Enjoy a true mountain cabin lifestyle and getaway, within walking distance to Mirror Lake and Lake Sequoia and minutes to downtown Highlands.

We love dogs, so we offer your first dog stays free (contact us if you have a 2nd dog for a nominal extra charge - maximum of 2 well behaved dogs). We do ask that dogs stay off beds.

This perfect mountain cabin offers an upscale fully appointed kitchen, sure to delight gourmet chefs, cocktail experts, and appetites. Your kitchen opens to a lovely dining room, which leads to the soaring two story great room, with tongue and groove ceilings and a rustic stone fireplace for those cool Highlands nights. From the great room, step out onto the newly expanded deck with enough room for grilling and dining, as well as a cozy conversation area with a gas fire pit for relaxing with coffee, or a cocktail! A spacious master bedroom with a king size bed, and a fully stocked modern ensuite bathroom, leads to another walkout to the deck. A beautiful second bedroom with a queen size bed and its own nearby full bath, insure the comfort of the main level. The second level adds a large bonus room, queen bed and full bath. Enjoy the 70 inch smart TV which offers over 85 channels on YouTube TV, sports packages, Disney+, and movies galore! This loft is open to the great room and is perfect for an additional living area, sleeping area, and an in-home office if needed. Your perfect mountain getaway is located in the desirable Mirror Lake R2 district, within city limits, and only a few short minutes to bustling Main Street in Highlands. Enjoy strolling and eating your way through this quaint neighborhood or grab your fishing pole or canoe and enjoy the serenity of two nearby lakes and the many waterfalls of the Plateau.

Your Privacy and Protection is Important to us! Free Wi-Fi is encrypted and requires a passcode (found in our Cabin Information Book). We do not distribute or sell ANY of your personal information. We have Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarms on each floor, CO2 Detector, Water Detector, Home Security System with only external camera on the Parking Area, and the Door Entry Lock pin changes immediately with each guest. Our Professional Housekeeper is a stickler for sanitation!

This was a wonderful cabin for our 4 day stay in the mountains. We had everything that we needed and felt like we were home with all of the comforts! This was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay during a vacation in Highlands! The cabin was clean and located in a beautiful neighborhood. We were within 15 minutes of the hikes that we wanted to do and we were within 5 minutes of downtown Highlands, so the location was very convenient! We loved sitting on the back porch amidst the trees in the afternoons. The host responded quickly when I had a question about check out. We would definitely love to stay here again when we visit Highlands in the future!

We purchased this home in 2020 after falling in love with The Highlands and especially the adorable Mirror Lake District. We have added many improvements for year-round use like central heating and air conditioning (not common in many cabins in the mountains), Gas Log push-button fireplace, new landscaping, and expanded private parking for 3 cars.

Why they chose this property

This cabin is a large A-Frame mountain home with a sophisticated twist! The tongue and groove ceilings and wood accents suggest a mountain cabin of years past, while the upscale kitchen, deck, large screen TV with streaming and unlimited selections and furnishings offer the comfort you desire during a getaway. This is a lovely, well appointed home you'll want to return to time and time again.

What makes this property unique

This cabin's location is perfect for enjoying all the Highlands Plateau has to offer. With two lakes within walking distance, a charming downtown with incredible restaurants minutes away and hiking and fly fishing around the corner, you'll have to opportunity to experience everything. At the end of the day, curl up on the expansive deck with the fire pit, a comfy blanket and a glass of wine, and relax under a canopy of stars!
