Elegant, fully furnished home completed in 2007 includes an attached garage with a one step entrance. The home is located at a cool 3300 ft elevation in Waynesville, NC in the heart of the Smokey Mountains. The location is ideal - just a 7 min. drive from downtown Waynesville- a small town but a big destination. Magnificent mountain views from the great room, gourmet kitchen, master bedroom, downstairs den, screened porch, open decks- upper and lower, and 3 downstairs bedrooms. The large deck space upstairs and downstairs allows you to enjoy the mountain air and be close to nature. Comfortable deck furniture gives you an excuse to nap, read, or just daydream while sharing the space with the birds.The quietness is awesome as you listen carefully to hear the wild turkeys calling or the sound of a hummingbird . Some guests enjoy the large screened-in porch for outside dining during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And oh yes , the views do not go down with the sun you enjoy looking down the valley at the distant night lights twinkling in the town of Waynesville adding to the magic under the stars. The large gourmet kitchen which is open to the great room is well equipped for the chef . The guests will enjoy being able to gather around the 4x8 ft granite center island to supervise and sample as dinner is being prepared. Dining can be enjoyed on the screened porch, dining room ,or the large island in the kitchen. For grillers , a large Weber gas grill on the deck is two steps away from the kitchen . This spacious home has vaulted beamed ceilings on the main floor . There are 2 stone fireplaces- a wood burning on the main floor and gas burning on the floor below. This home has 4 hi def TV's , a CD player, and Internet. The upstairs great room 45 "TV is high definition with a DVR for recording your favorite shows in addition to a Bluray DVD player for movies . Wifi is available for playing Pandora or accessing your Netflix account , etc. .

Our Wayneview home is all about location, location, location, luxury, and view. Once you arrive at our home, you will not want to leave even though the easy access and proximity to amenities will offer you the option. Hiking trails are too many to mention and the Blue Ridge Parkway plus Lake Junaluska with it's 2 mile walking path are located about 5 miles from our home. Even a hike up the road from our home can be quite invigorating . This home is easy to escape to and yet secluded and private. We have attempted to furnish our home with everything you will need to make your vacation complete- without having to pack everything you own. Our furnishings are first class not second hand . We want our guest to be pampered, spoiled, and feel their vacation is very special and memorable. Our property manager is located a few miles and available to assist you as needed. Wake up to the majesty of the Smokey mountains where God and beauty come together .The linens are upscale and comfy. Each of the 4 bedrooms has a king size bed with an en-suite bath for your privacy . The mattresses on these king size beds are so comfortable that they beg you to oversleep.The master bedroom located on the main floor has a new upscale mattress just added in late 2016. Shopping, golf, and gourmet food can be an added benefit to being in this location as well. Laurel Ridge Country Club golf course is only a mile away with several other courses close by. And, just 3 miles down the mountain lies the small village of Hazelwood which has the great Smokey Mtn Roasters coffee shop (with delicious bagels), Haywood Smokehouse ( BBQ ), Bookstore, Vale 243 Italian Restaurant, Beach Mtn. Diner , a high-end soap shop, etc . For additional shopping and restaurants, you will be only 8 minutes away from Waynesville - a lovely, little artsy town full of restaurant's and neat shops. A trip to Asheville is approximately a 35 minute drive and 40 minutes to the Biltmore House & Village. Before I forget , we are sorry but (we are not able to accommodate motorcycles or 3 wheelers in this community) . While enjoying this home , please take time to smell and pick the flowers in the lovely garden. Sometimes growing there you will even find fresh herbs for your chef.

This lovely home was ideal for my family of 8 when we vacationed in Waynesville over the 4th of July. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfortable and each bedroom had its own bathroom. The view from the screened-in porch was breathtaking. This was a top notch rental experience!

Perfect for a Girls' Getaway

This beautifully appointed, comfortable home was perfect for a girls' getaway with my three BFFs. Each of the lovely four bedrooms has its own bathroom with every amenity one might need for a weekend away. The kitchen also was very well stocked. The views from this home are amazing and we're looking forward to a return trip in warmer weather when we can relax outside on the many porches. Having a garage to park in was a huge plus, as was being so close to Waynesville.

