Creekside Hideout

If you are looking to slow down and relax by flowing creek located in the beautiful Blueridge Mountains of North Carolina. Cozy and secluded yet convenient to West Jefferson. Nice creek with water falls along side of the drive in. Enjoy the fresh mountain air on the large deck with charcoal or gas grill with three outside tables. Creekside hideout is secluded, but just five minutes from the historical downtown of West Jefferson, NC. It is 2/10ths of a mile from New River State Park, Elk Shoals Access, where you can do activities such as fishing, tubing, and kayaking. This is a local swimming hole in the summer. In five minutes you can enjoy the town of West Jefferson, where you can stroll down the streets, shop at local shops, enjoy art galleries of local artists, enjoy great food and indulge in the local spirits in two breweries of Boone Docks, New River Brewery and the Wine Shoppe. You can watch cheese being made at the famous Ashe Cheese Factory and buy the goods at the shop across the street. This is located near our Parkway Theater which two movies are available. Creekside Hideaway is located 4.5 miles from the Blueridge Parkway where the views are amazing. We are located 26 miles from Boone, NC, home of Appalachian State University and Appalachian Ski Mountain where you can enjoy winter activities such as skiing, snow boarding. 47 miles from Beech Mountain Ski Resort where depending on weather there is an ice skating ring, skiing, etc. Grandfather Mountain is about 46 miles from the cabin.

If you like isolated and quiet yet only minutes from West Jefferson this fits the bill. Small rustic cabin, tight spaces inside but very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Really enjoyed the fire pit by the creek. Bob, the owner, is local and was very friendly and responsive.

Location was peaceful across from stream. You probably need a 4 wheel drive to access in poor weather. Host was accessible. Setup would be challenging if handicapped. Bathroom and hallway.very narrow. Kitchen well stocked. We enjoyed location.

Nice cabin. Few very tight spaces for someone with a walker. Few of the floors were uneven meaning you had to step up or down. Very cool inside the cabin. We had to get help from Bob to start the minisplit. But had a nice relaxing time.

Secluded and convenient

Great hidden property. Rustic. In the woods. Lovely stream. Nice property. Everything you need is there. Go out of the driveway and cross the road the the New River access to fish and swim. 10 minutes to West Jefferson for coffee or a meal. Great time!

Great Getaway

Cute and clean cabin - only a few minutes from downtown West Jefferson. Quiet, secluded, peaceful! Really enjoyed the deck and yard and all of the outdoor furniture, gas firepit table, and outside games.

Location, location, location! A small stream on the property and within a pleasant walk to the New River for swimming, sunning or tubing. Perfect water conditions for kids of all ages.

Cute cozy mountain cabin surrounded by nature---remote yet close to town. Small , but very functional . Has a warm and inviting decor. Lots of mountain and rustic touches. Well stocked kitchen and great deck for hanging out in nature. Host was very responsive and helpful. Would like to rent this property again in the future. Our fur babies liked it too!!!

Perfect quiet secluded area

We loved our stay in West Jefferson! There were plenty of outdoor activities to do. Our kids loved exploring the creek and roasting marshmallows in the firepit. We had beautiful weather and ate many meals on the deck.
