About this property

At Casa de Koehler, you and your friends and family will feel like you are at your own little hotel or spa. The house was designed with outdoor activities and entertaining in mind. We are located about three miles from Cabo and about one-fourth mile up from the water's edge in a development called Villa Serena.

The 3900-square-foot house(with additional 2000-square-feet of balcony) is split level , so there is privacy between sections. The property is actually 2 lots , one has the Casa, The other is the pool, palapa, v ball etc.,which equals out to plenty of space for your outdoor living, recreation, and entertaining.

The tropical-style pool has a jacuzzi that spills a sheet of water into one end. There is a soaking cove and swim-up bar with six submerged stools and a huge overhanging palapa roof to keep you cool while sipping your Margaritas. The palapa has a full bar, built in couch, dart board, table and chairs.

Near to the pool is a 48' built-in gas barbecue shaded by a rustic-style bamboo roof. Enjoy your dinners in this charming outdoor atmosphere. There is also a large sand area with a gas firepit in the center.

The upper portion of the property has a full-size sand volleyball court that has two large palm trees that hold up the net. The property has fruit trees, palm trees, and cactus to give it a tropical, desert feel.
Please Note: Although Casa De Koehler provides a private setting for the perfect Cabo San Lucas getaway, we are located in a peaceful residential community. We politely request that guests and visitors remain respectful to our neighbors during their stay, and refrain from excessive after hour noise and overtly public adult activity on the property and within the neighborhood of Villa Serena.Minimum age for the responsible person present is 30 years old.

Guys Weekend

What an amazing place. We had so much fun, and the house was awesome. Everything was clean and the beach volleyball court was a great touch. Thank you we enjoyed every second.

Spacious Villa

Each of our 3 families had separate living spaces which made it very comfortable for all 12 of us. The pool was too cold for the younger children but the hot tub was a hit. The property could use some updates but all in all we enjoyed our stay. The highlight was Manny who prepared 3 evening meals! He prepared kid-friendly meals and adult gourmet fare. An absolute treat! Definitely hire him if you stay.

Great Stay!

Super easy location from the airport and worked well for our group of 11 with children. Plenty of spots for alone time and to hang out together with family. Manny, the chef, was excellent and very accommodating! Highly recommend Manny as part of your trip!

Wonderful multi generational home

Loved the multi level layout and combination of privacy and connections at the pool area. 3 individual living spaces, amazing daily housekeeper, Francisca, and Jorge met us and responded quickly to a minor pool issue. Would stay again. It's in a gated complex so a car ride to groceries and a walk to a small beach. Villa Serena restaurant is walkable and delicious.

Beautiful, spacious, safe property

The property was just as advertised with plenty of room. The security for the neighborhood is also top notch. The owners were also extremely easy to communicate with and provided a highly qualified manager and excellent cook (thanks Manny!).

Highly recommend

Great location and great house. Only things to be aware of include: hot tub not easy to start, have cash only to pay Manny the chef, it’s expensive getting to/from places via van rides. Group of 11 cost $240 rountrip to/from downtown Cabo. Otherwise I give it a 5 star rating. Javier was very helpful.

A perfect private family resort

This is the perfect house for a big group that enjoys being active. We were ten people ranging in age from 11 to 78 years old. The accommodations were two master bedrooms with ensuite baths on the main floor, downstairs a two room "apartment" with two queen beds in one room and a king in the other and a "studio" with a king bed in one room and a queen sleeper in the other. Both downstairs units had their own baths and kitchenettes. The kitchen on the main floor was very well-equipped and the dining and family rooms were very comfortable. The thing that makes this property distinct is the large amount of outdoor space: there is a very large palapa with a dart board, bar, frig, and lav. Also, a pool and hot tub with views out to the ocean, great for whale watching. The full-sized sand volleyball court was particularly popular with our group. There are decks with lovely views and nice breezes everywhere. In the evenings, we sat around the firepit enjoying our nightcaps. All of this and the convenience of being close to grocery stores and many restaurants as well as the town. The owners were very responsive and easy to work with. We had a wonderful vacation!

