Enjoy the tropical paradise of Kiahuna Plantation, one of the most spacious properties on the island. The property has 35 acres of manicured lawns and tropical gardens leading to a beautiful crescent shaped beach and calm ocean waters. The Condos are low-rise Hawaiian plantation-style with plenty of room in-between for strolling or playing games on the large lawns. Kiahuna is the only beachfront Condo resort in Poipu.
Our upgraded Condo is centrally located in a great garden location and a two minute walk to the beach. We are on the first floor, unit #57 in building #11. The lanai opens right out to the lawn. There is a table & chairs and lounge chairs for relaxing. Our bathroom was remodeled in travertine tile, the bedroom features a new bed (August 2013), and most of our appliances are new. We are continuously making upgrades. There is free cable internet, and we've purchased a wireless router so laptops may be taken out on the lanai with ease. A barbecue grill is conveniently located in front of our unit. No need to drive to laundry as we are also steps away.
Kiahuna fronts a beautiful crescent shaped beach where you can swim, snorkel, boogie-board and surf. The beach is protected by a reef. Complimentary chairs and beach towels are provided.
This rental comes with access to the Poipu Athletic Club, located across the street from Kiahuna Plantation, which includes free use of the following:
• Fantastic pool with waterslide, toddler beach area (ideal environment for kids!), lounges and sun umbrellas.
• Tennis courts and ball machine (just ask!)
• Weights, ellipticals, stationary bikes, treadmills, Nautilus-type weights, air-conditioned cardio room.
• Cold water, soda, juice & tea (also free).
At $8.00 each, there are also a number of classes to choose from, including Water Aerobics, Core, Yoga, Training Essentials and Yoga, for which we would be happy to provide you with a class schedule.
The Poipu Shopping Village and Kiahuna Golf Course are also across the road. The Poipu Bay Golf Course is one mile down the road.

This was our 8th visit to the Kiahuna Plantation for our annual spring break trip. We have fallen in love with the Kiahuna and all of the fabulous amenities it offers; beach, barbecues, lawns/gardens and friendly staff. The updated Tennis Club is fabulous and a great improvement to years past!
We have stayed in 3 other units over the years and I was disappointed in this unit. As mentioned in an earlier review, there were indentations in the mattress that had a peak in the middle running top to bottom, which tended to roll you off the bed. It was extremely soft and uncomfortable. We received a call from Castle asking if they could take a look at the mattress for the owners. A few days later, a brand new bed arrived. It was the firmest mattress I have ever been on, and I prefer a firm mattress. The closet doors had failen off the rails and were hard to maneuver. The bathroom is extremely outdated and the vanity drawers would just fall out of their pockets when they were pulled out because they had no rails. You had to hold on to the drawer when trying to get things out of them. The kitchen is the original configuration, which feels very confining. The cupboards need some work as the doors don't close all of the way, as well as don't open entirely to give good access. The drawers are missing rails, so they tend to drop down like the bathroom. The dishwasher is difficult to slide the shelves in and out and is misaligned. It was missing several of the kitchen appointed utensils (measuring cups and spoons). Lastly, the hide-a-bed was very uncomfortable, as most are, even for young children.
The Kiahuna Plantation is an excellent resort and is our favorite. However, this unit needs some upgrades, especially for the price compared to other completely updated units at a lower price and neighboring buildings. We will return next year to the Kiahuna, but not this particular unit.
We loved our quiet Kiahuna vacation. The gardens were beautiful for walks, the beach was convenient for the kids, and the unit was well maintained. Can't wait to come back!
We stayed here for 5 nights in March , the Apartment is a reasonable size , with the Lounge Bedroom and Bathroom areas being good , however we felt the kitchen was a little dated.
We stayed in 3 different apartments , plus other accommodation, but this was our least favourite due to a couple of reasons.
The Kiahuna complex is quite large, possibly we should have realised this ,and we found it to be poorly lit when going out at night. The terrace area also could have done with some more lighting in our opinion.
There is no view of the sea from the Apartment, while it does not claim to have one the first photo on the vrbo website gives the impression that there is a sea view-again perhaps we should have realised this .
Overall while we quite enjoyed our stay here it was slightly disappointing due to the above
Unit is nice and 1st floor is convenient. Nice complex with great landscaping, good location and nice beach. Pool and tennis courts were unavailable and I think we should have been informed of this before we left. Preferred son's unit which was also a bit cheaper. Overall had a great vacation and would not hesitate to stay here again depending on price and availability of other units.
We have stayed at the Kiahuna before in similar units. We like the Kiahuna due to its convenient location on the island and the beach being a few steps away. This unit suffices and had a closet full of boogie boards, mats, umbrellas, and a cooler. The master bed perhaps needs to be replaced (you can see the permanent indentations of where bodies have been sleeping) and the kids were comfortable on the sofa bed. The kitchen has your basics and the bbq in the common area is quite useful. The biggest disappointment is the unit 2 doors down was being remodeled and all the contractor supplies and large kitchen appliances were stored on the porch - huge eyesore. Plus, we could hear all the construction noise - not relaxing. Renters should be notified if there is going to be construction in the building, especially during high season. Would definitely stay at the Kiahuna again and am ambivalent whether I would stay at this unit. The kids loved the unit as they had the big grassy area right outside the back door and enjoyed using the toys from the closet. Overall had a nice stay.
We had an amazing holiday and awesome weather. The condo was excellent -- very clean and comfortable and was in a great location to the beach and green space. It was really nice to have use of the boogie boards, beach mats, cooler for sightseeing day trips, etc. Having the laundry facility right across the street was also very convenient. The plantation is also in a great location to local shopping and markets. The owners and resort staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend this condo.
Kiahuna has a gorgeous beach which is great for swimming, snorkeling and beginning surfing. Farmers Market is every Monday in Koloa. National Tropical Botanical Gardens and Spouting Horn are close by. Poipu Shopping Village across the road. A couple of very good golf courses are close by including Kiahuna Golf Course across the road, and the famous Poipu Bay Golf Course 1 mile away. There are
Spa services are available next door at the Koa Kea and down the road at the Hyatt. Listen to the morning presentations on activities, tours and dining options around Kauai.
