As posted before the cabin decor is older but what a beautiful location, the lake is amazing and you’ll definitely want to rent a pontoon for your stay. Got to experience the cicadas!

Thank you Sheila, Glad you experienced our boats during your stay ! Cabins 1 thru 6 are our older cabins with more rustic decor, 7 thru 10 are newer and more modern
Hope to see you again soon, Denise
This is a great location on the lake. The natural surroundings are wonderful. The cabin itself will need some updates before too much longer. Overall, a great experience!

Thanks Reaid, glad you enjoyed your stay. Have recently updated furniture etc.
Cabin was clean, in a beautiful area, and just nice and quiet. The only complaint we had was there was no warning we had to to flip the switch for the hot water and stove in the fuse box, ready to get a shower Friday night, only to realize we had to flip the switch and wait for it to heat up, wish we would’ve known that. Figured out quickly why the stove wasn’t working, just wish we had known beforehand. Besides that the cabin is great for a quick nice stay in the Georgia mountains!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
The cabin was over priced. Additionally, its furnishings were old and bed mattresses were very hard. This cabin was more like camping than a comfortable stay and needs to be listed as such. The one plus was that it had air conditioning.

Hi Michael, I am so sorry you were disappointed with your cabin. I would have happily upgraded you to a newer cabin if I had known you weren't happy. Cabin 2 is one of our older cabins, but one of the most popular due to the amazing lake views and private location. It is also priced lower at $180 a night but I appreciate the fees and taxes do increase the cost to the traveler. I hope you will consider renting again and adding a boat rental for the full experience of beautiful Carters Lake. Thanks for staying though and happy travels ! Denise
