Welcome to The Studio!

Perched on Tip-Top Hillside, this charming single-story cottage offers picturesque views of Mackerel Cove and the surrounding coastline. Spend your mornings or evenings on the spacious deck, watching the lobstermen navigate the cove, or take a leisurely walk down the wooded path to the shared dock and water's edge for a closer connection to the Maine coast.

Designed with one level living in mind, The Studio combines convenience with classic Maine charm. Step inside to a well-equipped kitchen that flows seamlessly into the open dining and living area, where you can enjoy limited water views, cable TV, and wireless internet. For cozy family or game nights, board games and playing cards are also provided.

The cottage features two comfortable bedrooms, each with ample closet space for your belongings. One bedroom offers a queen bed, while the second has a twin and double bed, perfect for children or extra guests. A full bathroom is located conveniently off the bedrooms.

With its deck, shared dock, and prime location on Tip-Top Hillside, The Studio is the perfect getaway to enjoy the charm and beauty of Mackerel Cove.

The Studio Bailey Island ME

We had a lovely week at "The Studio"! It was very relaxing sitting on the deck. The house has an open airy feel. It is a terrific place for a couple.

Remote hideaway with a lovely view

Nice property, especially living room and deck. Some possible repairs were mentioned to management group. We were visited by wildlife every day, and had a magnificent view of the harbor and ships. Would return again.

Lovely Stay at The Studio

We enjoyed the well-appointed Studio for a weeklong stay in August. The communication from the rental team was accurate and prompt. We encountered a plumbing issue and it was solved (and fixed) within 24 hours. Everything described in the amenities were correct. Missing from the amenity list is the use of a charcoal grill and the coffee machine is a pod-style machine. Nice surprise! We would stay here again.

The Studio

We were very pleased with our home, and the view was amazing. We explored a bit, enjoyed the trail to the Giant rocks,, and had dinner at Cook's. We did have to buy toilet paper (was only 1 roll), and luckily brought a few gallons of water, but had to purchase more as well. Would come again for sure!! Thanks for all your help.

Not as expected

The property inside was some-what clean. However, the bathroom was full of mould and rust and had no window covering. There were NO smoke detectors anywhere within the home. We lost power and had found one or two flashlights with batteries, all other batteries on the premise were dead. When I contacted the property manager they made us feel like we were an inconvenience as they kept telling us they lived “over an hour away”. There is also a door to the master bedroom that doesn’t properly lock and is accessible to other guests or owners from the outside of the property from what we gather.

Nome- I apologize that you didn't find the home up to par. We definitely would have had someone come down and clean if you had reported you didn't find it suitable. The inspectors have pictures in the report that look like it was properly cleaned please feel free to reach out with any specifics. There are smoke detectors one right outside the bedroom and one in the kitchen above the sink. I was actually the one texting with you when there was a power outage. I'm sorry if you felt by me telling you I was an hour away I was inconvenienced. I wrote that once to give you a heads up it would take me a bit and you told me not to worry about it. I go to rental houses regularly it is part of my job but I do like to give people a heads up if it will take me awhile to get there.

Cute cottage but...

The cottage is cute. But we encountered issues: 1. I had a difficult finding the cottage. GPS said destination on the right but the huge shrubs and mini address sign were difficult to see. 2. One bed had no sheets on it. I text the property mgr and sheets and towels were delivered. Thank you. 3. I had the code to the lock but had much difficulty getting into the lock box. Also had difficulty using the key to lock and unlock the door. 4. WiFi was inconsistent. 5. Electric outlets: We tried every outlet and numerous phone chargers but extremely slow or non existent charging. In frustraton tried the electrical outlet in the bathroom which looked like GFI. We plugged a charger in and it didnt trip, but it did fry the charger and the cell phone. I reported this to property manager. No response. Still waiting for compensation for the loss of a Samsung phone and charger. Please advise how we can file for compensation. Thanks so much!

Great island getaway

We stayed at this property a few days ago. It was a great. Had plenty of dishes for cooking use. Do bring your own paper towels and toilet paper and drinking water. Would definitely return.
