When you first walk through our doors, you will feel as if you are at home. This is not your average rental property.
Our Kiawah Island, SC vacation rental home is located at 700 Glossy Ibis Lane beyond the second gate in Vanderhorst Plantation. The large deck across the back of the house overlooks Cinder Creek. This marsh view is incredible and a haven for white snowy egrets. You will enjoy the changes in the marsh with the high and low tides. Across the street is a fishing and crabbing dock. You can catch flounder and redfish here!
Our luxury 3600 square foot home features two master bedrooms with king-size bedding, televisions, and DVD/VCR. The third spacious bedroom has two queen beds, television and DVD/VCR. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms. There is an upstairs loft with a queen sleeper sofa. We provide fast access DSL and wireless.
The formal living and dining room have 18 foot vaulted ceilings with an awesome view of the marsh. There is an expansive kitchen with breakfast area that opens into the great room with Plasma TV and DVD. There are rear French doors to the deck that leads to the swimming pool. The pool has a heat/cool pump for year round enjoyment. The pool is cleaned twice a week and is completely fenced in with two gates. It is very private.
The kitchen is well-equipped for the gourmet. We have provided an abundance of utensils including a coffee grinder, a blender, a food processor, a mixer, etc., and all that is necessary for the preparation of almost any meal. There is a vast array of pots and pans as well as cooking and serving dishes.
This property has a Superior FIVE-STAR rating by the resort. Our wonderful home is situated on almost a full acre lot with beautiful marsh views.
We provide you with a comprehensive Information Booklet prior to your arrival that includes names, telephone numbers and websites of restaurants and services in order that you might arrange for bicycle delivery prior to your arrival, tee times, fishing trips, kayaking tours, spa visits, restaurant reservations and more before your arrival at Kiawah.
The private beach of Kiawah is approximately 700 yards away. If you choose not to walk or bike to the beach, there are two beach parking lots nearby.
From November through February, we accept short-term rentals with a 4 night minimum.

October 11 - December 31, 2009 $1800 per week
Damage deposit is $500 - One third deposit w/ balance 45 days prior
to date of arrival 1 week minimum in summer, 3 nt. min. non-summer
11 1/2% SC Tax not included in rates listed above

What a wonderful family vacation we had! Your home was perfect for entertaining the entire family and having Thanksgiving dinner. We enjoyed the pool and large master bath. Your home is very spacious and felt like our hme away from home. Many compliments from our family on your nice wood floors and beautiful rugs and perfect buffet space. What a wonderful week! We enjoyed swimming in the pool and riding bikes to the beach. We took your recommendation and stopped off at Rosebank Farms for fresh fruits and vegetables. We also bought some of their fresh fish to grill out and one of the delicious key lime pies. What a treat! A couple of nights we headed in to Charleston for dinner and the rest of the week we dined at some of the restaurants around Kiawah. Each afternoon while we were enjoying the sun and your pool, a buck (a quite large one) walked behind your fence. He was fun to see! We did get to enjoy quite a bit of nature on this trip. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, a glossy ibis, blue herons and snowy egrets (and more). Thank you so much for sharing your house with us. We had such a wonderful relaxing vacation that we did not want it to end!

Time with family for a relaxing week of walking the beach, riding bikes, touring Charleston and enjoying one another is "the best"! The house is so comfortable and welcoming. We loved seeing the deer out back along with the magnificent birds and the alligators we spotted around the golf course. Sitting around the pool at the end of the day and taking a swim was the greatest treat!

We love the beautiful marsh setting and the private pool is absolutely awesome! It was perfect to get up early and have the children jump in the pool before heading off to the beach and to ride bikes. The guys spent almost every day fishing and we were rewarded with redfish and even a flounder. The ladies took long walks and even managed to get in to Charleston for some gratifying shopping. Dinners were incredible as usual. We ate in with fresh seafood twice, but hit our favorites in Charleston four nights. An absolutely incredible week. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home! we can't wait to come back!
