Inconsiderate Host and Property Management
I wish I would have read the reviews. There was an extreme amount of construction going on next door which made the property and trip very unenjoyable. The construction began early and ended late so we were woken up early and could not relax at the condo. We had to leave for most of the day and find other places for our child to nap. All in all, we were not able to use the balcony or look out the window at the beautiful beach views we paid up to see because we had to close the blinds as the construction workers were able to see right into the unit as they were on ladders even with the windows/balcony approx five to ten feet away.
On top of this, there was an issue with the locking mechanism on the inside of the door making it impossible to lock from the inside .There was no dead bolt or lock to allow you to lock the door from the inside which made it easy for our child to just walk out the door and fall down the stair(which she did) because there was no way to lock it. This made the condo unsafe in general for all of us as someone could have easily locked us in from the outside with no way to unlock it from the inside.
We contacted the management company several times and after many days and hours of our vacation on the phone they stated it wasn’t something they were required to help with. Essentially, it seems guest safety isn’t a priority for the management company.
Also, the bed frame was broken making the bed extremely uncomfortable to sleep in.
After going back and reading the reviews there were several people who also had an issue with the construction and the bed.
Even when the construction next door is completed we would never recommend this unit to anyone.If the host or management company doesn’t warn you about the construction then what else will they not tell you about next time?
