The Tudor Rose is a picturesque spot that offers both adventure and tranquility. It’s only half an hour to San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, local beaches, and Napa's amazing wine country. And then, at the end of the day, you can return to this peaceful retreat. The shared areas like the living room, kitchen, music conservatory with a grand piano, and downstairs game room are nicely balanced by the more private areas such as the beautiful gardens, personal deck, library, and airy bedrooms. No matter the activity, every family member or friend can find their perfect spot to settle in and enjoy their vacation exactly as they’d imagined it.

The house was perfect for our family. The boys loved the basement game room! The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. Yard was full of beautiful flowers.

Lovely!

We stayed in the house for four nights during my daughter and friends' field hockey camp nearby. The location was perfect, the house is charming (I'm guessing built in the 1910's) and had everything we needed. The kids loved the foosball table as well as walking to the park just a block away. The neighborhood felt very safe with neighbors out and about with kids and walking their dogs. While the kids were at camp, Mom was happy to enjoy the sweet sunny deck at the house or explore the downtown shops and nearby hiking. Communication with Michelle was always quick and clear. Just lovely!

Wedding Destination

The property was lovely! The location was so convenient to our daughters wedding venue in Deer Park Villa in Fairfax My two pieces of feedback are that you have no wine glasses. You have martini glasses and cordials but you really need wine glasses. You are in wine country. And you also need sharp Knives. The knives there are horrible. Otherwise we loved it!

Private & Quaint

Wish we had more time to spend at the residence. We used it as an overnight place only. Nicely docrated. All amenities available. Towels, paper towels, hangers, dish stuff. There is a grocery store pretty close if you need anything. Owner communicated very well and even sent us stuff we left there on accident.

Nice stay at the Tudor Rose

The property and the house were perfect for us. We had no issues. There was an office downstairs that our son comfortably worked in. There are lots of books and games downstairs. Our 2 year old enjoyed putting the discs in Connect Four. Kitchen is fully equipped. I won't go into detail, since everything was described perfectly in the listing. Michelle was friendly and available and provided all the info for checking in easily in an email. Safeway and Good Earth are a walkable distance away. Millennium Playground (and a big park) are 2 blocks away. San Anselmo and Fairfax are cute towns with lots of restaurants and stores. We took a day trip to the Bay Area Discovery Museum, which is great for kids (even non-walkers). Great view of the bridge and we even saw the Blue Angels flying. We will definitely stay here again!

Great family gathering place

Lovely old house in a quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops and groceries. Close to outdoor activities. Luckily we avoided the heat and made good use of the garden.

Awesome Home Away from home, Family and kids friendly

* Great location in a safe, quiet neighborhood, yet walking distance to: a park, Safeway store, Subway Sandwich, coffee shop, small eateries, highways. * Beautiful fenced home * Fully stocked with consumables such as laundry detergent, washing machine soap, dryer sheet * Collection of board games * Dozens of books * Very high quality dishes, silverware is better than our own home * Plenty of towels, sheets, linen * Very clean * Fully stocked kitchen with microwave, oven, electric range * Coffee maker and hot water kettle * Very nice small but private garden, and a deck * Very spacious bedrooms * Four (4) Smart TVs * The Owner / Host (Michelle) is wonderful. Responds very fast and thoroughly We highly recommend this place. This should be the bar that all Vrbo properties should measure up to.

Amazing spot in San Anselmo

Perfect spot, in a brilliant location, especially for families. Two minute walk to the park, beautiful garden and the house is a lot bigger than photos suggest. 100% recommend.

Charming location

Five family members had a great stay at this great location and charming house. It was very close to great hiking and lovely Marin County towns. It is a old house, and we all found the indoor smell musty, especially strong in the studio/game room. Also, the kitchen table -no dining table- only had four chairs, which did not allow us to sit down together. Everything else was great, especially the nice garden around the house, the great views, and the peace and quiet at night. Michelle was great at staying in communication and we left very satisfied.

Nice stay

Parking was confusing. Great Kids Park just a block away! Street numbering made finding it difficult. Needed a:"guide book" with instructions on how to work the thermostat, washing machine, etc. Other than that it was clean and fun to stay there. The host was responsive.

We came for granddaughters graduation! The house was perfect for what we needed. All the amenities we needed for our stay and we were able to be close to our daughter and family in Fairfax. Game room, books, puzzles all were wonderful addition. Michelle was a wonderful host, available if we needed anything. Would stay again, thanks Michelle.

This location was easy to get to San Francisco, Muir Woods, Sausalito. The house was in great and pristine condition. The owner was very easy to get in touch with and offered great suggestions for our group for where to visit and eat. Highly recommend!

Quiet San Anselmo neighborhood

Great location with easy access to San Anselmo. We stayed here to visit San Francisco, Sausalito, and Muir Woods. This location worked out great. Lots of great restaurants in San Anselmo. Quiet neighborhood.

Fully stocked, pleasant home in convenient location

This home was the perfect location for visiting with our CA family members, as well as proximity to conveniences such as shopping and dining. The neighborhood and nearby park gave us a safe environment to do our daily walks. The house was nicely furnished and well stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property manager was very responsive to our inquiries and request prior to and after booking. Would stay there again next time we are in the area.

Charming and Perfect

This was one of the best short term rentals we have ever experienced. Check-in was simple and communication from the manager Michelle was incredible. From her welcoming text messages, to departure we couldn't have felt more at home. Our stay was perfect!
