Everyone on Oahu knows the Ilikai Marina; ask any kama'aina (local). The Pink Plumeria is right at the center of action for the Ala Wai (Ala Moana) boat harbor and beach park, and a hundred other magical points of interest, yet is remarkably pleasant, convenient, and luxurious. At 679 sq. ft., this condo is considered large by Waikiki oceanfront standards.
Picture yourself watching the outrigger canoe practices, cheering on world-class surfers, or toasting the blazing sunset with your mai tai from our completely refurbished and updated luxury condominium. Or maybe marveling at the Friday night fireworks at the Hilton from one of the best vistas in town. Serene, quiet, ocean front and marina-front living with a 180 degree ocean and marina view. A true one-bedroom unit, a large sliding door closes to separate the living room from the bedroom, but can be open to make the condo look and feel bigger.
Our unit is at the more tranquil Ewa end of Waikiki, yet mere minutes from Ala Moana Mall, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Ft. Derussy, Magic Island, Duke's, and 100 other tropical destinations, especially the sparkling white sands of Waikiki - the 'funnest' beach in the world!
Don't feel like cooking? A 'Best in Honolulu' restaurant is within a one-minute walk: the Chart House. Close by is also Pesca Waikiki Beach at the Top of the "I." Red Lobster and the Harbor Pub, long time local favorites, are also less than a one-minute walk away. On your way to the beach, stop off at Cinnamon's Restaurant for food, drinks, and "local kine" hula and music. All this within a 1-3 minute walk.
Locals love the look and feel of the Ilikai Marina, and you will too. The warm feeling of aloha will gently soothe your cares as you relax into the local kine lifestyle. Many of our guests don't even bother to rent a car; "The Bus" is consistently rated the best public transportation system in the USA.
There is a public parking garage next to to our building, and parking is currently $28 per day. If you use the attached parking garage, you will be able to walk directly from your car to our unit; no elevator ride with your luggage or groceries. There is also hourly public parking in front of our building and surrounding the marina. The above rates are subject to change.
An upgraded building laundry is available to use on the 8th floor. Big screen TV, and quiet central air conditioning! Yes, we love it! You will too! No bait and switch on these photos. EVERY PHOTO TAKEN BY US OF THIS EXACT CONDO! We have guests return 8, 9, and yes even 10 times!
King size bed ( 2 twins combined) with a high density King memory foam topper AND fully encased with bed bug protectors.
MINIMUM STAYS VARY BY MONTH AND BY SEASON. PLEASE INQUIRE FIRST. FOR EXAMPLE: CHRISTMAS REQUIRES A MINIMUM 2 WEEK STAY. THE MONTHS OF JANUARY AND FEBRUARY REQUIRE A 30 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY.

Great condo in a great location! Everything you need is within walking distance, and the hosts have stocked the condo with all the things you need, but that you forgot you needed. The condo is super clean and cozy, and the hosts are super friendly.

The view is amazing! Everything we needed in the kitchen is provided. The room is clean and comfortable like a home away from home. It was great to have a fan as we like having moving air while sleeping. Although we didnt make use, we loved that there were beach amenties available.

The Pink Plummeria is an amazing place to stay! It is in a perfect location-close to everything in Waikiki, but quieter than expected. The owners have outfitted it exceptionally well-this is where it makes for a great place to stay. They have thought of everything-beach chairs, snorkeling gear, books, games, extra fans, and a full kitchen! It is short walk to Ala Moana Park, the Mall, and the Lagoon and beach at the Hilton Village. There is no shortage of good food around (get the Açaí Bowls at Tropical Tribe, next to the McDonald’s across the street!). Staying here will truly make your vacation better-I can’t wait to stay there again!

Lovely, well equipped, responsive to questions. Over and above with trip suggestions. Helpful local support contact.Kitchen had all we would need, and several spices/oils.Fantastic view even though lanai was under construction.Uncongested and close proximity to beach. Easy parking in garage to the same level as the condo.
It would be a great place to stay for couples or small family.

If there is ever an issue with excess noise into building quiet hours, a call to Building Security takes care of it. Waikiki is definitely a city experience, with times of heavier and lesser traffic.

Condo was great! View overlooking the marina was fabulous! The ONLY downside was the parking garage. There was a literal traffic jam inside the parking garage, mostly due to the very confusing process of paying to park. Luckily, that was our last night & we had the process figured out but not everyone was so lucky. Other than that little snafu, we had a fantastic time! There were beach chairs, umbrella, & backpack in the condo so it made it super easy to spend the day on the beach. A wagon would be helpful so you could carry that to the beach but we loaded up our Jeep and off we went. It was an amazing time! 100% recommend!!

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. Very much appreciated. The dishwasher is brand new, so we would have taken care of it immediately had we known. We will have it checked out right away. Our onsite property manager would have been happy to supply more washcloths, or anything else as needed.

We stayed in this condo from 10/01 - 10/08 in 2024, and were very happy with it! There are a ton of walkable activities nearby, but even if you have a car, parking on the 5th floor and walking in to the condo was a breeze!
I only gave it a 4-star on the listing accuracy because the "king size" bed is definitely two twin beds pushed together. Other than that, we really enjoyed the stay!

