Nice location, lots of room, lots of character.
Very nice first and second floors, with loads of room and lots of light. Third floor is better suited for kids or teens. Great parking for a large group, which sometimes can be a problem in Lake Placid, especially in winter. Easy walk into town. Our entire group had a really enjoyable stay.
House needs some tender loving care but had loads of charm.
Cleaning service should pay more attention to 3rd floor bedrooms.
Owner needs to check all amenities and verify all in good working condition.
Cold week in a warm house.
Older house but kept up well. Plenty of linens and kitchen equipment. Close to town. We had 3 families there and there was plenty of room. Had a great time!
Great time for all!
Our stay was with 3 families. The house is rather large so the kids had their own space as did the adults. The layout really worked for all of us. The beds were comfortable too.
Beautiful home close to downtown Lake Placid
This home is great! It's walking distance from downtown Lake Placid and about 15 minutes from Whiteface. Very comfortable and the owner and caretaker are very responsive to the needs of their guests. We had a fantastic time here!
Lovely homey home, a highlight
We rented four houses in this neighborhood, and ended up having the longest night at this home. It's lovely and comfortable, which isn't to say modern and renovated-- there are fancier showers and hot tubs elsewhere-- but there's a pool table here, there's trivial pursuit, there are a lot of gathering places, the type of place you walk in and drink a beer and never feel underdressed or that you have to overperform.
Joe is good, fast, with communication. Reasonable guy, even gave us a later move out time.
This is a massive, comfortable, fun house, and if you're with a group of people who want primarily to laugh and enjoy each other, it's hard to think of a better place you could do it. Highly recommended.