Great Place For Extended Family To Get Together

We normally stay in resorts when coming to Mexico but decided to rent this Villa so we could then invite extended family down for the holidays. The layout of the home worked perfectly for our large group. There are three separate "casitas" where groups can have their own unique space while still being in the same location. The large open kitchen/living space worked perfectly for our large family dinners. We paid for Manny, the chef, to cook for us six nights. Manny was extremely nice and easy to work with. He made special vegetarian options for those who could not eat the main course. Manny also went out of his way to make a special birthday dessert and decorate for a birthday night we had. Jorge, the house manager, was very responsive and kind. He met us there for check in and took care of anything we needed before and upon arrival. The housecleaner was a great bonus as it was nice to have clean bedrooms and common spaces each day. The home has nice views but you do have to walk to get to the water/beach. It was a bummer not to be able to be right on the beach to listen to the ocean constantly, but the tradeoff was that we had a great villa that really met everyone's needs. Our group consisted of grandparents in their 70's, adults in their 50's, and then young adults ages 17 up to 22. We got a lot of use of the pool and hot tub, as well as the pool chairs for lounging. We played some beach volleyball but the court is not sand but instead some type of small gravel mix. That was a bit tough on people's feet. There is a ping pong table that got some use. We played a lot of cards. There are lots of good outdoor patio sets and chairs and tables to hang out at. The owners were very responsive and we had a great experience overall.

Casa de Kohler is a great house for adult getaway

We had a group of 10 ladies stay for 4 days, there was plenty of room and privacy. Property is beautiful and feels very private. We enjoyed walks to the private beach (easy 5 minutes, disclaimer we are all very active with no health issues) which we literally had to ourselves every time. The pool, hot tub, volleyball court, ping pong table, and bar were well-maintained and provided lots of fun. Felt very safe. Definately recommend coordinating with the house manager (jorge), he was easy to work with and stocked the fridge for us. Seriously the best part was the private chef Emmanuel, highly recommend! We had delicious breakfasts and dinners every day. It was sooo nice to not have to worry about groceries or cooking. Easy access to Cabo San Lucas via private shuttles (did a sailing trip one day) and the airport. Already wanting to book the house again!

Perfect for a large family

We stayed at Casa de Koehler for a family member’s wedding in Cabo. Our stay couldn’t have been more comfortable. Jorge, the house manager, took excellent care of us during our stay. The property had everything we needed to make our stay relaxing and comfortable. Plenty of space in the common areas to enjoy your time together as a family, but we had individual spaces to go and relax. We would highly recommend this property for a large group. Thank you to the hosts for an excellent stay.

Beautiful

Our stay in Casa de Koehler was lovely. The property was huge and the set up perfect for multiple families or families with older children. The three separate living spaces were perfect for our group. The kitchen was nice and well stocked with everything you need to cook as little or as much as you like. We hired Emmanuel 3 nights to cook for us. His food was amazing! Communication was easy before our arrival through What’s App. Our favorite meal was the night Emmanuel cooked the Mahi Mahi the guys caught the day before. He prepared an excellent appetizer and main course using the fresh fish. All three nights we were served so much food. We certainly didn’t walk away hungry! The house is close to grocery stores and best of all Costco. It’s only a 10 min drive into Cabo San Lucas and 25 min or so to San Jose del Cabo. The neighborhood beach is nice for pictures or lounging around but in my opinion not for swimming. We chose to go to Chileno Bay Beach and Santa Maria Beach. These 2 beaches were only 10 min away from the house and very safe for swimming and snorkeling. The house was well stocked with beach towels and beach chairs for all 8 of us. The pool was very nice. But, it was a huge disappointment for us to find out the hot tub was not functioning properly. We asked from the very first day to try and get it repaired and working. However, this issue never got fixed and the hot tub was just something we looked at instead of using and enjoying all week. The house was very nice and comfortable. The hot tub was our only complaint.