Well organized host, many thoughtful touches. Wonderful location in heart of a marina, very clean, well maintained and roomy condo. Convenient discount parking available in same building. Strong Wi-Fi, easy to work remote in condo. Zoom, VOIP calls, and remote file access worked well, excellent reliable internet connection. Would definitely stay here again!

The place was as advertised, comfortable and plenty of space. The owners keep several items there for your use at the beach. The parking was very convenient and affordable. The owners and their local point of contact were all very nice and very prompt with all responses to any questions we had. Beautiful Condo ! Great loacation !
Stayed for two weeks in May at the Pink Plumeria. This condo is absolutely beautiful, clean well decorated and updated with A well stocked kitchen with everything you would ever need. The view from the living room and lanai are amazing looking over the Marina and and the surf at Ala Moana Bowls.we could walk to everything, Great beach in front of the Hilton Hawaiin Village 2 minute walk. There is a Chart House Rest. on the ground floor of the building with a great happy hour and live hawaiin music every night. We cant wait to return ! Thanks Rex and Erica !

Pink Plumeria Waikiki
Just arrived home back to Florida from a weeks stay at the Pink Plumeria in Waikiki. This was my first experience with VRBO, and can attest that this location and property is every bit and more than was expected. My (2) teens and myself set-out on a Family adventure and were very pleased with the acccomodations. If your looking for more than a hotel, then this is the place. Shopping, Restraurants, and convenient stores within walking distance. We loved so much, I wish I could ship my personal belongings and move in for good! All the comforts of home and more. We plan on returning as offen as possible.

Clean Convenient Comfy
We stayed at Pink Plumeria for the 2018 Honolulu Marathon. My husband was running I was watching. This condo was very convenient to the start line. Unfortunately the finish line was nearly 2 miles away so it was a difficult walk back at the end of the race.
The condo was very clean and had everything necessary for our stay.
The lagoon and beach were just a short walk. Convenience store and restaurants were steps away.
We enjoyed the corner pub for drinks and pizza and the Hilton Hawaiian Village is just around the corner for shopping and ice cream.
The bed and furnishings are cozy and comfortable.
I’m glad we chose Pink Plumeria for our Oahu stay.

The Marathon usually ends up in a different location than the starting line, so there isn't much we can do to change that. Some other shorter races do start and finish at Ala Moana Beach Park. We hope everything else went beautifully for you in the Land of Aloha.

Location of condo is ideal, it’s close to everything - beach, restaurants, mall etc. Communication with the host was smooth, no issues. The condo has everything you need for your stay. Furniture seems a bit outdated, but comfortable. The balcony is only big enough to stand, no real space to sit down and enjoy your morning brew, but the views and sunset make up for that. The washer and dryer was out of service in the condo so we had to pay to use the community laundry on the 8th floor which was inconvenient. There was an issue with roaches in the kitchen area of the condo but apparently this is an issue everywhere in Hawaii, the guide book that’s left for you explains that they’re everywhere but they fumigate the building regularly - it’s still shocking when you randomly see them running on the counter and under the sink so that’s something to consider. Overall the condo was nice and would stay again

Thank you for mentioning that the condo was nice, and that you would like to stay again. We take a lot of pride in keeping it clean, beautiful, and safe.
Regarding insects, they are endemic to the tropics, and our building and our condo in particular are sprayed regularly to keep them at bay. if a guest were to let us know that they see any insects, we can immediately call the pest control company and they can send someone out within 24 hours to take care of any issues. Insects are attracted to garbage and trash, so it is vital that guests dump their trash daily, as per the condo instruction binder, since any sort of garbage or food left out on the countertops or below it will inevitably attract insects in the tropics. The food debris left on the countertops and the three large sized trash bags of garbage left in the condo upon your departure indicated that this did not happen on a daily basis.
Concerning the furniture, our photos on VRBO are completely up to date, as they were when you booked, and clearly show what the condo and the furnishings look like.
As to the washer and dryer, we have disconnected them for safety reasons, at the request of our Board of Directors. The Board has made this request of all condo owners. We did notify you of this shortly after you booked regarding this change.
Out of concern for the quality of your stay with us, we did call you, once your comments were posted, but have not heard back from you.

Just a little about us: I am a former University professor, small business owner, and management consultant for many years. Currently I am a business broker specializing in helping people buy or sell their smaller businesses in the Central Coast area of California.
My wife lived on Oahu in Lanikai and Kailua for many years, and was a successful chiropractor in Kailua. She is now a chiropractor practicing in the Santa Cruz, CA. Although she still considers herself a novice, she loves dancing and performing hula shows with her halau (hula school).
Why they chose this property
Both my wife and I love the Hawaiian people, the culture, and the Hawaiian oceansports. We have both been avid outrigger paddlers and racers for many years. I have been surfing since I was 4 years old. We get into the water whenever we can...which is never enough of course! Part of our commitment to Hawaii is to cherish and respect our opportunity to own a condo in the Land of Aloha.
What makes this property unique
We fell in love with our condo as soon as we saw it. It is in one of the most laid back areas of Waikiki, and is right next to where my wife's father worked at the old Kaiser Hospital for many years. He loved this neighborhood and lived in it for years.
Our condo is very nicely appointed, upscale, refurbished throughout, and is wonderful for those of you looking for a little less intensity with a little more of the local-kine feel of the neighborhood. Our proximity to the Hilton gives us the same beach and play opportunities, at much less cost. MAHALO NUI A ME A HUI HOU!
