We loved our stay at the cabin! We had such beautiful weather and the property is spectacular for being outside. Mostly we simply relaxed, grilled great meals, made s’mores in the firepit, fished and took the canoe for a couple of short trips. Highly recommend,
Alice W.

Nice and cosy cabin by the river. Perfect for a week-end getaway.
The property on the river was beautiful! Derek was quick to answer questions and check in was easy. There were three of us active older girls having a fun trip to the area. The cabin had a nice great room for relaxing at the end of our busy days. The bathrooms were extremely small and the stairs going down to the lower level (where the 2 bedrooms are) were very steep. My friends said the king bed was comfortable but the second bedroom mattress where I slept was not very comfortable. The inside of the cabin could use some updating as well. The outdoor space is nice and location is very private and secluded!
Cozy, warm cabin. Had a great Thanksgiving weekend with family, meeting there halfway between NJ and SC. Master bedroom lovely. Host was excellent and responsive. Would love to return in spring and summer to walk across the street to the river.
We love this cabin! We’ve been coming to Luray for 7 years now and have stayed in this cabin 5 of the 7 years. Its seclusion, riverfront, great fishing and quiet peacefulness is perfect!
Location is amazing; serene setting, very quiet. The cabin is very well kept, but has age. Bathrooms are VERY tight. Kitchen had updated appliances but the housewares were a bit dated.I would 100% stay here again, but with adjusted expectations. This is a wonderful cabin that is older. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, just appreciate you're stepping back in time.Communication with host was amazing! Very quick to reply. Even helped us within 20 minutes when we locked ourselves out of the cabin.Fishing well...it was fishing. But we saw tons of fish (bass, muskie) swimming. Just hit them at the wrong time of year. Overall outstanding location, great stay, and amazing host.
This was our 4th trip to the cabin. We take our annual girls getaway there every year. The cabin & location are beautiful. Derek is great. I would highly recommend the cabin. We all can’t wait to go back next year.
It was a nice, quiet, cozy cabin. There are a few neighbors but they're far enough away to still have some privacy. We woke up every morning to a herd of deer and group of turkeys in the field across from the cabin. The nights are very quiet and dark, perfect for a marshmallow roast at the fire pit.
That cabin is lovely and has a great view of the river from the deck area. The steps are a bit steep but we didn't have any trouble. The kitchen is very well equipment with plenty of dishes and pots and pans.
We had a wonderful time relaxing and unplugging at this adorable cabin. The views were beautiful and the cabin was very clean. We were near lots of hiking trails but yet close enough to town for restaurants and shops.