Heavenly trip to Cabo

This house is fantastic! Our group consisted of a a family of 7 adults. Every couple had their own bedroom and bath- plus there are 3 kitchens!! The neighborhood beach is stunning - but not safe for swimming. You should absolutely book Chef Emmanuel for as many nights as you can - his food is amazing and he is a wonderful host. The pool is a delight and there are plenty of toys. I would give this house 7 stars and Emmanuel 10 if I could!

Wonderful place for family get-together

Casa de Koehler was perfect for a one-week stay for a family of 8 - five adults including one grandma and three almost adult boys. The sleeping accommodations were perfect - lower level studio apt for grandma with king bed, private bath and kitchen; also on lower level, two connecting bedrooms for the boys, one with king bed and the other with two queens, and two king bed rooms main level, each with private bath, for the two adult couples. There are BBQ/grills by the pool and on main level, and a nicely equipped kitchen. We did a lot of cooking and also had the casa chef, Emmanuel, prepare a beautiful meal for us one night with fish the guys caught the day before. Even though there were lots of excursions - boat out to the Arch and beaches, jet skiing, snorkeling, parasailing - there was still plenty of time at the casa pool and playing volleyball, ping-pong and darts. Grandma also enjoyed one of the best massages ever from Dulce Vianey Valencia, who came to the casa. House manager Jorge Caballero took excellent care of us and communication with the owners, Mike and Deborah, was outstanding. This is truly a very special place to stay in Cabo! Best snorkeling - Cabo Pulmo, a wildlife preserve about two-hour drive from the casa, with only living coral reef in the Sea of Cortez. Terrific experience!

We had a great stay with 5 couples. Pool area was wonderful and it was almost like being in your own little hotel. We really enjoyed out house manager and he was very helpful. The house was clean and very well stocked. We lacked nothing. Definitely a fun house and a great location.

Good place for a family vacation

The property was ideal for our family vacation. Great amenities. The hosts were very responsive. Jorge took care of us well. Chef Emmanuel was definitely a plus. He served us dinner every night. Our only issue was that the wifi was not available in all the rooms downstairs. We had infants and could not use the wifi monitors. Also recommend that the hosts have cribs or pack'n'plays. We had to bring ours. In spite of that we had an amazing family vacation. Thanks Deborah and Mike.

Incredible house!

This place was awesome. There were 7 of us total and we all had our own bed, and only two people had to share a room. There's a private beach as part of Villa Serena which is good for swimming and snorkeling. The pool is great and there's loads of other fun things like darts, volleyball, and ping pong. The hosts also have someone come and clean just about every day. The house is close to a grocery store and Costco, close to a easy and reliable covid testing site, and about a 12 minute drive from the marina. There are also a couple great restaurants just a short walk away. I've been to Cabo a few times, and have always stayed at a resort. This house was way better. Hosts were also very responsive, as was the manager. All the stars for this place!

Bachelor Weekend @ Casa de Koehler

Unbelievable experience. The house is exactly as advertised. Lots of space to accommodate a large party. Great pool and hot tub with a stellar backdrop view of tropical greenery and the ocean. We were able to see whales from the rooftop view as well. Jorge the house manager was very helpful with anything we needed and helped us arrange a private chef pretty last minute. The 7-minute walk to the private beach in the neighborhood was incredibly nice and convenient. Next time I'm in Cabo, this is where we plan on staying.

Fantastic birthday celebration!

The property was exactly as described and was perfect for our 5 individuals/couples. All 5 bedrooms have their own bathrooms and have their own privacy. Jorge, the property manager, was so easy to work with and helped make our stay absolutely perfect! He connected us with a personal chef and bartender, massages, and advice on activities. The pool was great and the views were excellent. I highly recommend this property!

The unique benefits to our Casa is that the living arrangements are separated into 3 sections. Not everyone has to be on the same schedule. Also unique to us is that we have 2 lots, one has the Casa and front area, but the other lot has nothing but outdoor living in mind! A Sand Volleyball court, Pool, BBQ, Palapa, Bar, and full mature Fruit and Palm Trees through out the property give it the true Mexican Feel!!
