Black Bear Cabin is lovingly owned, cleaned, and maintained by us, not a cleaning company. The cabin is tucked into the woods of Martin City, Montana just 9 miles from the entrance to West Glacier National Park and 18 miles from Whitefish! Enjoy the trees and wildlife away from the noise of traffic. Self-check- in with door code! This cabin is available year-round and is a wonderful summer or cozy winter hideaway. Master bedroom: king size bed /medium soft mattress. Bedroom #2: queen size bed /medium soft mattress. Bedroom #3: Bunk bed with full size on bottom/single on top. Wii gaming console for your enjoyment. Kitchen is fully equipped and leads to a back deck for enjoying meals and a propane grill. We provide 1 can of bear spray for you to borrow on your hikes! And coolers for your use. If you are renting in winter, we have a cozy pellet stove with pellets provided.
Contactless check-in. Your personal door code and directions are sent to you automatically 3 days prior to your arrival.
Pets are NOT ALLOWED. We thank you for adhering to our no pet policy. We do live on the property, however we give you privacy to enjoy your visit. We are available if you have questions or need suggestions for your visit to Glacier and surrounding area. There are two outdoor cameras at Black Bear that point over the front lawn towards the parking spot. Cameras are only used in the event of an incident.

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin is in close distance to the West Glacier entrance, restaurants, and shopping. Great communication with Duane and since the cabin was ready, he was flexible in letting us arrive a little early with our newborn we were traveling with. The cabin is so clean and has everything you would need. Also comfy pillows and bed which I appreciate! Would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect location, clean and cute cabin with everything you need. I would suggest a better bed for the bunkbed room. The mattress was flat and hard. It would be ok for kids but tough if you have more than 4 adults. Thanks for the great stay

Best Place to stay in Montana

We enjoyed our stay at Black Bear Cabin. It had all the sufficient things that we needed and the host is just awesome. We would love to come and stay again if we are visiting Montana.

We had a great stay, lots of room in the cabin and great proximity to west entrance to Glacier. Wish we could have stayed longer! So peaceful, comfortable beds, great kitchen. Highly recommend!

Wonderful place

What a great place to stay, plenty of room, clean, fantastic bed. All the amenities down to a hair dryer. Loved staying here while we enjoyed the area around Glacier. Would definitely recommend to others and return for another stay.

My husband, sister in law, cousin and myself stayed at the cabin. I wish I could give them a score higher than a 5. The cabin was immaculate and decorated so cute. Everything we needed was right there, including walking sticks! The location was great- grocery store close and close to the west entrance of Glacier Park. We loved grilling out on the patio and enjoyed our morning breakfast out there too. The directions were perfect and we had no problems finding the cabin. We will definitely come back .

This Vrbo was very clean, really close to the west end of the park (about 15-20 minutes), and was in a really convenient location to other nearby towns. We stayed here for 8 days and had an amazing time. The owners were very quick to respond to questions we had, as well

Lovely Cabin

Cabin setting is in a very private setting and close to the park. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Efficient and clean. Would definitely stay here again if I return to Glacier National Park.

We have a long family history of living and adventuring in the West Glacier area. We purchased 40 acres in Martin City in 2017 and are pursuing our dream of creating a farm homestead. Currently we raise a couple pigs and a dozen or so chickens. The animals are a safe distance from the cabin so don't worry about a rooster crowing or any animal smells. We also own and operate Beargrass Lodging & RV Resort, 3 miles from this cabin.

Why they chose this property

Many rental properties in this area are right off the highway and have traffic noise. Our property is quiet, secluded, and you will not see or hear traffic. There is an occasional train in the far distance.

This property is cozy in the winter time with a pellet stove and pellets provided free of charge. The driveway is fully maintained and plowed for ease of access. You will need AWD or 4WD in the winter to access the property.
