The property was first settled by the Shackelford family in the mid 1700's, and several head stones bearing the 'Shackelford' name remain on the property today. The property has been owned by the family of the late Judge Paul A. Foster of Mount Pleasant for nearly 3 decades now.
Situated on the Intracoastal Waterway just south of the scenic fishing village of McClellanville, this property is an outdoorsman's paradise. Travelers from all across the globe visit this unique area to fish for Spottail Bass (Redfish), Trout, Flounder, King Mackerel, Tarpon, Sailfish, Marlin, and an exhaustive list of other species. Hunters make the trip to the Lowcountry of South Carolina to hunt Ducks, Whitetail Deer, Doves, Turkeys, and Wild Hogs.

About: Andy is a life long resident of the South Carolina Lowcountry. He is the grandson of the late Magistrate Paul Foster who acquired the DFP properties 3 decades ago. Andy and his wife, Lori, have 3 children - Anthony a Real Estate Developer in Greenville, SC; Julia a school teacher and resident of Mount Pleasant, SC; and Paul a junior at Clemson University.
