Privacy & Seclusion - Magical Oasis on Creek & Nat'l Forest

Bedrooms 2
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Imagine yourself in the perfect cabin retreat directly on a rushing creek surrounded only by thousands of acres of national forest and hundreds of towering hemlocks.

If you are a nature enthusiast, appreciate complete seclusion and privacy, no other cabins anywhere in sight, this is the place for you.

This is the most special and rare place you will find in the entire area. I have been a realtor in the area for 10 years and have seen hundreds of places in the mountains over the past 30 years.

This place I'm told by anyone who has visited is incomparable to any and is truly a magical place to experience. I have just now opened it up to select rentals so that it remains a very private, undiscovered location.

The cabin is hidden way back in the woods on a rushing branch of a creek that feeds the Toccoa River less than a mile away. You will have your own private access to hiking trails right out of your doorstep including 30,000 acres of national forest & wilderness which surrounds the cabin.

The creek runs throughout the entire property from the national forest with several cascading waterfalls creating a very loud beautiful sound that is heard as soon as you step out of your car & when you enjoy the carefully placed sitting areas along the water, and most specially, lulling you to sleep. Over 1000 feet of the creek is lit up at night for an incredible scene.

There are also perfect campsite areas all along the creek if you prefer to sleep out in nature.

The location is unbeatable. Right in the heart of the most desirable Aska Adventure Area. You can explore some of the many local adventures within a few miles of the cabin.

Kayak or tube the Toccoa River a half mile away or rent a boat or swim in Lake Blue Ridge (5 miles away), mountain or road bike many spectacular trails and scenic rides directly from the cabin (I offer personal guided tours for hikes or rides).

The cabin has all the creature comforts you need. A completely restored log cabin with two extremely comfortable king beds, all new HVAC, state of the art stainless steel appliances, heart pine floors, outdoor kitchen, custom trim moldings, outdoor large fire pit, huge decks overlooking and right on the rushing creek, and a huge stone open fireplace for building large warm fires.

Once you experience the magic of this very unique property, you will never want to leave and will be repeat guests!

About The Owner

I am a realtor in the North Georgia Mountains & love helping others find their dream place in the mountains.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2007

Why The Owner chose Northwest High Country

The Aska Adventure area is a nature and outdoor lovers paradise. The Toccoa River is less than a mile away where you can kayak, tube, fish and swim. Lake Blue Ridge is nearby for boating, rentals available, jet skiing, and swimming. Mountain biking and road cycling is the best you will find anywhere outside of Colorado. It is THE place for outdoor athletics, scenic hikes or solitude.

What makes this cabin unique

The uniqueness of this property cannot be described, it must be experienced. I have been fortunate over the past 10 years to preview hundreds of mountain properties in this area as a realtor, and had my eye on this special cabin for years. I am just now making it available for rentals and keep great care of the place and its surroundings. You will have ultimate privacy. You will not see or hear anyone, just the cascading sounds of the creek, the birds, and the wind.

Perfect mountain cabin!!

  • 5 of 5

This is the cabin you've been looking for! We stayed for a few nights over new years 2017 and absolutely loved the stay. Its a small, 2 bedroom wood cabin nestled deep in the woods on a stream. You feel miles from everything. We made a fire in the fireplace every morning and kept it going all day. When weather permitted, we made bonfires near the stream and sat outside and simply relaxed with nature. The cabin gives you the feeling that you are in another country. Sleep was peaceful on the giant king sized beds, and there were no street lights to keep us up. We enjoyed coffee each morning watching the fog roll through the woods while listening to the soothing sounds of the stream. There is plenty of hiking to do right outside the cabin and within a short drive in almost any direction. Do not pass this cabin up! I recommend that you bring good books and dvd's with you for late night; otherwise, just sit back and relax. This is a cabin we will definitely return to very soon.

The Owner (Greg) could not of been more helpful. The cabin and surrounding area was fantastic.

  • 5 of 5

Greg was fantastic to work with. The rental process was very quick with no hassles.

The area and valley the cabin sits in was more beautiful than the pictures. If you want to get away from everything yet be close to town for shopping and restraurants this cabin is for you. You can step right out the back door and have several miles of federal forrest area to explore. You also are only miles from several state parks that are great for hiking and exploring. Next time we are bringing the Jeep to explore the many off roads that exist around Springer mountain.

We would recommend Greg's cabin and surrounding area without hesitation.

Beautiful, quiet, cabin on rocky streamlet

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful, well-kept and well-equipped cabin. Great host. Very private. The sign on the trail just beyond the cabin says a lot: "foot traffic only." This is the last place you can take a car to. The deck over the tumbling stream is perfect for evening relaxing and morning quiet with the sound of water cascading over the rocks. Couldn't have been more pleased with our stay.

This is the best of the best- Greg's cabin in the forest is truly a one-of-a-kind find. You truly feel like you are in a fancy treehouse, and Greg's cabin is fully equipped for a perfect weekend getaway. The view are stunning, the trails around his house are breathtaking, and Greg made everything very easy.

Hidden Gem

  • 5 of 5

We had the most incredible experience staying at this cabin. It is hidden way back in the woods surrounded by national forest right on a long rushing creek. It feels like you are in New Zealand with the scenery and setting. We really enjoyed all of the hiking trails into the forest right from the back yard. Nightime here is hard to describe, but it is truly magical. The creek is beautifully lit all along it with sitting areas and multiple firepits. The tall hemlocks and rhododendrums everywhere add to the magical feeling it brings. This property has alot of acreage to explore day or night.

It truly is a unique and special cabin and we thank you for sharing your place with us. You won't find a more gracious owner who lives nearby and is available to help with anything you need before or during your stay and is very resourceful about the activities in the area (that is if you ever want to leave this place). He is also a hiking and cycling guide for the enthusiasts. He took us on a hike we never would have found ourselves to a beautiful waterfall deep in the woods.

The cabin itself is true log and inside is impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. The rock fireplace is beautiful, all stone and actually looks medieval. It puts off some heat! The cabin is right on the creek, so you can hear the beautiful creek sound throughout the cabin. It is quite the peaceful sleeping music. There is also an outdoor kitchen area with a large gas grill that is lit up in the evening.

We have rented many places in the Blue Ridge area, and this one is truly a hidden gem. If you look at the rental book in the cabin, you see all the rave reviews. Everyone wants to keep it their secret as this cabin has many repeat guests. We decided to share the secret and write a review. If you are looking for privacy, seclusion, romance, and love being surrounded by beautiful nature, absolutely rent this special retreat.

We are already reserving our return!