Private paradise only minutes from civilization

The home is spotless, spacious, well equipped and oh, the view! It can be difficult to tear yourself away from the screened porch but there is so much to do in the area. Wonderful hiking trails, great little shops and restaurants are only minutes away in the charming town of Waynesville. The owners are extremely helpful and efficient. We have rented many vacation properties and this one is at the top.

Great place for a friend trip

We travelled with 3 couples and the house was perfect. The rooms were beautiful and they each had their own bathroom which was amazing! The house had everything we needed and more. The house was just as advertised. The views from the porch (upstairs and downstairs) were perfect and the sunrises were breathtaking. We truly enjoyed our time there and would definitely book again. More than expected

What a wonderful week we had in the mountains above Waynesville. The view is absolutely beautiful and the home is in fabulous shape with every possible amenity. I can't think of a single thing I was looking for in the entire house that I didn't find and it was ALL of top quality. We played golf just down the hill and went back a second time because it was in such good condition and the staff so very friendly. We are looking forward to returning to this restful, comfortable and beautiful home.

Family Wedding

My husband and I along with our two adult children and their significant others as well as my 91 year old mother-in-law stayed here for our nephew’s wedding. It was perfect for us. My mother-in-law stayed in the main floor bedroom so she didn’t need to climb any stairs. The rest of us stayed in the 3 lower level bedrooms. Each bedroom had a king sized, comfortable bed and its own bathroom with plenty of counter space. The decor was nice with enough comfortable seating and the views were beautiful! Couldn’t have asked for a better set up! The road was windy and narrow to get there, but that’s a small price to pay for that view!

Fabulous Mountain Retreat

We are 5 women in our 50s and 60s who stayed here for our annual hiking trip. The house was as advertised -- luxury, upscale, relaxing, quiet, and more. We prepared meals 5 of the 7 nights at the house. The kitchen was well appointed; had everything we needed. Ate on the screened in porch. Watched the gorgeous sunrise and enjoyed sunsets on the deck. Hiked in the Smokey Mountains and Pigsah National Forest. Spent a day at the Biltmore and walking around Asheville. The property owners made sure we had everything we needed upon arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.

Amazing

This house is Beautiful. My Family was very impressed with whatever they needed for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner, it was there. The birds entertained us everyday eating their food. We were there to scatter my Husband and Son who passed away, which we did. It was Beautiful. Ann is such a sweet person and very helpful with renting such a Beautiful home. The road up was a little scary at first especially since we live in Florida with flat land, but after a trip or two we were pros. Thank you again Ann for helping me and my Family enjoy what we came to do. And we got some very nice pictures at the house, and the view , also Thanksgiving morning early, about 8 Turkeys came by the house. Loved the beds and bathroom in each room so we had our privacy. Truly home away from home

I would like to start by thanking Ann and Hollis for sharing their wonderful home. We spent an unforgettable Thanksgiving vacation at their property, and we could not have asked for more. Communications were great, location and views were amazing, and home was wonderful. The home is very spacious and has everything you could possibly need. There is plenty space to gather for a nice dinner or game night, yet enough privacy when you want to relax and spend some time on your own. There are plenty of supplies, anything you could think of is there. Proximity to town, local attractions and hikes is great. All in all, it is the best you could find. We truly felt at home from the moment walked in! Thank you again!

Home — not vacation home

This home and host couple are fantastic. The warmth of the home is so welcoming it does not feel like a “vacation home” even though it is well provisioned for its guests. We stayed with our 2 teen boys and married daughter/son in law and 1 yr old grand baby and it was perfect with everyone having their own bathrooms and “space” but also a great family room and kitchen for all being together. I give the view from the house a 8/10 with the sunrise being absolutely gorgeous. All the furniture and beds are very comfortable, everything was clean, the home was perfectly provisioned and the instructions were very clear for everything. The host and property manager were very attentive even though we needed absolutely nothing fixed or attended to while we were there. We will definitely stay here again when we take all the kids together. We loved Waynesvulle also!

Relaxation at its finest!

