"My husband and I were greeted by Sinbad at the dock. He was the greatest. All information was provided with over fhe top enthusiasm. He was great. The cottage was exactly what we expected. We were able to use the pool at the villa next door when it was vacant. The stay was wonderful and we now plan to return with our immediate family and rent both houses. Thanks Sinbad."Guest: ralph Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 8, 2014View listing
"Having been to St. Thomas before, we decided after a day trip to stay on St. John as it was just much more low key and laid back. It was a difficult decision as to where we'd stay as there are so many wonderful properties, but after speaking with Heather, I just knew that Water Cliff would be our vacation home. It was comfortable enough for 8 adults and has great A/C in the bedrooms. The location, although gorgeous, was a little difficult for some of the taxi's to get to (as are most villas on St. John), but the proximity to town was very good. One thing that would have been good to know in advance is the trash situation (which we were not told about until we arrived). All the trash must be removed and taken to the dumpster in town before departure. Seeing as we did not have a car the last few days, this was a challenge, but most of the taxi's were accomodating (assumed they understood this was common practice). Also, my husband suggests that they invest in a stop valve for the cistern pump (he's in the pool business and this is a common piece of equipment) so that in the event you lose power, you can still use the water with the pump staying primed. The management company was very attentive and checked on us several times during our visit and everyone LOVED the outdoor showers! All in all, our stay at Water Cliff was a delightful experience and we hope to return soon!"Guest: Julie P. Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 29, 2014View listing
"My wife and I were fortunate enough to stay here for 4 nights recently. Our trip was last minute and just by chance the owner, Catherine, had a cancellation. We couldn't recommend staying here highly enough. The cottage itself is beautiful, with wonderful privacy and incredible vistas. It is really appointed thoughtfully; the outside shower is great; you can shower under the stars or while overlooking the Caribbean. More importantly, Catherine does a few things that make a huge difference, especially upon arrival. She met us at the ferry, took us to get our rental car, to the supermarket and then led us to her property. The first night there she delivers dinner to you, while having stacked a bottle of win in the refrigerator and supplying a pound of coffee, milk, orange juice and granola. After traveling to get to St. John, these gestures, for us, really made a huge difference. We could relax the first night, not having to run out for food and were set for the next morning as well. The cottage itself is a wonderful place to be and Catherine's hospitality is completely unobtrusive and helpful. I should also note that there were very few bugs at night in this location, possibly due to the constant breeze and the location of the cottage itself. We felt lucky to get to stay there and hope to return. We would recommend it highly."Guest: ghoop Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: March 21, 2014View listing
"We stayed at Ginger Thomas for 12 days and loved everything about it. The villa is exactly as shown on the website and has every amenity that you would need for a great vacation. The views are unobstructed and spectacular. We found the villa to be very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The distance to town was great too if you needed to run in quick. It was walkable if necessary but I would suggest a car to get up the steep hill! Jim Overton was wonderful to work with and made it known that he was available should we need him during our stay. We have absolutely no negatives to post about our stay or the service we received and plan on staying there again in the future. Thank you again for everything!!"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: November 2013 Review Submitted: December 3, 2013View listing
