Lovely but ........

  • 3 of 5

The house and location was fantastic, but I must have missed the part of the advert that said no AC. Many houses thereabouts have no AC. This was difficult for me coming from a cold climate to a very hot and humid week.

The hosts were very thoughtful. I enjoyed listening to the frogs at night.

Amazing stay all the amenities of home!

  • 5 of 5

Other than having to call Mark (sorry and thanks for walking us through it) because we were having issues with the gate lock everything was great. The snacks and juice was an unexpected and nice surprise. Directions were spot on. Location was great out but not to far out. Loved sitting on the lani and hearing the waves. Kitchen was well appointed, spices., butter, crock pot, blender, ... The only bad part was the rain and that we couldn't stay longer.

Very clean and homey house with a great location for exploring the Hilo side

  • 5 of 5

The house was exactly as described. We loved our stay here. It was clean and very well kept. Loved the lanai. We even picked a lime from the backyard and used it in some fresh guacamole. Nice quiet neighborhood, and only a short walk to the ocean and beautiful views. You can hear the waves if it is quiet. Fully equipped kitchen. My only drawback to this house is the water pressure is inconsistent and weak. But I guess that is a product of the water catchment system. Not the worst ever. We would definitely stay here again.

A Great holiday visit to the Big Island

  • 5 of 5

A delightful home and base close enough to Hilo for all the essential logistics and far enough away to be part of rural Hawai'i

We would thoroughly recommend the Holub home for anyone wanting to enjoy the quieter and more traditional regions of the Big island

Hear the waves!

Peaceful and clean updated home with the important little things available (sunscreen, baby wipes). About 20 min from Hilo and the grocery store. Be aware that the doors are not soundproof at all.