My parents, 3 siblings and spouses, take a special trip each year. We do this mainly because one sibling lives several states away and we only see them at Christmas each year otherwise. So, you can imagine how special this time is for all of us. It was great to have such a wonderful home to spend our time in! We were all pleased with the comfort level. The home itself is beautiful and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was one of our favorite spots. We did a lot of cooking and were very pleased to find everything we needed at our fingertips. The quality of appliances and furnishings were high above any other rental property we have ever experienced. The large 4' X 8' island was perfect for 8 people to gather around to cook, share, and eat. We appreciated that things were labeled (light switches, coffee maker, ect...) this made things simple. I was glad that there was a luxurious master bedroom on the main floor with all other main living space. This meant my mother didn't have to climb any stairs. The 3 extra bedrooms with king size beds and full baths downstairs were perfect for the rest of us. The family room was spacious enough for all of us to hang out and there was a separate den downstairs if anyone wanted to spread out. The lower deck provided gorgeous mountain sunrise views from 2 bedrooms and the den. You can kick back in a rocker and enjoy the sunrise or the twinkling night lights of Waynesville. The upper deck reached from the master bedroom across the family room to the kitchen. Perfect! The screened in section with eating areas was great. Having the gas grill directly out the kitchen door made cooking a breeze. We spent part of our days shopping in downtown Waynesville. Great shops with lots of culture. Wonderful cafes and coffee shops available. Enough there to spend an entire day (and your entire wallet!) We visited some wonderful waterfalls. The drive itself was an adventure! There were many stops along the way, places to climb down to the water, a sliding rock area, and the big falls area that provided adventure and great photo opportunities. We could have easily driven to Asheville or Maggie Valley (30 minutes) but we were enjoying your home so much we just wanted to hang out there! Thank you for thinking of everything (even the rules! which are common sense!) to make our stay comfortable. Thank you for sharing your home and we hope to make this a repeat destination.

Thanksgiving Tradition in the Beautiful Smoky Mountains

Beautiful, warm and comfortable home that did not disappoint and the fall decorations were great! Everyone enjoyed their private king bed/bath with plenty of room to spread out together. The kitchen was a dream with all the amenities we needed to prepare our meal and the view was spectacular!

Amazing!

We spent 6 days in the home and did not want to leave. It was our first girls trip to North Carolina and it did not disappoint. The home is spacious, comfortable, and the views were exceptional with the fall color. The town of Waynesville has great shopping, restaurants and the Apple Fest was an added bonus! Our only issue was Google Maps took us to the wrong address. We flew into Greenville, SC and drove to Waynesville on a Friday afternoon. It took us three and half hours to drive 83 miles with traffic and getting lost. We will be flying into Asheville for our next trip! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home, we look forward to returning.

Excellent property tucked away in a mountain side overlooking the valley below. Very clean!!!

Owners were easy to speak with, helpful in any way necessary. The home is couple friendly, each room with a spacious bathroom and king bed. It’s easy to rest and relax and enjoy nature on the mountainside screened porches.

We are an active couple who enjoy luxury. Hollis sells real estate on beautiful Kiawah Island, SC . Ann is a retired nurse who is now a tour guide in Charleston, SC. (charlestonwalkingtourswithann.com) . Things we enjoy include traveling around the world and staying at places that are upscale with good locations. We enjoy the outdoors and yet love the amenities that cities and small towns offer- like great restaurants, upscale shopping , art, etc . It gives us great pleasure to share our upscale homes in Waynesville,NC and Kiawah Island, SC with folks.... when we are not enjoying them ourselves.

Why they chose this property

In visiting the beautiful mountains of NC we could not find a home with the views, ease of access, and luxuries we wanted. Many places we stayed around Wayneville were so remote that it took forever to reach the home.. once you were off the highway. These remote areas made traveling after dark difficult if not impossible and therefore we found ourselves staying in and not venturing out at night. Many homes only had the basic furnishings and we were disappointed each time. As an example -In the eight homes we rented while building our home, not one of them had wine glasses. We fixed this disappointment "of only the basics" by building and furnishing our home with everything we felt was necessary for the perfect vacation.

Our home was built and furnished with adult guests in mind. Each bedroom is furnished with comfortable king size beds , and each bedroom has an ensuite private bath. The linens , bed coverings, and upholstered furniture are not forgiving fabrics. There are no game tables or outside areas for children to play. In our visits to the NC mountains, we found most homes were equipped to entertain children and while that was not our intent with our home...well mannered children are welcomed.
During the months of Dec, Jan, Feb, and March, our home is not offered for booking. The weather is too unpredictable. We do have a built in full home generator - In case of power failures that can interrupt a fun vacation.
