Asheville has a strong tradition of street performance and outdoor music, including festivals, such as Bele Chere and the Lexington Avenue Arts & Fun Festival (LAAFF). One event is "Shindig on the Green," which happens Saturday nights during July and August on City/County Plaza. By tradition, the Shindig starts "along about sundown" and features local bluegrass bands and dance teams on stage, and informal jam sessions under the trees surrounding the County Courthouse. The "Mountain Dance & Folk Festival" started in 1928 by Bascom Lamar Lunsford is said to be the first event ever labeled a "Folk Festival". Another popular outdoor music event is "Downtown After 5," a monthly concert series held from 5 pm till 9 pm that hosts popular touring musicians as well as local acts. A regular drum circle, organized by residents in Pritchard Park, is open to all and has been a popular local activity every Friday evening.

Awesome cabin just outside of Asheville
No complaints whatsoever. Cabin with nice views in a secluded but not super isolated area west of Asheville. Comfortable, clean, and everything is very New and nice inside.
On top of the cabin itself, Barry is a great guy and if you have any issues he’ll help you out. We got caught in the snow storm and he made sure we were all good, and cleaned up the driveway to make sure we could get out on Sunday
New, beautiful mountain retreat, yet close to all!
A very new mountain cabin with amenities like big screen TV, leather couches, pillow top master bed, stainless steel in the full kitchen, and everything needed to enjoy a relaxing stay either hiking the woods, enjoying a drink on the covered deck, or shopping at the outlet mall nearby. Enka Lake, River Arts District and downtown Asheville are just a short drive. We had a weekend stay in Biltmore Lake area with family that was perfect due to the comfort and ease of our great accommodations.
Beautiful property, beautiful views
This home did not disappoint. Barry was a great host.
New and beautiful location
We have a wonderful time on a girls trip. Plenty of room for hanging out. Comfortable beds. Clean. Very responsive owners.
Great house near Asheville
We stayed at this property for a mother-daughter weekend. The size was perfect and everything is brand new. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the front porch. Great view of the mountains and perfect time of year to appreciate the fall colors. Kitchen was large and had everything we needed. Bathrooms were also large with plenty of towels. Men will enjoy the large TV in the living room. House was also very convenient to Asheville and there is a grocery store just a few miles away. The owner was very responsive, notified us when property was ready, left us fresh-baked cookies and checked to be sure we arrived safely and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our weekend! Thanks!
Great little getaway!
Super clean and the host I accommodating yet discreet. Will stay again!!!
