About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 2-4)

Parkside Escape is one of the very few cabins on property which actually adjoins the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Located in prestigious Chalet Village, Parkside Escape is just a five minute drive from Ober Gatlinburgs ski slopes, minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, and a short twenty minute drive from Pigeon Forge.

While taking advantage of Parkside Escape's private, high-altitude setting, however, guests quickly forget the proximity of both cities. The perimeter Park Trail is literally twenty-five feet away from the back porch, allowing guests easy access to the beauty of the Park. For our less adventurous guests, our cabin features 1200 sq ft. of covered deck space, perfect for entertaining, enjoying the mountain views, or simply relaxing in the hot tub.

Parkside Escape is tastefully decorated in antiques, and quality furnishings. The large master bath includes a custom-crafted sauna and a slate shower with dual shower heads. A sleeper sofa allows this cabin to accommodate four people overnight without being cramped or uncomfortable.

The kitchen is fully equipped with Calphalon cookware, and along with the dining room, provides a spacious area for guests to entertain. Guests may choose to take advantage of the slate pool table or simply gather around the gas fireplace.

Whether taking advantage of Parkside Escape's privacy and luxury for a romantic getaway, or entertaining your favorite skiing partners, we believe our cabin will provide guests with the perfect access to the beauty and excitement of the Great Smoky Mountains.

Best cabin in Gatlinburg

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was great! Had everything you could want or need. Wonderfully decorated! Owner spared no expense on this one. Loved the pool table being downstairs in the main living area. Great wraparound porch! The driveway was a little tricky getting into, especially if you have a very large vehicle, but, otherwise, beautiful cabin and grounds and very, very clean.

Very nice cabin with everything we needed.

Enjoyed our trip! Had a scary moment when we walked out and a bear was on the porch! We scurried back inside and watched as she waddled off with her three cubs. Always nice to make it back home with a story!

Totally Relaxing Super Comfortable and Dog Friendly!

  • 5 of 5

Quiet, all the comforts of home, and then some! Bordering the national park? No lie, right at the driveway which by the way had a momma bear and two sweet babies with her. At first we we're giggling a truck had to be lost driving back and forth (giggling because it could happen easily) but actually they were filming the bears that happened to be in our yard. They were in the neighborhood throughout the week. At first it was scary but we just walked the wrap around porch before letting our fur baby out to potty just to be sure. It was no issues at all. A raccoon visited us on the porch too! There are houses around you but the way they are positioned you feel private. The porch goes completely around with a hammock and rocking chairs along with the hot tub. The house is amazingly clean so much you can smell the clean as you enter. We put our dog bed down and she immediately found her place and was chill the whole time. The king bed was comfy the full bath up and half down was great. All the amenities you need are available. We enjoyed the sauna and the hot tub. We had bad weather, really bad storms causing down power lines down trees and no power for hours. The phone numbers provided were helpful in maneuvering down the mountain during the drama as best they could be. We just watched a movie on the iPad and or played pool while we waited. On the better days we watched cable on one of the two TVS, watched movies, sat around and visited. Although at first it seemed minimalistic I didn't need anything other than a flashlight when the power went out. Even had wine glasses for the wine I brought. The only thing we had go wrong, which I'm sure would have been fixed had I called was one side of the four slot toaster didn't toast. Gatlinburg had changed so much with so many things to do or just walk around. Shops, wine tasting, whiskey and moonshine tasting, aquarium, restaurants bars harley etc. A lot are dog friendly. We took Karma (the dog) everywhere with us. You can get there quickly. The national park is also great site seeing. We drove to the tail of the dragon for a day out on the road. Do yourself a favor and stop in pigeon forge at the grocery. It's just cheaper. The road is curvy and driveway steep but we found our way perfectly and had zero issues. Don't forget all Harley Davidson locations (and there are a ton in this area) are dog friendly. Most of them even have dog treats! Absolutely recommend we had a great week!

This was the perfect cabin for our anniversary getaway. It was clean and private. We enjoyed use of the hot tub every day. The bed was so comfortable and the shower is awesome. We can't wait to visit again.
