Very quiet and private and only 5 minutes to quaint Highlands downtown shopping and restaurants! A 3-tier fountain welcomes you as you enter the driveway as you get the first glimpse of the magnificent view! Immerse yourself into the professional landscaping that is home and nectar for many birds, butterflies, and hummingbirds. With a creek running through property, there's lots to do inside with a game room, card room, ping pong table, billiard table, puzzles, theater seats, a Tuscany balcony, oodles of books for your relaxation, sunroom, 2 inside gas fireplaces and so much more! An 1800 sq. ft. enclosed full kitchen veranda with gas fire place, dining for 16, rocking chairs for comfortable tv viewing or taking in the view or for star gazing, very private setting. Beyond the veranda is a balcony with a fire pit (even with s’mores condiments provided!) and outdoor dining area. 50 mile views that never end! Make use of the decoration bins with various holiday decor available for Valentine Day, St. Patrick Day, birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. House faces north and south so you see the eastern sunrises and the western sunsets! Optional grocery shopping available for your arrival upon request and at your expense. And a local chef who can prepare personalized meals and dinners for you. This has become a very popular feature as the result is much more economical and convenient than going to local restaurants. View is fabulous!! We had 6 adults and 4 teenagers - more room than we needed. Everything that you need for this stay is at the house. A great room with glass on two sides, kitchen space, table that could seat 15 - 20 (my guess - more than we needed for 10). Everything is first class.

I wouldn't believe that our second visit to Valentine Manor would exceed our first. I was very wrong. The house is spacious, comfortable and provides many extras to make your stay special. This time the large outer kitchen/dining area became the focal point of our visit. The area has the advantage of not only being large and comfortable but also the option to be open or enclosed giving you its use at all times...day or night. Also, the view is still incredible from many locations of the home! If you want to spend a remarkable time with family and friends, then Valentine Manor is the place!

The home was beautiful and perfect for our large family gathering. The three generations were able to spread out and enjoy. We were personally welcomed by our concierge and she lead us through the house and showed us what we needed to know to make our stay go smoothly. We would absolutely stay again!!

The house was wonderful.. room for everyone to have their own space and rooms for us all to be together!!! Owner/host thought of everything we would want and/or need! Outdoor spaces (glassed in and open deck) were amazing as was the amazing view! We did not want to leave!!! Also.. cannot forget how beautiful the grounds were.. so many pretty flowers and trees!!! We willBe back!!!

The views from this house are absolutely jaw-dropping and breathtaking! Pictures do not do it justice! It was a wonderful place to celebrate our dad's birthday and the outdoor spaces are wonderful for larger family gatherings!

Wonderful Stay

The house was large and beautiful, the view our to die for! We spent most of our time on the amazing closed in patio. Everything you could possibly need was in the house. Janet the property manager, was great. She had us a beautiful charcuterie board, wine, and flowers for us. She gave a quick tour of the property. We definitely will stay here again.

FANTASTIC property

Couldn't have been better. The communication was better than any other property I have rented. The welcome gifts were unexpected and tremendous. The house was as expected - except the newly enclosed porch (that was previously just covered). What a phenomenal space. We spent 90% of our time in this space. Just wish we could have experienced the view but the weather didnt cooperate. We did get a little of the view on the afternoon we arrive and the morning we departed. The rest of the time it was raining and couldnt see past property.

Our stay was fantastic! You can not ask for a better house in Highlands to stay at!! The view, the house, and Janet who made all things possible! You can not go wrong with this house. We had everything provided for us that we needed and more! The house is huge with several new features! We hired a private chef for our last night and it was phenomenal! We will come again!

Best VRBO Ever

I have used VRBO many times and have always been satisfied. However, this house and the service was extraordinary. The manager (Janet Sanchez) was very responsive to any questions and set the house up beautifully for our stay. We arrived to a cake, roses, a bottle of wine and a cheese platter to welcome us. The house was very well furnished with everything including pots, pans, dishes, glassware, towels, etc. I highly recommend this property.

The house and views were amazing. We had a great stay at Valentine manor with a couple of minor exceptions. 1). It was very confusing to figure out which light switches went to which lights. 2). We could not get “live” tv channels on the tv in the lower theater room, nor could we get the tv on the enclosed porch to work correctly. It probably would help to have manuals or written instructions for the tvs. 3). The women felt that there could be better knives in the kitchen Other than that everything was great and Janet was wonderful to work with. We have already talked about a possible return.

Above and beyond!

The home is outstanding. It was apparent as Janet, the concierge, showed us around that the owners had thought of every need and comfort people might want. It was fun showing family as they arrived the special surprises, treats and areas of the property. Plenty of spaces for a large group to spread out and enjoy different activities. Everyone had a grand time. My husband told me I had outdone myself with choosing this house. True, I was just very lucky to have found Valentine Manor! Hope you choose to find out for yourselves. Oh, did I mentioned the view!!! The view and the house are both above and beyond. Thank you owners and Janet for providing our family with a terrific vacation.

Next Level Excellence!

We stayed at Valentine Manor for Thanksgiving. My family owns a home in Highlands but there are too many of us to stay in one home. I say this to say that we have stayed in VRBO houses all over Highlands for the last 10 years. Some of them were nice but this is the only home I have ever reviewed. This home was next level excellence. We have never stayed at any house where every item you could possibly want was provided. The home is outfitted in such a way that you feel like it is your home not a cold sterile rental. There were spices in the spice cabinets and toilet paper and paper towels and garbage bags and dishes and plates and beautiful linens and towels. The home was spotless, nothing was shabby or broken down there were even small travel toiletries in case we forgot ours. My niece scraped her hand playing and there were band aids and ointments in the first aid kit. We were met by a concierge assistant who instantly made us feel welcome and showed us every feature and amenity in the home and she had turned on the gas fireplaces so when we came in on that cold rainy windy day it was cozy and felt like home. Honestly, if the four star hotel in town treated their guests this way there would never be any vacancies all year round. To the owner: what a fantastic job! We were already looking at dates in the new year.

Still an awesome house!

Just finished up our 2nd stay at Valentine Manor and had just as lovely a stay. The updated outdoor space is wonderful, and Janet was perfect in her communications (just enough but never intruding). We are already talking about when we come back next year. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Perfect property for large family.

Beautiful property with spacious rooms, well stocked in every way (linens, towels, coffee and coffee makers, kitchen, appliances). The concierge was so helpful introducing us to all the amenities and greeting us with wine, charcuterie, welcome cake and makings for s’mores.
