  • Terrific sunsets

"We are sitting by the pool enjoying the terrific view and wishing our two weeks at Freddy's wonderful house were not about to end. The covered and uncovered decks, gas grill, numerous seating areas, rope chairs, and, of course the panoramic deck shower, had us outdoors for most of our time here. Few houses we have rented in Tortola over the last 15 years were as well designed to make that possible. The interior space reflects the same thoughtfulness. You can open screen doors and louvered windows to let the breezes in without the insects -- no mosquito nets needed here. The central Brewers Bay location is as scenic as any other spot on the island but is also much more convenient for shopping or restaurant trips to Road Town and other attractions. The house is very well equipped and is made even more user friendly by the many notes, instructions and suggestions posted throughout, answering your questions before you even think about them. We highly recommend this house."

  • We LOVE Limeberry!

"I'm not sure where to begin...We had an AMAZING 10 day stay at Limeberry House over Christmas. My family of 4 (girls 13 & 11) arrived 12/17 on the last ferry from St Thomas. Jon was there with a smile on his face to greet us. His friend Rohan helped us pack the car and led us to the house. Everything was perfect. The fridge had the essentials for the evening and breakfast the next day. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfy...Limeberry was the perfect house for us. The girls loved the pool and I loved how close it was to the 2 beautiful beaches of Long Bay and Smugglers Cove. Jon and Katy were wonderful hosts, making sure we were enjoying ourselves and kindly invited us for lunch with them at Little Thatch on Christmas Day. That was something we will never forget! Susie and Pinky were friendly housekeepers ensuring everything was clean and perfectly placed. Pinky even helped us find the local medical clinic so my husband could get antibiotic for his ear infection! We enjoyed 2 daysails with Gary on the Kuralu out of Sopers Hole. Probably the best 2 days of the whole vacation. We also swam with the dolphins at Prospect Reef Resort which was another amazing experience! We rented a powerboat from Island Time in Nanny Cay for 2 of our days and paddled boarded at Cane Garden Bay on Christmas Eve morning. We packed a lot in to our vacation but still felt well rested and renewed when it was time to leave. Jon happened to come by as we were checking in at the ferry dock and bid us farewell. After an incredibly long day of travel, we finally made it home at 1:15am. At 2am as we tucked our tired 11 year old in bed, she realized she left her favorite stuffed animal in her room at Limeberry. I quickly emailed Jon to be on the lookout for "Brownie". We woke up later that morning to a sweet email from him saying that Brownie was hanging out at Little Thatch with them and would be shipped back to us as soon as possible. That's the kind of host Jon is. Incredibly kind and generous. Willing to go the extra mile(and extra postage) to make you happy. My husband and I feel like we have new friends in Jon and Katy. We look forward to seeing them again soon. Highly recommend Limeberry! You will not be disappointed."

  • Absolute Paradise!

"If your looking for the absolute most beautiful sunsets, quiet serenity, turquoise waters and exceptional surroundings, then this is the place for you! This was our second time staying in this villa, and when we discussed where to go when deciding on another island vacation, there wasn't any question as to what the answer would be, HIGH POINT on the beautiful island of Tortola. It's a stones throw from five different islands and much more tranquil and less touristy than St Thomas or St John, but does have quite a bit of shopping and tourist areas if you travel the 35 minutes east to Roadtown. We did take a few road trips to Roadtown and although it's quite busy, and easily accessed, it's easier to navigate during the day versus after dark. One of the many reasons we loved this villa is because of it's location. With beautiful (almost) 360 degree views, it's quiet and secluded and more room than you know what to do with. It's decorated superbly and is very homey. Soper's Hole is a wonderful little spot to visit and is on the west end of the island, easily seen from the villa's deck. With it's many boardwalk shops, boating/diving and snorkeling day trips you can take, or stopping at the famous Pusser's restaurant and bar, it's the perfect place to stop for lunch and enjoy a Pusser's "Pain Killer". There is also a local market which has everything you need (make sure you go upstair too) without traveling to Roadtown, it is an easy 5-7 minutes from the villa. There is also a wonderful outdoor bar and restaurant directly across the bay called The Fish-N-Lime Inn, which serves great lunches and evening specials of fresh fish and home made entrees. Check out the silver Tarpon, baby sharks and sting rays that swim at the end of the dock, awesome! You can also tour the island in one of Jerry's car rentals, making sure to visit the north side of the island where there are numerous beaches and small local villages. You can also catch the ferry and buzz over to Jost Van Dyke, where your first stop has to be Foxy's bar just walking distance up the road or grab a taxi and hit the beach at White Bay beach, beautiful! If you just want to lay back and do nothing, this villa is the perfect place with every amenity imaginable. Soak, swim, take a nap, or just relax and watch the most amazing sunsets while dining at home, Doug and Linda have made their home warm, inviting and cozy, there is no better place! There's not enough stars for this place, truly Paradise!!"

  • Great stay!

"Beautiful views! Jan is a great host and tries to do what she can to ensure a good visit. She offered to drive us to the ferry if we wanted to do an overnight on one of the islands so we didn't have to leave our car unattended. Her villa is wonderful, plenty spacious for our family of 3. View is fantastic, you can see Virgin Gorda and several small islands and you look down on a beautiful beach. The deck has comfortable chairs for relaxing and a large table so you can enjoy meals outside. We were a bit concerned about being across from the airport, but you're not that close it wasn't bothersome and was actually fun to watch the planes come and go. There's not a ton of traffic and there's no loud jets. The property doesn't have A/C but we opened the windows at night and being up on a hill we had plenty of breeze so we were very comfortable and it was fun to fall asleep and wake-up to the sound of the ocean. We really enjoyed the location. 2 minutes to Trellis bay where you can catch ferries for island hoping, only a 15 minute ride to Virgin Gorda. Trellis has several good restaurants and a bit of night life if you're looking for that (days at the beach did us in). There's also restaurants and supermarkets in East End only 7 minutes away. Being such a small island you're not far from anything. We drove all over exploring the beaches and were never more than 30-40 minutes from home. Have to say one of the best beaches was right below the villa. Long Bay East. A mile or so stretch of sandy beach that was almost always empty, had a beautiful view had GREAT snorkeling. The other 2 good snorkeling spots was Smugglers Cove and Brewsters. A few other points. Parking is directly next to the villa which hasn't been the case at some other places we've stayed. Big help when you're loading and unloading all your gear for the day. Jan provides plenty of towels and chairs for your beach time. The one thing that would have been nice is a cooler. Although I'm sure if we mentioned it she would have gotten us one. She offered to pick up a few things for breakfast if we didn't have time to shop on our first night. She's great! This was our first trip to Tortola and we'll certainly be back and when we do we'll stay with Jan again."
