Located in the heart of historic downtown Sandwich, Upstairs on Main is the perfect place to stay for a vacation in the quaint seaside town of Sandwich. The one bedroom studio is located on the second floor of a historic building which once was the town post office. It's been newly renovated and is walking distance to several restaurants, shops, historic landmarks and a 2 minute drive to the famous boardwalk beach. The studio has a queen bed, 1 bathroom and full kitchen.

This stay was a little more meaningful to me than the average vacation. I came to the Cape on a solo trip that was part birthday celebration, part genealogy research, and part homecoming to a place that holds a lot of family history for me. I honestly couldn’t have picked a better place to stay.The location was perfect. The neighborhood is adorable, filled with quintessential Cape Cod homes, and I felt completely safe staying here alone. It was also wonderfully walkable. I walked to The Brown Jug for incredible pizza and went back another morning for coffee and a pastry, which quickly became one of my favorite little parts of the trip.The apartment itself is every bit as beautiful as the photos. It’s stunning, comfortable, and full of thoughtful details. After long days spent visiting cemeteries, digging through old records, exploring places connected to my family, and generally having a lot of feelings about all of it, coming back here genuinely felt like coming home.I also celebrated my birthday during my stay, which made the whole experience even more special.Communication with the host was excellent from beginning to end. This was one of those places that became part of the memory of the trip rather than simply where I stayed. I was genuinely sad to leave, and I would absolutely stay here again.

Great location and very cozy apartment

This vacation rental was in the best location in Sandwich. Host was very responsive and readily available in her shop downstairs. The rental was very clean and contained a more than adequate supply of towels for our stay. Very enjoyable week!

Absolutely loved the decor - I’ve never seen a cuter place. And so convenient to restaurants, shops and the Daniel Webster Inn where we attended a wedding. Appreciated the bench for a suitcase and the seating for TV viewing. We wanted to watch a football game after the wedding and it was quite comfy there.

Fall Weekend

We stayed for a weekend wedding that was held down the street at the inn. Perfect place for us, so nice to have a kitchen and more room to spread out. Lovely space and beautiful area, we would like to come back for another stay here and see more of Sandwich. I would also like to add that the check in was easy, and the owner was very responsive to our questions. Great experience.

This was by far the sweetest little apartment in the best possible neighborhood of Sandwich village. we stayed for 3 nights, and it was incredibly cozy, charming and perfect to celebrate our anniversary. Sandwich has been a second home for us for the past thirty years and if we could pick one place to stay over and over again, this would be it. Lovely walks, close to the boardwalk, great places to eat and drink all a quick walk from the door... there's a small kitchenette where you can make your own coffee and make a meal If you want. Sandwich Village has everything nearby, and this place was the perfect spot to stay. Our host Cara was wonderful and accommodating, she has created a magical home away from home.

Perfect Sandwich Location

Everything about this studio is exactly as shown. Very comfortable, cozy and clean. Decorated with designer flairs and touches. The location is spot on. Surrounded by local shops and restaurants with New England charm. Yet minutes away from all of Sandwich amazing places to visit. We were extremely pleased with our accommodations.

A beautiful and comfortable space

Cara and Lisa were both very welcoming and made sure I knew they were available if I had any questions. The space; jaw dropping. Generous size, with spa like decor. Would highly recommend and would certainly return. Be sure to check out Beth’s Bakery and Cafe just down on Jarves St.

The apartment was so great. It was more space than excepted. The decor so beautiful and comfortable. The area was more than I thought we would see. Cara was extremely nice when meeting her. We would definitely recommend and stay there again.

The property is located in a great spot (the center of town) with easy walking distance to shops and amenities. Sandwich is a lovely, quaint town, and nice to walk around. The apartment was clean and comfortable - somewhat outdated. Would have been nice to have a television that works and that has actual cable service. The bathroom was not ideal due to the old shower and a suggestion would be to replace the paper plates and plastic utensils with real dishes.

Hi Tina, So sorry that the television didn't work. It should have. We have a Roku tv with cable streaming and Netflix. I was not aware that it was not working. The building is a historic building so naturally some features are outdated but part of the charm. The bathtub is original to the building. We do have real dishes in the cabinet and silverware in the drawer. The paper plates and plastic utensils are there for convenience. Happy you enjoyed the location and comfortableness. it was so cute

everything was as described. it was perfectly located in the center of a bunch of shops and restaurants. the space surpassed what the pictures showed and we loved every second of being there. it was SO aesthetically pleasing and the owners clearly took so much pride in the decor/comfort. every single thing from the wash cloths/towels, comforter set, mattress, pillows, couch, rugs, chandeliers, pictures, movies, games, TV and kitchenware enhanced our stay. it smelled and felt so clean and it was so much more enjoyable being here than a hotel. the employees at the bridal shop attached were also so kind and helpful. we would love to stay here in the future. even if i tried, i don’t have a single negative thing to stay. i HIGHLY recommend staying here. you won’t be disappointed!
