Liked: Communication, location
Disliked: Check-in, listing accuracy
The property is conveniently located near many attractions and destinations, but unfortunately, it is not on the best block. Since we arrived late at night, we were especially cautious about the area. The gate was also not working when we arrived, and another guest had to let us in.Once inside, we discovered that the mini-split was immediately producing a steady stream of condensation from the vent onto the floor. We were provided only one towel per person, so it was nearly impossible to keep up with the amount of water. We eventually placed a bowl underneath it, but the water continued throughout the night and the bowl was not enough to contain it. I understand that San Diego can be humid, but there should be a better solution to this issue, and I would have expected the property manager to address it more effectively. There were also some cleanliness and maintenance concerns. The walls were dirty, and the couch was questionable in terms of cleanliness. We initially had difficulty keeping the door properly latched because it appeared to be swelling. That said, the communication regarding the booking was good. We were notified in advance about a scheduled power outage, and the check-in and check-out instructions were very detailed and helpful.Overall, I know the stay could have been much worse, but I feel this property has the potential to be much nicer with better maintenance, cleanliness, and attention to some of these issues.
My stay was good! However, 7B is in need of some fixes. The wardrobe door was broken. The bathroom is in need of a deep cleaning around the bathroom vanity faucet. And, lastly the bench at the foot of the bed is filthy and needs cleaning or replaced. It’s a nice property but the cleaning and maintenance is substandard.
