Beautiful 1 bedroom cottage on Kauai’s northeast side. Lush yard full of fruit trees. Come for an authentic Kauai stay, far from resorts, but close to white sandy beaches and restaurants. Peaceful and lovely, you will enjoy this property and home. Bring your ear buds for the roosters as they are all over Kauai:)

Excellent location - in the country. Very clean and quiet (except for the roosters). Easy instructions. Watched the goat yoga.

Very clean and comfortable cottage with a wonderful view of Kalalea. The listing mentions that there's a 20 minute walk to Aliomanu beach. This is not true. You will need to drive to any destination. We were discouraged from walking in the neighborhood.

We loved having you guys. Yes thank you for clarifying no walk to the beach. We are in a Hawaiian homestead farm lot so not a resort area to walk around. Of corse walk around our 3 acre property and pick fruits very sweet and peaceful but dogs in the neighborhood better not to do it haha.

So much to love about this place! The morning view of the mountains, roosters crowing, comfortable bed. , and great central location! Wish we could have had the time to fit in goat yoga!

Sweet spot with a great location

We had an amazing stay at the Sweet County Cottage. We were looking to get away from the resort life, & this cottage was perfect for us. It was peaceful, quiet, & clean. The views of the mountains were amazing!!! To top it off, our host Kaala was awesome. She is very responsive & extremely kind! We definitely will recommend this cottage to our friends/family & hope to be back soon.

Anahola cottage

If you are looking for a relaxing and calm getaway, then this is the perfect place. Kaala and her mother were welcoming and so helpful. The view of the mountain was perfect. It is a cottage, not a resort. And that was exactly what we wanted. On a clear night the stars are spectacular.

Lovely, close to nature cabin

Overall we loved staying here for our honeymoon! The cabin has a wonderful location in Anahola and is close to many great beaches. The only drawback for us is there were a lot of cockroaches in the bathroom, but it’s the rainforest so to be expected. I loved how many windows the cottage had and how the bathroom felt like an indoor/outdoor experience. The kitchen wasn’t fully stocked but it worked well enough for simple vacation meals. Kaala was a super kind and responsive host. The property was beautiful with lots of mature fruit trees and mountain views. I would definitely consider staying again. Mahalo Kaala :)

Mahalo for these kind words! Yes unfortunately when rain storms the bugs look for warm even if we do quarterly treatments. Even the 1 hotel has to deal with cockroaches and it’s $2500 a night there. We are in the middle of the pacific so something everyone has to deal with. Hope to have you back some day:)

Get away from it all!

We we're very comfortable here for 7 nights. The cottage was just as described. Make sure to close up at night and leave the fans or A/C running. The island roosters are very early risers. Very quiet with all of the windows closed. It could use a few more accessories in the kitchen to make cooking a meal or two a bit easier, a small BBQ would be great also. But, the many varieties of local restaurants made up for this! The Host was very helpful and quick to respond if needed. This is local living if you want to get out in the country. It's only a few minutes to shopping and beaches

We had the pleasure of staying at this truly special property, and while our personal circumstances led us to shorten our stay, I can’t say enough about the beauty of the home — and even more so, the warmth and compassion of the host.The cottage is serene, thoughtfully designed, and infused with a deep sense of peace and healing. You can feel the care that’s been poured into every detail — from the setting, to the decor, to the energy of the space itself. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the noise of the world and reconnect with yourself or your loved ones.But what truly sets this experience apart was the host herself. She was incredibly kind, understanding, and accommodating during a time when we needed it most. Her generosity and grace made a lasting impression, and we are so grateful for her humanity.This is a place — and a host — that radiates heart and soul. We will always carry this experience with us.
