コテージは素朴であると同時にエレガントでもあります。 自然、快適さ、階級のまれな組み合わせ。 コテージは古いメインファームにあります。 ユニークな舞台芸術センターは数百フィート離れたところにあります。 素敵な瞑想センターも徒歩数分です。

Lovely host who made sure we were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Incredibly peaceful property with a beautiful view. The only issue we had was the cottage had some fruit flies likely left over from a previous guest.

The cottage was as advertised. Very clean, remote spot, peaceful. The host was wonderful and very helpful, we appreciated him coming to check in on us in person. Conveniently located to Ellsworth, Acadia and Blueberry Hill. Would recommend the property to others.

Exactly what we wanted on our visit. Welcoming beautiful sunlight spills into the space. View of Cadillac Mt. from the back porch door. Clean and charming. Alan is a gracious host - gave us a tour of the music barn and recommended local spots.

The stay was okay. In-person check-in was unnecessary and inconvenient. The host seemed annoyed and made some uncomfortable comments. The towels were stained and there was no comforter (only a quilt) on the bed. The property is on a hill, but there isn't really a view. The view is of the host's home, other properties, and the music center. The back porch directly faces the host's home/backyard.

Overall it was okay. Not the nicest or fanciest but it was fine. What I did not like: the buildings are super close to each other, tight quarters for parking, bed was small, shower was small. If we would have spent more time there I would have been disappointed but we were up early and got back later in the day. We did not come back mid day due to being close to a hour from the park. The air stopped working sometime during the day before our 3rd night there. It was mild temperatures so it was fine. It's called cottage with a view but there was no view. It was a yard and trees with multiple buildings around. There were constantly flys flying around inside. I booked last minute and took what I could afford. Talked to Alan on the phone before arriving and he was super nice. Arrival and departure was simple. Nothing majorly wrong but not my favorite place.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at the Cottage with a View. We were thankful for the air conditioning as the temperature soared into the 90’s even in Maine! The one room cottage was very comfortable with a queen bed, a futon sofa, table and two chairs and even a piano. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck and the sun setting in the evening. Alan, the innkeeper, was always responsive to our questions and genuinely wanted to ensure we enjoyed our time in Surry. He told us about a lovely beach area and lobster shack just minutes from the cottage. He also gave us a tour of the Surry Arts Barn next to our cottage as there were no performances while we were there. Maybe we will return when there is a music show that fits our schedule and stay again at one of the cottages. We highly recommend this lovely spot away from the crowds of Acadia during the summer months.

Loved staying at the cottage during our trip to Acadia National Park! It was the perfect distance from the park where it was an easy drive but also far enough away from the super touristy areas that we were able to relax at night. Such a quiet, beautiful property that we'd love to stay at again!

Great location

Stay was as described, 7 units are close proximity with attentive owner on site. Perfect launching spot for daily activities and hiking excursions.

What a great isolated place to stay

It's a great place to get away from spending the days in bar harbor and Acadia, while also getting the added benefit of being close to great local small towns that also have lots to offer.

I have lived on this property for close to 40 years. I am originally from South Shore, Long Island, near New York City. In my younger years I lived, worked and went to university in New York City. I have pioneered the field of music therapy in the state of Maine, both on the higher academic levels and in terms of interesting and far reaching clinical projects.

For the last 6-7 years I have put my time and energy into developing a seasonal performing arts project (www.surryartsandevents.com). In addition, I have found I am well-suited for hospitality and have been successful in running three popular VRBO/AirBNB rentals. I know the area well, and like to share what I know with others. We are a 5-6 minute walk to the coast and well situated between two great towns, Blue Hill and Ellsworth. We are in close proximity to Acadia National Park, which draws millions of visitors every year before, after and during the pandemic. Finally, I very much want to be part of the solution, not the problem, so we follow all State of Maine CDC COVID-19 guidelines.

I try my very best to assist guests in every way possible. I very much want to share this beautiful area and see people having fulfilling visits and experiences.
