About this property

Views+, Spacious Home, Hot Tub, Ski/Hike/Golf, base of the CO Nat'l Monument!

You will love staying at the base of the Colorado National Monument in our wonderfully comfy and well-stocked 3100 sf home that sleeps 10. It is on a 2-acre lot, has incredible 360-degree views, a hot tub, and is a great value!

Tucked away in the Redlands community of Grand Junction you will find our spacious house with room for everyone to spread out. It is across the street from the Tiara Rado Golf Course, within walking distance to many hiking and mountain biking trails, the Colorado river, and is a short drive to Powderhorn Mountain Resort for skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing.

THE SPACE
Views, views and more views and nearly every window has one! We have wildlife that visits daily, including many deer and rabbits. The kitchen is well stocked with quality items and appliances, sharp cutlery, plenty of pans, spices and oils. The house is organized with two large bedrooms on each wing (four bedrooms total) which are separated by the common area. There is a large 4K TV and gas log fireplace in the living room along with large windows to take in the views in all directions. There is a warm and welcoming basement with an additional couch, two large reclining chairs, a bar, and a Foosball table. In short, there is space for everyone in a large family or group to spread out. You will have access to a large garage that can be used to store your outdoor gear securely; most commonly mountain/road bikes or river gear. The home has been decorated by a licensed interior designer. The yard as well as the 7-person Sundance hot tub are professionally maintained. We hope you love our home and friendly neighbors as much as we do.

A reasonably low base price per night allows small groups of 5 or less to rent such a large home at an affordable rate. For groups of 6 or more, there is a $50 per day per person additional fee to help accommodate for the additional operating and cleaning costs associated with larger groups.

GUEST INTERACTION
If we could live there right now, we would. This house is a dedicated vacation rental that is managed by it's owners, Fred & Elaine, and a dedicated co-host, Christy, who will do nearly anything to make sure you have a wonderful and pleasant experience. The home is cleaned thoroughly after each rental. Access to the home is by a unique smart lock code that will be valid during your stay and is provided about two weeks prior to arrival via your VRBO online account for this particular reservation. We constantly strive to improve our home and the guest's experience. We will do just about anything to accommodate your needs so please don't be shy about asking what we can do for you!

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The neighborhood consists of several homes, each on 2+ acres of land that back up against 20,000 acres which make up the Colorado National Monument. It is across the street from a beautiful golf course and within a few minutes drive to the Colorado river as well as many hiking and mountain biking trails. There is no through traffic on the road and it is quiet and peaceful all day and night long. The home is located within a short drive to all the amenities you would need, including the downtown area for any wanted nightlife. There are MANY hiking and mountain biking trails close by. Fruita, CO, most known for its incredible access to world-class mountain biking trails, is only 10-15 mins drive away. Nearby Moab, UT also has an impressive offering of hiking, mountain biking, and Jeeping trails. If you are looking for day trips for skiing/snowboarding then consider Powderhorn Mountain Resort as the closest option, which is 38 miles from Grand Junction. Telluride, Aspen, and Vail are further away at 126, 128, and 147 miles, respectively.

HOUSE RULES

Fabulous hot tub
The property is exactly as described, no disappointments or surprises. The hot tub is the best we've had over several VRBO rentals, spacious and well maintained. The house is very comfortable and well appointed with views of the Colorado Monument, easy driving to downtown Grand Junction and Fruita for lovely meals and activities. Home was cool throughout our stay in the height of summer, swamp coolers worked well despite the heat. Daily deer visits in the yard were a wonderful treat.

Wonderful House in a Great Location
We enjoyed our stay at the Redlands home. The house resides in a quiet neighborhood with wonderful mountain and cliff views. Deer (bucks, does and fawns), rabbits, quail and other animals visited the yard daily. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were well equipped for our stay. Grand Junction (downtown shops & restaurants) and Palisade (fruit orchards & wineries) are within a short drive from the house. The house is centrally located to allow for trips to many US treasures (Colorado National Monument, Grand Mesa National Forest, Black Canyon of The Gunnison National Park, Curecanti National Recreation Area, Dinosaur National Monument and Arches National Park). We left the house rested and relaxed. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

Magnificent setting
This VRBO is in a setting that is outstanding, both for its surroundings and for convenience. It is in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of open space. We were visited by bunnies and by a doe mule deer. The house accommodated our group of seven adult family members ranging in age from twenty-four to eighty-four nicely.

Best setting!
What a great find! Couldn’t ask for a better setting, right up against the beautiful rocks of the monument. The house had everything we needed. Our teenage granddaughter loved the hot tub. We enjoyed the patio and ate all of our meals outside. Our house we’re extremely responsive and wonderful. I would highly recommend staying here. And It was nice to drive such a short distance to the monument and all the hikes we planned to do!

Beautiful property
This place was beautiful with stunning views from every window and door! The hot tub was perfect after skiing all day as well as a great way to start your day. This house was perfect for our family. The only thing I would recommend was them putting a television in the game room/bar because there is only one tv in the house and when you have teenagers, they don’t necessarily want to watch what the adults are watching. Other than that, this house was perfect and we will be renting again next year.

We stayed here while visiting Grand Junction and Colorado National Monument. The home is in a great location and very spacious with plenty of bedrooms. Fully stocked kitchen, toiletries and plenty of towels which was appreciated. Automatic blinds made it super comfy and the fireplace was very cozy.
