Our area has recovered and is welcoming visitors!!! Lenoir, Boone and Blowing Rock are open, as is the Section of the Blue Ridge Parkway in our area (from Blowing Rock to Grandfater Mountain/Beacon Heights).
Get away, unplug, and recharge at this unique stream front home. Nestled in Historic Happy Valley, between Lenoir and Blowing Rock, lies a captivating three-bedroom cottage that provides a warm and welcoming getaway for your upcoming trip. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by locally crafted hardwood furniture and a fully stocked kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, and all the necessary appliances and utensils to prepare delicious meals. Gather around the dining table and enjoy quality time with your loved ones.

Unwind in the living room, where you can curl up by the propane fueled fireplace and enjoy a movie on the smart TV. The cabin also boasts a washing machine and dryer, ensuring you can keep your clothes fresh during your stay.

Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
A checklist is available in the welcome book to assist with checkout procedures
Wet items should be hung over the tub and not placed in hampers (where they could cause mildew issues).
Trash is to be taken to the local convenience site, unless checking out on Sunday or a holiday, or trash service may be requested for a small fee of 10-20 depending on the amount of trash.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Rental agreement must be thoroughly read and understood. Cabin instruction sent when booking accepted will be read and followed
Although children are allowed, they must be closely supervised at all times and never left alone inside or near the creek.

We loved our stay at the cabin! We were looking for a place that had a creek and it was even better than expected. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved stopping in at the brewery nearby and had pizza and the kids danced to live music. We played and explored the creek for hours.

We love spending as much time at Sweetwater as we can, but until we are ready to make it our full-time home, we love sharing it's beauty and serenity with others.

Why they chose this property

We thought we wanted the typical sweeping mountain view property frequently found in the Blue Ridge, but this piece of paradise is so beautiful, tranquil, and unique that we couldn't pass it up. Besides, who wouldn't want to be in "Happy Valley"?

What makes this property unique

Pictures don't do this property justice. We instantly fell in love with this location when we opened the car door on our first visit. Remote enough to get away from it all yet within a short drive to conveniences and major attractions (closest major grocery store is 16 mins from the front door). Add the sounds and view of Buffalo Creek wrapping around the house, beautiful custom hardwood furnishing, and extremely comfortable mattresses, and you have a little slice of heaven on earth.
