We had an amazing time in this quaint bungalow. It was so inviting and clean, we felt at home right away. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. We loved having the washer and dryer. Lisa had everything we needed there and was quick to respond to any questions. And being across the street from the beach and the trolly made it perfect for us. We definitely want to return. :)

Peaceful, restful & great beach access

The place is not fancy but comfortable and clean! Great beach access & good area restaurants. Only slight negative was the air conditioners were a bit noisy but cooled nicely.

The best little beach bungalow

We had the best time staying just steps away from the beach! This was the best location with easy access to the free trolley and across the street from beach access. There were beach chairs available and a beach wagon to carry your stuff! We will definitely be booking again!

Great Location

Holmes Beach is charming! The bungalow is an older property and could use some updating. It was a terrific location and about a 2 minute walk to the beach! Lisa was very accommodating as a host and responsive!

No Frill Comortable

Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable with great access to the beach. Our host, Lisa, was very responsive to our needs.

Great location

Property was exactly as described in listing. Very clean, enough kitchen equipment to cook when needed and comfortable beds. Location was ideal—right across from the beach and steps away from the trolley stop. However, no outlets in either bathroom, which made using a blow dryer difficult. Nothing fancy, but would stay again.

Great unit very close to beach

Very nice unit with a 90 second walk to beach. Very easy short walk. Unit was very clean and great water pressure in both showers. Unit had 4 brand new “Tommy Bahama” style low beach chairs with arm rest / pockets and head pillow. Great and easy communication with unit manager. We loved everything about this unit and location and hope to return. Weather, ocean and food was all excellent.

Nice Improvements

Super new beach chairs - thanks so much! New Air conditioner in bedroom - another plus! Improved plumbing in bathrooms - yeah! Not so good - Kitchen faucet is "stiff" and the spray handle wasn't working. 3 cockroaches... We'll be back next year!

Hi Lin, Thank you for the review. I wasn’t aware of the kitchen faucet and I just had it replaced along with the floor under the sink. As far as the palmetto bugs, I do get the bungalows treated for bugs monthly. My apologies for them being present, but sometimes they still make it in. I hope to see you again next year!

If there was an issue with the plumbing, my guests always can reach out to me. The Bungalows are treated quarterly for any bugs. The air conditioners are not very old and the beach chairs were new in November. The salt air is terrible with anything metal. If you had reached out to me with any of these issues, I could have fixed them. It is sad that you had to give a review like that.

Nice Recovery

Very nice recovery from the hurricaneBest - new beach equipment, especially the cart!New couch & beds, air conditioning in the bedroom, kitchen equipment, proximity to the beach, new washer & dryer. Clean - no bugs! We'll be back!Not so good - Leaking toilet making it unuseable, low water pressure in 2nd toilet. Ktchen drawer pull knob loose,inconvenienced by plumber & cleaning service. Regret to say, the refridgerator is just too small. Also the microwave is wonky. Lisa was great! Very responsive.

Thanks for the review. I appreciate that you return each year. When you told me of the leaking toilet, I got a plumber out there as soon as I could. I don’t think that you were there when he arrived to fix it. I had housekeeping come back to fix what was missed. I would think that it would be appreciated that I got things rectified as soon as I could. The refrigerator is brand new and apartment sized as a full sized refrigerator would take up too much space.

Our family stayed across the street so the proximity to them was perfect. The accommodations were great for us and our 4 and 5 year olds. The bungalow is outdated and could use some touch ups in the kitchen and bathrooms, but was worth what we paid as compared to more spendy places. We would stay again!

Price Friendly Paradise

We are grateful for the amazing opportunity to stay at this property! It was our first vacation in many years and our first to AMI. In the best possible way- if you are high maintenance seeking concierge service and a cabana with poolside attendants- this is not the place for you! There are plenty of places you can find that on the island… If you are seeking a gem of a place to relax with incredible beach access, close proximity to the free trolley stop, decent wifi and cable, clean and quiet- this is a place for you! Yes, the reviews about the loud ac and dated decor are true if you are concerned about that sort of thing… we preferred having the windows open and using the ceiling fans. And if the couch and beds are clean and comfortable, I could care less about the floral patterns or lack there of. The owners are decent humans and to provide a piece of old Florida at an amazing price speaks to the kind of old school down home feel you will get staying here. We didn’t have a car for our stay but there is plenty of parking. The trees are beautiful but you can still get sun sitting on the patio if you’d like and see stars at night if you want without leaving the property. I have trouble walking and having the beach so easy to access was a dream! You walk across a 2 lane street l, and about a block to the sand. There are some benches there and there are beach chairs etc the property owners provide too. We prepared a meal a day during our stay and everything worked well, stove, oven, microwave, fridge, coffee maker… even a washer and dryer are in the unit. We are already looking at our plans for next year :)

White sand paradise!

Great location, perfect getaway. Just steps from the beach. Enjoyed every minute of our stay. Cutest bungalow. Lisa was very prompt with communication. Will definitely book again.

Great location and ambiance

My fiance and I were looking for a place to stay at for an entire week, where we couls telework in the mornings and hit the beach in the afternoon, and this place did not dissapoint. We had the beach at a walking distance, the property was fully equippes with beach essentials for our use (i.e. towels, beach cart, umbrellas, and chairs), reliable internet and all ammenities needed in the house for a long stay. I fully recommend!

Great Location

This unit is very clean and well equipped. Great location for the beach and many eating establishments. Nice area outside to sit and enjoy a meal. Keyless entry is great. We will be returning.
