We invite you to enjoy this treasure at our Kiahuna unit #107. It's on the top floor of a two story building with a sweet partial view of the ocean, which regularly invites you to stroll the 3 minute barefoot walk to the beach (and which you should do frequently!). However, our vacation home also has its many charms that will entice you to linger and savor the tropical paradise that surrounds you. It is fully and stylishly remodeled - check out the photos! Our unit has lovely furnishings and all the amenities that you would expect (including free wireless internet access); see details below. Complimentary access is included to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club, across the street, with its pool, tennis, and extensive new work-out facilities.

We feel our vacation home is the perfect place to either chill out on a romantic get-away or springboard to the many adventures available on Kauai. Come check it out. Be forewarned: you will likely want to come back.

About Mark King

We are a professional couple living in Washington state. We have enjoyed staying at Kiahuna many times over the past twenty years. We have also visited the other Hawaiian islands, which all have their charms and attractions, however, we always find ourselves drawn back to lovely, peaceful Kiahuna. We feel very fortunate to have our own place in paradise. We always are looking forward to our next trip back.

Why Mark King chose South Shore

We both had childhoods in which we were able to spend lots of time playing and swimming on wonderful beaches. We still love being on a beautiful beach, and playing in clear warm water. For us, this is always pure bliss. In additiion, we love the spacious grounds, luxuriant tropical landscaping, and Old Hawaii feel of Kiahuna. And last, but not least, Poipu gets the best sunny weather on Kauai!

What makes this condo unique

We love looking out the window, or sitting on the lanai, and seeing the blue ocean. We also travel a lot for our work and really appreciate clean and well-designed accommodations. Our condo is just that, and it's a pleasure to spend time in, especially with someone you love.

In addition to amenities noted above, our unit has lovely tile floors throughout (with carpet in the bedroom); plantation shutters on wood tracks; ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom; excellent airflow/breeze orientation; a room safe; and easy walking access to the beach, pool, and shopping center across the street with a market, restaurants, shops, and a Starbucks. Free beach towels and chairs available at the Beach Hut; also boogie board rentals there.

Very nice apartment & facility

Kiahuna Plantation is a perfect location for a family vacation. All you need is close by and easily accessible. The apartment is nicely furnished and its kitchen well equipped.

The only quibble I have is the noise from the neighbouring street traffic that you hear in the bedroom. There is a parking lot between the apartment and that street, but the traffic noise still finds its way into the room.

Great family rental

We stayed in August and we loved the place...... we had someone sleeping on the sofa bed pull-out and the bed was somewhat comfortable but the problem being was that there was a huge heavy coffee table made out of marble or stone in front of the bed so that needed to be moved every night and every morning and was kind of a hassle.... also once the bed was out and the table was moved there was not much room in the living room to move around.. also 1 of the things that were in list of the kitchen supplies we're not there so we found ourselves running out to the store. Also this unit is very close to the main road and in the evening can get quite noisy with the cars and the traffic from the shopping centers..... but it does seem to settle down after 11 p.m. or so... but early in the morning gets busy again and can wake you up. I totally recommend the little coffee shop across the street which has delicious sandwiches coffees salads and fruit bowls it's called Little Fish and opens at about 6 a.m. but is only open until 3 p.m.... make sure to take a walk or drive down to Poipu Beach early in the morning about 7 a.m. you'll see sea turtles and sea lions sleeping on the beach... totally awesome pictures.... also the pool area that we got to use which is directly across the street had a cool little slide and was great for kids.

Lovely lovely

Had a wonderful stay in this unit. The view from the lanai is much better than what is seen in the pictures. Everything was nicely decorated and the kitchen was fully stocked. It is a little close to the main road so it can get a little noisy at night but very moderate just a few cars and roosters. It was nice to be close to the road because the shops and restaurants were very close. I loved this unit and would definitely stay here again.

Great Condo

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and have enjoyed it immensely both times. It is clean, in excellent condition, modern kitchen, comfortable bed, great view, easy access to a great beach, and friendly staff. Mark has been great to work with and goes out of his way to ensure a peaceful, hassle-free stay. The local roosters are noisy, but they are endemic to Kauai, so it does not matter where you stay.

Very clean! Nicely decorated, Easy Island style furnishings!

Kiahuna #107 was perfect for us! We were very comfortable from our first step inside! Great openness, comfortable furnishings & bed. Very clean, cool breezes, airy & ocean view. Everything we needed including a beach umbrella, beach chairs, cooler, & mats. We felt at home! The club had a great yoga class!

Wonderful ocean view condo

We enjoyed a very relaxing week. The large patio was terrific for relaxing with coffee in the morning and winding down with a glass of wine in the evening. It was fairly private and the view is better than the pictures show. The unit was clean and well equipped. If you like to cook some meals there just bring your own spices from home and stop for essentials at Safeway along the route (oil, butter etc). We forgot those items so thats why I mention it. Overall terrific stay although I would have gotten more sleep if the roosters didn't wake up so early. That's unavoidable anywhere on the island.
