About Don and Amy MacNair
Amy, a retired office manager and Don, a local landscape architect are long time residents of Sonoma County. The Kenwood House was purchased in 1971 by Don’s mom where he has lived off and on for 45 years. Amy moved to Santa Rosa as a little girl with her family in 1962. We met in 1994 and were married in 1998. We raised our blended family in Santa Rosa. During this time, the Kenwood House was established as one of the original vacation rentals in the Kenwood area. We ran this business continuously for 13 years providing a unique visitor experience and a high level of hospitality. In 2010 we decided to move to the Kenwood House to enjoy this special place ourselves. Now with an expanding extended family, we have moved on. Once again the Kenwood House is available for guests to enjoy during their visit to Sonoma County. When we began this venture, one of our goals was to offer visitors from around the world a unique place to stay while experiencing and enjoying wine country in Kenwood, the heart of Sonoma Valley. It gives up great pleasure to share our home and offer the opportunity for our guests to make their own memories of their stay here.

Quaint, relaxing and in a tranquil neighborhood!
It was a perfect place for a girls weekend. Location and accommodations were perfect. The house is adorable and very well maintained. the owners are very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Thumbs up!!
Wish we stayed longer
Charming little home with everything you need in a great location within walking distance to several wineries. Enjoyed our stay.
The house was amazing for my family. It is rare that a house actually looks better in person than in the pictures and this property certainly did this. Would definitely stay here again.
Really enjoyed the Kenwood House. Great location. Quiet neighborhood. Lovely park across the street. Easy access to wineries. The home had everything you need for your stay. Owners were great to deal with. Would definitely return.
This was our second stay at the Kenwood House and we are already looking forward to the third. We visit family and friends in Sonoma county every December and the Kenwood House is the perfect home away from home. The property is gorgeous! This year the maples still had their leaves and we were surrounded by color out of every window. Also new this year was a fireplace heating unit that added warmth and charm to the living room. The Kenwood House is decorated in a comfortable style with added touches that raise it above a normal vrbo rental: soft lighting, a lovely palette, even a chandelier in the bathroom. It has so many added touches. We love it so much we invite friends and family to come visit in small groups and experience the home with us. Communication is excellent also. Any questions we had were answered promptly. The kitchen has pretty much anything you need to cook a meal and we ate at home quite a bit while we were there. We also enjoyed Salt and Stone, Palooza, and Cafe Citti, all a few minutes drive. For groceries, a quick drive down 12 into Glen Ellen and the Glen Ellen Grocery Store offered staples as well as a deli that provides a salad bar, delicious sandwiches and paninis, and all manner of picnic foods. We highly recommend the Kenwood House and can’t wait to return next year. Thank you, Don and Amy for another wonderful Sonoma County visit!
