About this property
Hickory Creek Hideaway - A cozy mountain cabin
Rustic and fully renovated 1910 log cabin on almost an acre w/ peaceful babbling creek just outside our back door. Bring the whole family to Hickory Creek Hideaway! Plenty of room to spread out inside & out. This charming cabin & property is perfect for families, romantic getaways, or just a quick escape to the mountains. Located 25 mins from Asheville & a quick few mins drive to popular Conserving Carolina hiking trails, Chimney Rock & beautiful Lake Lure, this adorable cabin is the perfect location to enjoy all of gorgeous WNC!
Our family bought this cabin to share the mountains & all of the many hiking & biking trails it has to offer with our family and friends! The first floor has a large living room w/ original wood burning fireplace, kitchen w/ table for 8+, bedroom w/ king bed that shares a full bath w/ a queen bedroom. There is a centrally located 1/2 bath and a full washer/dryer just off the shared bath. The main level also boasts a cool bar and rec room w/ air hockey table, dartboard and a vintage record player w/ plenty of vinyl to entertain many musical tastes. When you come up the stairs, you'll find a large room w/ a queen bed, twin bed & another twin (day) bed w/ a full bathroom. Decorated with lots of local art & comfy decor, we hope you feel right at home in our space. The kitchen is fully stocked for plenty of cooking, along with a new outdoor gas bbq grill. The back yard with a fire pit and flagstone patio w/ table for 8 sits right next to Hickory Creek under a canopy of trees & is the perfect place to relax and take in the sounds of nature! The patio also provides a perfect view of the northeast sky for nighttime stargazing. You'll also enjoy the delicious spring-fed water and cooler summers w/ few mosquitos at 2700 feet elevation! As the name says, meander down the trail and over the bridge to find a special hideaway spot at the back of the property. If you're feeling adventurous, bring your tent and camp out under the stars next to the creek! A hammock is provided & hooks are just past the bridge on the right to enjoy relaxing by the stream. For our artistic, creative & imaginative guests, our property also has an original Fairy Garden, where it has been said many fairies visit regularly.
We provide a bundle of firewood with some fire starter sticks as our gift to you to use indoors or at the outdoor fire pit.
Thanks for visiting! We hope you feel relaxed & at home & make many lasting memories at Hickory Creek Hideaway!

What makes this property unique
Having a septic system means certain things need not go down the drains & toilets. Please be mindful to NOT allow feminine products, coffee grounds, fats/grease & oils, paper towels, even “flushable” wipes, etc. Toilet paper is fine. Even though we have installed a disposal, please use strainer in sink when possible. We appreciate this in advance.
During warmer months, garbage cans will be in garage to keep bears, etc from getting in it & making a mess to clean up. Be sure to keep garage door closed especially at night to avoid any problems. Thanks!
We are happy to announce that we now provide high speed internet at the cabin!
