We visited Sebastian Beach the week of 06.26.11 through 07.01.11 and boy did it rain! Thanks goodness we were staying at the Casa Tortuga! The home was so warm and welcoming. Our family felt welcome as soon as we walked through the door! The house was well stocked with everything from the kitchen to the bathroom. It was so clean and comfortable, you felt like you were home! Our mission when we arrived was to go to the beach, Disney and the Kennedy Space Center. Well, we got to do all those things, in the rain! lol Thank goodness for the pool! In between the rain, the grandchildren lived in it! A few were disappointed that the bedrooms didn't have TV's, but we were having so much fun they soon got over that! All was not lost the sun did come out on Friday, the day we were leaving, so we spent our day at the beach that day and drove home with sunshine faces and happy memories! Despite the rain we had a great time and a lot of it had to do with our stay at Casa Tortuga. Our family rents on VRBO every year and have been very pleased with most of our stays, but never enough to take the time out to write a review. This house and the owner was worth writing a review. The owner was wonderful! Would absolutly come back, but next time I will check the weather reports!

Our family of four stayed here the last week of June 2010; we loved the cleanliness, the pool, and the layout of the house. Renting this house was far superior to staying in a hotel and eating out every meal. With the lanai and 2 additional dining areas, we enjoyed mixing it up. If we return to Sebastian, we will be looking to rent this house again!! A wonderful activity for our family were the Loggerhead Sea Turtle tours originating at the Barrier Island Center, in addition to the beautiful beaches.

Family Reunion 2010

Had a wonderful time staying at Casa Tortuga last week. Very spacious home with plenty of room even with two teenage boys along. It turned out to be the perfect location for us. My mother's 80th birthday dinner we had at Capt. Hiram's. My favorite cousin was not able to make it to our family reunion, but was able to come over for an afternoon by the pool. Our favorite beach turned out to be Golden Sands, a few miles away. My 7 yr old grandaughter learned to "actually" swim and spent every available moment showing off in the pool. Hot dogs & hamburgers on the grill.

We stayed here in March of this year and absolutely loved it! Very spacious and ready to stay in. We felt close to all we needed to get too. The pool and hottub was great too. Beds were clean and comfy. Dinner on the patio was good, spent a lot of time in the pool during the day and night. The night lights make for some good evenings outside. Lots of play things in the garage for all ages, bikes, riding toys and some baby things, the baby jumper was great for our 7 month old grandson. Would definately look this home up again to stay in. Owners were great to work with too.

Wonderful Vacation

If you are looking for wonderful accommodations for your vacation, this is it. Casa Tortuga is nestled in a quiet neighborhood only a few minutes from the beaches and a little more than an hour to all the attractions of Orlando. It provides everything needed for a wonderful getaway. Traveling with a family of six, we found ourselves most days at the beach, enjoying the surf for a few hours before coming home to the heated pool which was far beyond our expectations. Our kids loved it [ages 4, 5, 14 and 16]. Each night, we enjoyed our family dinner, sitting outside in the patio area. Daily we also went on walks, rode bikes, went fishing at a local pond, visited a local park, shopped at the outlet mall, watch the space shuttle lift off, or just sat outside reading and enjoying the wonderful weather. No doubt, it is one of our best, relaxing vacations. If you are looking for the perfect getaway, Casa Tortuga is it.

I rented this home in July of 2007 and was pleased with all of the amnenites that were included like a computer with internet access, printer, food items from previous renters. The home was in excellent condition and the pool was crystal clear. My family I and I had great time and would recommend Casa Tortuga to any family looking for a beutiful home to enjoy a nice Florida vacation.
