House 7 aims to bring the Pura Vida life to Pajaro Dunes and Monterey Bay, with a wonderful four-bedroom beach home where you feel your cares melt away. The home promotes a happy mood with its light yellow walls and peacefulness and balance with its soothing furnishings in taupe, gray, and rich wood. It is fresh, clean and ready after a complete remodel!
This home is outfitted perfectly either for families to share, or for groups of adults to get away. It has four private bedrooms and can easily host four couples (2 K, 2 Q). For families, it offers flexible options for sleeping adults and kids in 10 separate beds (2K, 2Q, 4T bunks, 2 T floor mattresses) in 4 proper bedrooms. This home can accommodate up to 12 adults/children total.
7 Sanderling has FULL OCEAN VIEWS from the living area, kitchen, master bedroom, back deck. Out the back door is a wonderful bluff with lounge chairs for afternoons spent chatting, spotting dolphins, seals and perhaps even whales. A clever parent can make a contest out of food and beverage service, ensuring a steady stream of little helpers bringing goodies to the grown ups in the lounge chairs!
The ping pong atrium is beyond! A NEW gorgeous ping pong topper, surrounded by pub tables, stools, a cool glass atrium and ocean views is custom made for hanging out and socializing day and night. (NO pool table).
This two-story home is appropriate for grandparents or anyone with physical challenges who can climb one set of stairs then stay put on the top level. The approach to the home from the parking area is perfectly flat, then climb one set of stairs to the top floor of the home, and with 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms right on that main upstairs living level. The other 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom are downstairs and away from the main living area.
The main living level upstairs includes: - open kitchen with electric ceramic flat-top range and microwave - Large ocean-view deck with two sets of outdoor tables, chairs+benches for 12, and patio umbrellas - Path to panoramic view bluff at edge of sea wall, bench and 2 lounge chairs - Dining area (seats 12 at dining table and breakfast bar) - Living room area with huge, new Smart TV - 2 King bedrooms both with private bathrooms (one with soaking tub), and TVs (no bidets/washlets) - Hall half-bathroom with sink and toilet - Amazing center atrium LOUNGE with pool table (beat up) under a NEW regulation ping pong topper, adjoining kitchen and living area with pub tables/stools and its own tv
The downstairs level includes: - "Bunk room" with Queen bed plus two sets of twin bunkbeds plus two twin floor mattresses, also with slider directly to back deck with beach grass view. - Queen bedroom with slider directly to back deck with beach grass view - Shared, large full bathroom with shower *and* tub - Washer/dryer
While the deck and view from this oceanfront home are perched right over the beach, none of the homes at Pajaro Dunes have direct access to the beach due to a 10' high granite sea wall below the dune. The actual beach access takes two minutes down a short boardwalk from the front door of the home -- just two houses over and one set of stairs down to the beach.
Checkout tasks: strip sheets and towels; take out trash and unused food; wash and put away kitchenware; lights and heat off and doors and windows locked. See contract for checklist.
Notes: Electronic signature required on rental contract, and $300 security hold will be run prior to arrival. Security camera views outdoor entry space that is also visible by public. Pajaro Dunes does not allow pets and we strictly enforce this. Bonfires also are not allowed on beach or property. We enforce the same headcount maximum day AND night with no extra visitors. We do not host events or gatherings beyond the person maximum (all adults/kids included). Any guests renting multiple homes should NOT plan on renting this house, it does not participate in multiple home situations where a group spreads out into different homes.

Excellent ocean view and access to the beach. This house has it all. The bedrooms were all comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. Lots of family space. Great open kitchen. The perfect place for vacation with family. Anytime we had a question the host addressed it right away. If you want to stay on the beach this is the place for you!

The host was excellent and thoughtful making sure we had everything we needed. The house is beautiful and very clean. Wonderful view right on the beach. Nice outdoor sitting area on the dunes overlooking the beach. Upstairs with two bedrooms and 2&1/2 bathrooms was very nice for the two single people while the downstairs with 2 bedrooms and a full bath worked out great for a family with young children. 6 TV’s in this house!! Loved our stay here.

thank you for your comments and glad you enjoyed your stay! I believe the guest is referring to an outdoor table that broke when an umbrella hit it because the table was rusted from the ocean. Within an hour our cleaners were there to clean and take away the entire mess And of course we did not hold the breakage against the renter. They were provided substitute tables and said they were just fine. We provide that level of service at every opportunity.
Regrettably a four star review harms a host business substantially and can take away premier host status so please consider in the context of a beautiful oceanfront home, location, excellent service - whether one incident swiftly expertly handled warrants a demerit on the whole stay.
Great house, big enough for everybody without feeling cramped. The views are unbeatable and the large windows allow you to enjoy the beach rain or shine.
We had a great long weekend away at the beach. The house is roomy, views of the ocean are amazing with beach access very close. A great kitchen to cook and entertain with comfortable seating in the family room. The only negative was the power went out one evening but we made do. A couple areas to improve are the bed mattress and the outdoor area.

Perfect location with great views of the water! We had 12 people staying in the house and it was roomy and well equipped. Easy drive to Santa Cruz and Monterey. The rental process was easy. We would stay there again.
Outstanding place to stay and everything was top notch all around! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to another one soon. Host stayed in contact to make sure everything was going well.
House is nice and large, very nice floor plan, had a lot of games and equipment we could use.
Loved the location with it being right on the beach! Some spectacular views when it wasn't foggy :)

Great place, terrific location, good facilities. Didn't particularly like the management company -- confining us to no more than 5 people and three cars, when we were renting a place advertized to sleep 12. Plus no hot water when we arrived, which was quickly resolved, so they are on the job, just kind of preemptive and unpleasant. Also couldn't figure out how to use the Raku TV though they said to call if we needed help. I didn't feel like calling them to get talked through a technical issue, so we just didn't watch the movies we were planning to stream. Got the sense that they were trying to make their jobs easier rather than making our stay more pleasant.

This is a surprise and super disheartening as it seems to be based on assumptions that are not accurate. They were never limited to five people and three cars, those were the guest's own totals provided. I was available 24/7 with my personal cell to call and text. The "management company" is a person providing direct individual service immediately to any guest when anything comes up. I had the water heating up within a few minutes after they called/arrived - the breaker had just tripped unexpectedly. I convinced her to flip the breaker, which was a challenge as she was certain that was not the issue and I did not want to interrupt the guest's comments. Anticipating from her comments that they might have problems with some basic functions, I proactively offered tips to use the Roku remote for streaming which is the easiest, and automatically deletes their login info upon departure. I never heard from this guest again. It sounds like they did not have the TV set to the Roku input which would have been a simple fix. I don't understand the notion of making the job easier as these folks were supported personally and quickly whenever needed.
Priceless to spend your day in the backyard…which happens to be on the Monterey Bay! The home afforded our family of five privacy and comfort! Kitchen was well equipped and a great place make some culinary delights!

A relaxing peacefulness that allows for a pause in life in order to reflect on what really matters.
