Step back into the 1950's and re-visit old Hawaii with this Anahola vacation rental beach cottage located on Kauai's north east shore. Just steps away from sandy Anahola Bay, this Kaua'i vacation rental beach cottage provides 1,274 square ft. of living space and has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. Sleeps up to 4 guest. We provide beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella and a cooler for your use during your stay. High chair provided for the young ones.

Main Level:
Main bedroom has a queen bed with ceiling fan.
Second bedroom has a twin size bed with a twin trundle for additional sleeping and a ceiling fan.
Window AC in the living room ONLY and portable fans are provided for your comfort.

Full kitchen, complimentary high speed internet access and Smart TV compliments this charming cottage on Anahola Bay. Lower level includes shower and washer/dryer.

Hear the ocean from Hibiscus Hula Cottage. Hardwood flooring throughout; with original refinished wood flooring from the ‘50s in bedrooms and living area! Lull yourself to sleep at night with the ocean sounds.

Take sunset, sunrise or moon rise walks along Anahola Bay and you may even find a glass ball! Whales can be seen off shore from November through April. Swim, snorkel or surf to your hearts content from this cozy beach cottage.

Kalalea Mountain, (featured in the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark) views from kitchen and dining area. Enclosed downstairs shower is great for cleaning up after the beach. Outdoor shower also available for washing off after the beach. Gas BBQ grill, beach chairs, cooler, beach umbrella and beach towels provided.

Non-smoking home. The second home at the back of the cottage shares access via a common driveway. Listor is Owner.

Additional Information:
The shower and washer/dryer are located downstairs. Please note that the shower in the downstairs basement area has a lower ceiling height.
Hawaii’s tropical climate is home to a variety of native insects and island pests. While we take steps to minimize their presence, occasional sightings may occur. These insects are a natural part of Hawaii’s ecosystem, and their presence does not constitute a breach of contract or entitle guests to a refund. Wonderful Stay at the Hibiscus Hula Cottage!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed a wonderful 4 nights at this cottage, with it's fantastic quiet location on the beach! The cottage is very cute and was loaded with everything you need for your stay, including books, games, tons of beach gear. The front porch is a great place to relax, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the wall AC was appreciated! Communication with the Owner was great. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family!

We enjoyed being close to the beach and hearing the waves at night soothing us to sleep. The house itself had kitchen amenities and bathroom amenities beyond expectations. We were able to make a fabulous smoothie in the morning and travel the island or stay at the beach and hang out with the waves. A fabulous place!

The location of the cottage was ideal for exploring the island and many of the beaches both on the north and south side of the island. We also enjoyed the lovely beach across the street daily too! Nice place NOISE

Property well maintained but across street from public beach access. Noise was a problem almost daily .... loud thumping stereos. Acute on weekend all night.

Wonderful little cottage with view

This cottage is well equipped and beautifully decorated with Hawaiian quilt blocks and hibiscus artwork. The kitchen had all the pots and pans we needed to cook our meals. The downstairs shower is fun and we loved the artwork there as well It is great to be able to walk across the street to the beach. The only downside is that some nights there is noise from the beach campground. Overall this house was wonderful. A great place to get away. The owners were responsive and friendly and ready to help with suggestions of where to shop and what to visit.

Interesting and Beautiful

Reviewer Comments: We arrived slightly early without a hitch (besides the car rental) or a problem with owners, maybe an hour. The place was everything we wanted. Old, simplistic and well thought out. We appreciated the cleanliness and the hospitality from Greg and Sue. They really hosted a wonderful stay when the power went out the first night as well as the neighbors. They take care of the property meticulously and are friendly. I recommend and plan on going back if allowed by Greg and Sue. Through strugggles at the park, they continue to guide the brilliance they brought and are bringing to the neighborhood. FYI- It's literally a 20 second walk to the beach! WONDERFUL! Thanks Again,Mike, Flora, & Adam

we loved it

we loved the beach, the house, the quiet. the house was a little bit hot but there is a window unit. there's no shade in the yard but there are trees planted and growing so in a year or two....! the beach is gorgeous, isolated, safe for kids. if anything, the isolation was a little much for our four-year-old, but we'd come back when she's older, or as a couple. owners live behind in a bigger house and are very sweet.

Hula Hibiscus Holiday

My daughter & I had a fantastic 5 day visit to Kauai, the cottage was the perfect home to come to every evening or just hop across the street to the white sand & blue ocean for the day. Super comfortable with all accommodations needed. I will be back again…Mahalo Nui Loa

The property has charming decor, a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, quality linens and towels, and is extremely clean from front to back. Management communications are both timely and pleasant. Mahalo to all of the staff at Garden Island Properties!This cottage's proximity to the beach is perfect. The beach is a very short walk away. Fresh ocean breezes and the sound of crashing waves makes sleeping at the cottage incomparable. We will definitely be returning!

Walking distance from the beach and you can hear the ocean waves from the house. Felt like a local in this residential neighborhood, not touristy at all. The house was very clean and comfortable, excellent bedding and everything you would need in the kitchen. Towels, beach chairs and plenty of soap for your convenience. The owners live close by and are very nice and respectful. Great central location to a lot of other great beaches and shopping. Would definitely rent this place again.

Hibiscus Hula 2-week stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our second enjoyable stay at Hibiscus Hula. The location is convenient, and good except there was some night partying across the street at the beach park, including a shouting altercation which ended before the police arrived. Everything was spotless except for the gas grill. The cooking grate obviously had not been cleaned for a while and was covered with moldy, crusty grease which took some effort to clean and burn off. The kitchen is well equipped except it needs a knife sharpener. Lots of knives but all dull!
