfect! Surround sound in everyroom and and easy to set up! We played games and had dinner together on that amazing dinner table! Thanks for everything. I wanted to give it a 5 star rating but the website kept glitching.

We have been coming to Pqlm Desert over St. Patricks Day, with seven other couples for 26 years. When we were younger, and still working, we came for long weekends. Now that we have more time (all are retired) we stay for at least a week. In fact, three of the eight couples loved Palm VAlley C.C so much that they bought their own condo. We feel so fortunate to have found your condo. It met our every need -beautifully decorated, great location - so comfortable. We're very thankful it was available for our stay!

"Great Place, Great Trip" We had a great time at this place. the house was totally updated with 4 flat screen tv's, a stocked kitchen, and pretty much everything that is need to have a relaxing trip. The pool was close and we had breakfast every morning on the patio on the golf course. It doesn't quite get the sun in November but across the street at the pool the sun is there. I would definitely rent this place again."

""Enjoyable & Relaxing w/Suggestions" My son and I were very happy w/the accomodations. Master bedroom was very nice and bed/pillow really comfortable. The air condition was perfect and the condo was perfectly stocked. If I could change or better the experience although a beautiful condo the list of ito dos could stated that the water heater needed to be increased in temp. Thist would have avoided an unecessary challenge. We were on a timeline only to find out the water was cold and when turned to hot it actually became colder which caused confusion. This was due to the fact that a few items were opposite (lights, hot & cold direction or indicators) of what would be normal and caused delays in plans. Again, advance notice of relators wanting to show the property would have been acceptable rather than dropping by. Last, if check out is 10:00am I would rather house keeping not come @ 8:00am to see when we were leaving. If this was also on the list of to dos when arriving, I would have confirmed our time on the front end of the stay. This is the first time renting a condo this way and therefore I realize I may not be aware of the procedures. Please know that I am not unhappy and the property is beautiful. Thank you to Tammy for being so helpful in overcoming the payment not posting and all questions and follow-up with everything. Thank you to Chris w/Hotel Bell and there customer service.
