The place is perfect for vintage lovers, birdwatchers, and fishermen.
Starting with the house - it is full of vintage furniture and accessories, you can literally do a scavenger hunt and try to find an antique kaleidoscope, vintage scales or tobacco pipe chest, authentical collectible model trains and so on. Outside you'll find a roomy backyard fool of birds - ospreys, cardinals, herons, ducks, gees, and those who we didn't identify. As an extra bonus, we've got a huge dock for fishing. But the best part is definitely the host - Emily is extremely nice and super welcoming.
Adorable waterfront cottage
Very adorable waterfront cottage. Was a great location for what we needed. House was well kept, nicely furnished and it was easy to deal with the property owner. Would stay again.
We had a wonderful time. It was the perfect escape. The property was beautiful and comfortable. The host was great; above-and-beyond helpful when we we needed It, but invisible when we didn’t.
NOVEMBER 2019 COTTAGE REVIEW
I think that you should replace the awnings at the end of winter; they are disgusting. Also, you should have someone come in and do a "deep" clean and consider updating and adding some light and color to the front room and dining room.
We did thoroughly enjoy our stay and I would like to come back in the Spring/.
A Cottage That Feels Like Home
This is our second stay at this location. We love the peaceful setting and the views of the river. The cottage has all the amenities a person could want - plenty of kitchen equipment to make meals if that's your pleasure. Emily also provides simple "nice to haves" that other places we've stayed don't - a few basic seasonings in the cupboard, a plentiful supply of K-Cups for the Keurig coffee maker, paper towels, and baggies and foil for the kitchen.
There is plenty of extra bedding and pillows, and the towels are good sized and fluffy and soft. We love that there is a full-sized washer and dryer so that we don't have to pack as much.
Emily is so great with accommodating changes and being available if anything is needed. This is definitely our "go to" place when we visit Maryland.
Annapolis is 20 minutes, Baltimore 30 minutes and Washington DC 50 minutes away.

Emily Mitchell purchased this House in 1988
Why Emily Mitchell chose Pasadena
As a water lover on the Chesapeake Bay, my husband discovered this home while boating on the river. Falling in love, he bought the home and and called it home until 1995 when he purchased the home next door. Both have been lovingly restored and cared for throughout the years providing a quiet respite for guests.
What makes this House unique
Both of homes are next to each other creating a large property that provides privacy. Additional guest rooms can be offered in our home to offer accommodations for additional guests and/or family members. Two docks and plenty of gardens for all to enjoy.
