We love providing great vacations for our guests! Here is a recent guest's review: "This is the perfect Asheville vacation house. The house was beautiful and shockingly spacious for the size. The owners were very easy to speak with and the deck is perfect in every way. We really cannot get over how great this place was. It's the kind of place you'd want to stay forever."

Our brand new rustic modern cabins allow you to reconnect with nature and loved ones, and stay within a short Uber ride to fabulous downtown Asheville. Relax on the expansive porch with seating and dining areas, and a retro cone fireplace (firewood provided). Take a dip in our pristine hot tub under the stars, and be spoiled with extra towels and cozy robes. Play yard games with friends. Have a fire pit cookout and s'mores roast. Sit and read a book at benches along babbling Shope Creek. Take a nap in an Eno hammock under the towering trees. Enjoy mountain views, wildlife and the many native plants.

The cabin interior features an open floor plan and modern conveniences. The main living space features rustic modern furnishings, a large flatscreen TV, and fully-stocked kitchen with new stainless appliances. The master suite includes a new queen bed with luxurious linens. The second floor loft space has two cozy twin beds and plenty of books, games and toys (please note the loft ladder weight limit is 220lb, and is not recommended for young children or people with mobility challenges). Our spa-like bath includes fluffy towels, organic bath products and a large tiled shower.

This cabin is nestled along a large creek, 1 mile from dozens of hiking and biking trails in Pisgah National Forest, 4 miles from the nearest entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and 7 miles from downtown, brewery districts and the Biltmore House. After a short scenic ride, you'll arrive in downtown Asheville with its award-winning restaurants, galleries, huge antique malls, mircro breweries and boutique shopping. For foodies, we recommend Buxton Hall Southern BBQ and neighboring microbreweries in the South Slope District, Night Bell featuring James Beard awardee Chef Katie Button, Chai Pani Indian Street Food with MG Road cocktail lounge downstairs on Wall Street, En La Calle Mexican food on Eagle St, and Bouchon French Comfort Food and Creperie on Lexington Ave.

About Mae

Modcabins is a family owned business. We designed and built rustic modern cabins just 7 miles from downtown Asheville. We are passionate about the tiny house movement, a cultural shift to live a more self-sufficient, environmentally friendly and financially secure life. We love hosting visitors to our little cabins in this beautiful mountain setting.

We recognize that on average, our guests have only a few weeks of vacation time each year. Therefore we spoil our guests with a relaxing and luxurious experience that allows guests to reconnect with nature and loved ones, and feel restored and when returning home.

Why Mae chose Asheville

I am an Appalachian native, and love being a part of our mountain community. We chose this property because it is located conveniently only 7 miles to downtown Asheville, 4 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and 1 mile from dozens of hiking trails in the Pisgah National Forest. The property also borders the beautiful Shope Creek, with mountain and forest views.

Our family of four loved our trip to Asheville and this cabin was perfect for us. We cooked out dinner by a fire, enjoyed the hot tub and all had comfy beds to sleep in and plenty of space. We would stay agian at the cabin when we come back to Asheville.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 1802 Cabin. Cabin had all the amenities needed...every evening we explored the creek then enjoyed the hot tub. Cabin was clean, bed was comfortable, WiFi was great and the fire place on the deck was perfect for happy hour :). Thank You!!
